Meditation Guides

What is Meditation?
Prayer allows you to talk to the Divine and petition for assistance. Meditation allows you to become one with the Divine and discover the divine within your inner being.

Meditation has been practiced around the world in every known religion, from Buddhism to Christianity. Many people have meditated for spiritual communication, personal fulfillment, as a form of worship or just to relax and relieve stress. During this century western societies have begun to recognize the benefits of meditation.

There are numerous forms of meditation techniques around the world. If one doesn’t work for you, don’t get discouraged. Try another method. This is one of those things where you simply need to keep going until you find the method that works for you. The method I teach is usually called Free-Form, there’s no mantra, no drumming or specific stance or posture. There’s just you, your mind and learning to relax and go within yourself. If you’d like a step by step process for Free-Form Meditation, you can find my Learning To Meditate here on Reflections. Continue reading

Learning To Meditate

How To Get Started – Tips and Tricks

MeditationThere are as many methods and approaches to meditation as there are people on the planet. And that’s a good thing. Because what works for me, may not be what works for you. If you don’t know how to meditate and are looking for what’s right for you, don’t be afraid to try different methods until you find the one you like most. If you feel drawn to a specific culture, you might first try methods that incorporate elements from that culture into a meditation practice. For instance, if you’re drawn to Native American spirituality, try drumming. If you feel drawn to Indian/Hindu culture try a mantra. If you feel drawn to Tibetan culture, try a Buddhist meditation. And so on.

The meditation method I teach is often termed as Free Flowing or Free Form Meditation. It relies on visualization and meditation music. Visualization is a way of focusing your thoughts and raising your energy or vibration to a higher level of consciousness. When thoughts enter your mind that are distracting, you can use a visualization image to move them out. Such as seeing a peaceful ocean wave was over the grocery list and dissolve it from your mind. Sunday’s Homily: The Law Of Manifestation

The Simplicity Of Success

Give up the belief that you cannot have what you want, and you will be able to achieve your dreams.

Thought is energy. What you think, you will create. That’s true whether the thoughts are positive, negative or indifferent. What you think, creates how you feel and what kind of world directly related to you, will be created. Patterns of thought feed the situations in your life. The more energy you give to a thought pattern, the more you create those thoughts in your Mind, Body and Spirit.

Negative thought patterns can create an uneasiness in your life. That dis-ease will often first appear in your physical body as an ailment. The more you ignore that negative thought, the greater the ailment can become. When you work to consciously change that pattern of thought, you bring healing to the situation. Hopefully you didn’t wait too long, and simply changing the pattern of thinking helps heal the ailment fully.

This can be true for situations in your life as well. Constantly assuming you can’t attain your dreams will establish a self-fulfilling prophecy. You don’t believe you can, so you unconsciously create failure in your life.

The first step to acquiring your dreams is to believe in yourself, to believe you already have the ability to make your dreams come true and that you WILL achieve success. Giving up the doubt releases the anchor that holds you back and releases you to manifest your own Divine Creative energy and succeed. Whether that dream is good health, love, financial abundance or your dream job.

What is the Law of Manifestation?
Thought is the creator behind all operations of manifestations in the material world. These manifestations cannot occur until a suggestion or thought, (some would call it a desire) hits the Subconscious mind. But the Subconscious must also ‘take in’ that thought and process it.

Einstein once said, “Thought is energy, to create it (energy), just use your imagination.” Continue reading
