In the eMail Room

email-lostDealing With Passive/Aggressive Communications

I get lots of mail. LOTS of mail. 99.9% of the time it’s quite nice, with questions, compliments and requests for assistance. The typical stuff.

Every now and then, it’s not so nice. And though there are varying levels of rude and nastiness, the ones that get me laughing, and often get a response are the passive/aggressive ones.

I received one of those today. I’ve had a few students, and fellow Metaphysical ministers ask me how do you handle these? How do you not let them get to you? Well that’s easy really. I’m not what those people “expect” me to be, so it’s easy not to fall into their trap and react the way they “expect’ me to react. Continue reading

The Mission Within 2014

numerology-shamanisticA Little Numerological Insight for 2014:

I don’t think we’ve taken a look at the Shamanistic Numerology perspective of the year 2014. So let’s do that today. Because I’ve noticed a big theme in all the Daily Tarot Meditation messages so far during this first month of the year.

I think a little more perspective might help everyone with their personal missions. Not to mention give a little more insight into the events and issues you may face moving forward throughout the year. The more knowledge you have about the energy flowing through the coming months, the better able you are to make conscious choices that could make things a little easier for your own journey. Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Eight of Swords – Inverted

Eight of Swords - Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

It’s your own anger and frustration that are keeping you tied up and unable to get free. In order to for the bindings to loosen and fall away you must first find compassion for yourself and your situation. Take time to look for the lesson you’re refusing to learn.

Additional Insight:

The more you fight against change, the tighter you make the ropes that hold you in your current situation. Your anger over past events that can’t be changed, and current events that are frustrating and out of your control are material that have forged your bindings.

Things really aren’t as bad as you’ve created them to be in your head. Rather it’s your own refusal to let go of those things that no longer serve you in the here and now, and you anger at being pushed forward that are making everything harder than it needs to be.

You must relax, stop and take a breath. You must begin to show compassion, kindness and love for yourself. This has been a theme for the first month of this new year. Being kinder to yourself, stop being your own worst enemy, forgive yourself for the choices you’ve made in the past and love yourself for the good things you see within you.

You have the power to be who you’re meant to be in this life. And you are the perfect reflection of the Divine Spirit for the mission your soul is here to complete. All you need to do is stop fighting so hard against who you are and who your soul is trying to guide you to be.

Take time today and this weekend to clear and cleanse your energies. Get a fresh start for the rest of the year. Live up to your own potential and what YOU have come here to do. Not what others say you’re here to do, or what family members say you must do. But what your own soul and spirit know is within your heart and mind to do. Live your passion and everything else will fall into place.

Merry Imbolg & Lammas

Celebration of the return Sun

Celebration of the Sun

The Festival of Lights and Fire

The time of Spring is upon us here in the Northern Hemisphere as the Sun begins his return to warm our hearts and extend his light in our day. His return rings in the first of the Spring Holidays known as Imbolc, Imbolg, Brigid’s Day or the Festival of Lights.

In the Southern Hemisphere the summer is marked by its peak of the Sun during the Fire Festival. It is the time of Lughnasadh, also known as Lammas or the Fire Festival which honors the Celtic hero Lugh. It is the first of the Pagan Harvest Festivals and the time of year to thank the Tuatha Dé Danann (the Faeries) for their help in our gardens.

These Sabbats (Pagan Holidays) are observed on February 1st or 2nd, depending on one’s personal Tradition (spiritual denomination). Because Pagans celebrate on a Lunar Calendar schedule, our holiday observances actually begin  at sunset on the evening before the scheduled day.

Those who recognize February 1st as the observed holiday, will begin their rituals on January 31st. And for some places in the world, that’s already tonight.

Everyone here at Springwolf Reflections and Spring’s Haven extend our wishes to you and yours for a wonderful and joyous celebration of the warmth. Where ever you are in the world,

May Your Season Be Blessed with Abundance and Happiness

The Black Moon

The Black Moon

The 2nd New Moon Of The Month

The Second New Moon Of The Month

The Moon has long been a significant object in Earth’s orbit to many cultures around the world.  Approximately every three years there are two full Moons in one calendar month. These Blue Moons are often reported in the news and highlighted in a years calendar as being something special.

But with every full moon, there’s also a New Moon which can also occur twice in a single month and is also a rare event. But she doesn’t seem to receive the same spectacular acknowledgement as her bigger sister the Blue Moon.

