Merry Solstice – 2019 Spring Equinox

Mystic Moon by WPNature

Spring Equinox 2019 in Northern Hemisphere will be at 5:58 PM on Wednesday, March 20. Eastern Time.

This year, the first equinox coincides with a full moon. For Pagans this heightens the energy for both the Equinox holiday and the observance of the full moon.

The same conjunction happened just a short three years ago in 2016. Find out more about how you can incorporate the special occurrence in your own ritual observance, Spring Equinox and the Full Moon.

Merry Imbolg & Lammas for 2019

Celebration of the return Sun

Celebration of the Sun

The Festival of Lights and Fire

The time of Spring is upon us here in the Northern Hemisphere as the Sun begins his return to warm our hearts and extend his light in our day. His return rings in the first of the Spring Holidays known as Imbolc, Imbolg, Brigid’s Day or the Festival of Lights.

In the Southern Hemisphere the summer is marked by its peak of the Sun during the Fire Festival. It is the time of Lughnasadh, also known as Lammas or the Fire Festival which honors the Celtic hero Lugh. It is the first of the Pagan Harvest Festivals and the time of year to thank the Tuatha Dé Danann (the Faeries) for their help in our gardens.

These Sabbats (Pagan Holidays) are observed on February 1st or 2nd, depending on one’s personal Tradition (spiritual denomination). Because Pagans celebrate on a Lunar Calendar schedule, our holiday observances actually begin  at sunset on the evening before the scheduled day.

Those who recognize February 1st as the observed holiday, will begin their rituals on January 31st. And for some places in the world, that’s already tonight.

Everyone here at Springwolf Reflections and Spring’s Haven extend our wishes to you and yours for a wonderful and joyous celebration of the warmth. Where ever you are in the world,

May Your Season Be Blessed with Abundance and Happiness

Merry Lughnasadh or Imbolg!

The Summer Fire Festival

It’s time for the first of the Harvest Festivals, we know it as Lughnasadh for Celtic paths. Also known as the summer fire festival it is always a fun event to honor the changing seasons!

As with most things on the pagan calendar, different traditions celebrate and recognize seasonal festivals at different times of the year. Here in the northern Hemisphere, Lughnasadh is recognized on August 1st or 2nd.  It’s the time to recognize and honor Gratitude, Abundance, and bring things to Fruition (Getting it done!)

In the Southern Hemisphere this is the time for Imbolg, the Festival of Lights, when honoring the goddess Brigid and Purification, Initiation, and Dedication to one’s path is recognized.

There are many ways to give thanks and honor during this 1st harvest festival. It celebrates the warmth of the sun, the rain and the faery folk who help tend to the gardens, flocks and fields. As a Celtic festival of the harvest, what better way to give thanks than to prepare a meal with the harvest of your own garden.

Which ever holiday you observe, may it be a wonderful and blessed celebration!

From all of us here to all of you;
Merry Lughnasadh & Imbolg!!

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Eight of Pentacles

Eight of Pentacles

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Spend time mending fences instead of holding onto your anger. Not everyone is to blame for the event you’re mad about. But it sure seems like you’re taking it out on everyone around you. Take a deep breath and allow your inner kindness to show. You’re not the only one who is worried or concerned. So stop pushing others away, when all they really want to do is help.

Additional Insight:

Whither it’s a build up of all the little things, or one big event that has you on pins and needles, you’re not alone. Your actions impact others around you and all they want to do is show you support. They’re not part of the problem, and their not out to get you. So stop taking your anger out on them.

You’re better off keeping to yourself and offering a fake smile, than saying something you shouldn’t or uttering something you wish you hadn’t said. You need to breathe and show some patience. Eight days from now, things are going to be totally different and the decisions that have been made will show their hand. Those making the decisions will see the error of their ways and make necessary, and beneficial changes. But you must wait for them to get to that point on their own.

Just do what you need to do, follow the direction you’ve been given and keep your nose to the grind stone. The work you do now will be noticed, especially if you show the quality in your efforts that benefit everyone.  Use your newly discovered spare time to fill out paperwork, submit requests and follow-up on issues that are more personal in nature. This is your opportunity to complete the tasks that benefit you most. The Divine Universe is providing you this opportunity to improve your situation while you wait. Take advantage of it. You’ll be glad you did.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: The Chariot

The Chariot

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Ride it out, don’t go in looking for a fight and just watch the drama work itself out. The game isn’t over, but you still have no part to play. Decisions are being made in the shadows that have to face the light of day. There’s no agreements being made, just knee jerk reactions. That alone, will have consequences and you don’t want to be in the way.

Additional Insight:

Today you need to mind your manners and hold your tongue. While some decisions are impacting your ride, they won’t last for very long. Allow the Divine Universe to work its magik as those around you search for answers that bring about the necessary balance. There’s nothing you can do right now, but wait and be patient.

This isn’t the time to panic or make rash decisions. The cart is moving too fast to know which way to turn. If you move too quickly, you could be giving up the security you’ve built up. Just be calm and watch the aftermath relating to the actions already taken. You have plenty of time to do your paper work and prepare for any scenario.

Take advantage of the opportunity to catch up on the things you’ve been putting aside for too long. You already know there are some items on your list that you can do, maybe even things you’ve long needed to do. Stop putting off the fine details and make time to fill out the forms and submit the requests. Even if you stay where you are, those “certifications” will give you some much needed leverage. Make it a priority of your day and get it done.

By evening, don’t count on having any more information than you did this morning. You’re not being kept out of the loop, because no one really knows what’s happening. Even though you still don’t know what all the issues are, allow yourself to relax. The pressure is off your shoulders, even if it’s just for a little while.  Spend some quality time with those you love and don’t worry! It’s going to be ok. You’re not going backwards!

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Knight of Cups

Knight Of Cups

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Be watchful, keep silent and stay out of the fray. A backlash is about to occur and you don’t want to be anywhere near it. Guard your domain, but don’t engage in the fight. It’s not yours to defend, nor is it in your best interest to rebuke. You’ll learn more by remaining silent and if possible, remain hidden.

Additional Insight:

The battle that’s raging around you, has nothing to do with you. The conflict may impact you down the road, but don’t assume that’s a bad thing. Some issues must be hammered out and put to rest in order for you to move forward with your goals. But that doesn’t mean you need to stick your nose in, where it doesn’t belong.

Just sit back and watch. Remain ready in case you need to push the fight back onto the battlefield and away from your personal domain. Don’t allow someone to pull you into the fray with the idea that you’re going to stand up for their side. You might want them to win, but whatever you do, don’t let that get out. A simple “don’t bring me into this” will be sufficient to keep you in neutral territory. Don’t even think you can be the mediator and bring peace to the situation. It’s not your place!

By evening, you’ll be able to relax and have a better understanding about what’s been going on behind closed doors. Keeping your nose to the grind stone and avoiding the drama, will be noticed by those in charge of the battle. And it will be appreciated. When the “King” comes calling, and only IF you’re asked what would you do, should you give your opinion. Just make sure you do it in private and without pointing fingers at anyone. Don’t tear anyone down, don’t build anyone up too much. And be able to justify your opinion. Otherwise, you’re just another clog in the wheel.