On January 30th, 2014 we’ll see the second occurrence of the New Moon in a single month. And like the second full moon, the second New Moon also has a special name. It’s called a Black Moon. Continue reading

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Five of Wands – Inverted

Five of Wands - Inv

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Within each of us is a star trying to be nurtured and hatched within ourselves. You don’t have to sell your soul to make your dreams come true. You don’t have to give away all the things about yourself that make you who you are. Don’t change for others because they demand it. Change those things you don’t like about yourself and nurture the rest. Hold yourself in high esteem and respect. Be humble and compassionate to others. And you will be able to let your star streak across the sky where others can see your beauty too.

Additional Insight:

Represent the essence of Enterprise & Inaction, Inspiration & Pessimism, Distinction & Disregard.

Don’t disregard your own dreams and ambitions. No one else can live your life for you. So no one else has the right to force you down a path you don’t really want to go. Whither by force or manipulation, no one has your best interests to heart more than your inner spirit. So take some time to sit down and figure out what YOU truly want from within your own soul. You might surprise yourself.

Living a life of complete happiness means allowing your inner soul to speak and guide you down the road you choose to tread. You came here with a mission and there maybe many paths in front of you that will help you manifest that mission. Someone who has decided to be a healer can study hard and become a doctor, nurse or even a spiritual holistic healer. And even on each of those healing paths, are more roads to choose from. A surgeon specializing in neuroscience, a nurse specializing in pediatric care or a healer specializing in Reiki can all complete the mission your spirit decided to work on before you were even a glint in your mother’s eyes.

No one can know what your mission is, but you. Give yourself the respect to go within and accept the gift of knowing and understanding from your higher conscious self, your soul. Give yourself the courage to walk the path you were meant to lead, and stop taking the paths others expect you to follow. It’s your life. You should be the guide for it.

A little Shamanistic Numerology today.
When I published this post, WordPress told me it was the 860th post and that number caught my attention. As you know if you’ve read my blog in the past, I like to analyze numbers when they shine a light on themselves. So here goes.

Actual Derived Designed Calculated
860 8+6+0=14 1+4=5 5

Five – The number of chaos and force, influences, and creation.

  • This number is associated with Jupiter.
  • This number is associated with the Holly Tree.
  • This number is associated with the Wolf.
  • It represents Chaos and Creation (out of chaos comes creation).
  • Positive Direction: The number of leadership and the executive. This is the number of optimism and vision. Being able to see through the chaos and create success. Those with 5 in their life are assured of their own ability to succeed and create success even in adversity. They are adventurous and easily take risks.
  • Negative Direction: 5 can sometimes be too risky and make decisions based on a whim instead of inner intuition and research. They can over simplify, or live in a perspective of what could be instead of what is. While this might be beneficial in business, it’s detrimental in relationships and family.

Fitting for a card that says for you to be the leader of your own path.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Death

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

The end of a difficult time is at hand. Those who have looked within, been honest with themselves and worked to change the things they do not like about their character or actions will triumph. Those who continue to point fingers and blame others for their trials, will continue to struggle. You are responsible for your thoughts, your voice and your deeds. Make sure you are accepting your accountability in the matters at hand, even if it means being brutally honest with yourself.

Additional Insight:

No one else is responsible for the choices you have made in life. No one controls your thoughts, what you say or your actions to put those thoughts and words into practice. If you are not honest with yourself about what you do, and constantly blame others, you will not change the path you tread.

Only you can change you. No one else can learn your lessons for you any more than you can learn lessons for them. Stop yelling at others and blaming other people for the fix you’re in now. They didn’t make the choices for you. You could have stepped up to the plate and gotten into the game long ago when your support was needed. You could have been cautious or conservative those many years ago when the material world was dangled in front of you.

You could stopped drinking, or doing the drugs before it landed you out of a job or relationship. You could have accepted the help that was offered you instead of holding onto your unrealistic pride. You could start loving yourself for who you are and what you look like and stop finding fault where there is none. You could have listened to the warnings from your friends and family about that person you said you were in love with, maybe you too would have seen the writing on the wall.

All that self negative talk we do every day in hindsight doesn’t change the past once single bit. All it does is hold us in disrespect of ourselves and keep the blinders on from what’s really needed. And that’s to love ourselves.

When we can love self and forgive ourselves for the past mistakes, we can begin to look honestly at the choices we’ve made. We can see the mistakes and using compassion learn to understand why we made those choices at that time in our lives. We can accept those faults or failings and make the conscious choices to innovate, adapt and overcome them in the here and now. We can align our thoughts with the Divine force in our life and see the path forward from a higher view that allows us to make better choices and direct our path down the more welcoming road.

We all have the choice to change those things about our self that holds us back. But first we must be able to love the self enough to be brutally honest and look within.  You can only change yourself, but that will change how others respond to you.
