Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: King of Cups –

King of Cups

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

As the ruler of your life, it’s up to you to review where you’ve been and where you’re going. Contemplate and think. Review all that you have learned, you know a lot more than you give yourself credit for. See how far you’ve come. Imagine how far you can go. Put forth the same energy in making it happen as you do in dreaming about it, It’s not going to happen on its own. So take charge and govern your life to lead it in the direction you need and want it to go!

Additional Insight:

You have the ability to create the world you dream of, especially when you align your desire with your spiritual lessons and mission. Stop dreaming about it and start making practical efforts to manifest those dreams into reality. Putting off the physical activities is only going to prolong the struggle and feelings of inadequacy. STOP IT! You’re better than that, you’re worth more than that! You have the connection to the unlimited Divine Creative force in the Universe. Tap into it, and use it to make a difference in your own life! Remember, you deserve it as much as anyone else does.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Ten of Pentacles – Inverted

Ten of Pentacles - Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

There’s more to abundance than your bank account. Prosperity comes in many forms; from spiritual enlightenment, mental happiness, love of life, compassion for all living things, caring for family and friends. And all of those things are important to be shown to the self as well. How you treat you is one of the most important aspects of expressing energy and manifesting what you need in your life. If you’re not good to you, how will the Universe be good to you?

Additional Insight:

Abundance and Prosperity are not solely about what you have in the material world or what you can spend. It applies to all aspects of your life. Now is not the time for instant material gratification. That joy from shopping and spending will not open the doors to new prosperity. Not to mention the emotions are fleeting, especially when you realize you shouldn’t have made the purchase(s) in the first place.

When you create lack in one area of your life; you allow that energy to spill over into all other areas as well. When you create lack in your belief in self, in your ability to express kindness and love to your inner being then you create that same lack in other areas of your life. Don’t be so critical of yourself! Don’t blame yourself for the little mistakes. Forgive and comfort, let go and move on.

Begin the positive change in your life and create abundance in mental thought, health, family, friends, love and compassion by being thankful for all the little blessings you already have. Don’t lose sight of your spiritual beliefs; put them into practice toward your own inner being.  Create abundance in self love and compassion; and you can manifest abundance in all areas of your life.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Four of Sword – Inverted

Four of Swords - Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Rest in the arms of your inner self and be at peace with your own self love. It’s not the approval of others, the pat on the head or the compassion from outside your self that you need today. It’s caring, compassion and less self judgement and criticisms that you should focus on. Today is your day to be your own best friend and remember how great of a friend you really are.

Additional Insight:

Don’t help others criticize you. You need someone to stand up for you and show compassion, understanding and support. There’s no one better to that than your own inner spiritual self. So show yourself some love, kindness and caring.

But don’t let your self love turn to arrogance and superior ego. Be cautious of how you express your confidence and strength in yourself. It’s a fine line sometimes; but no matter how you try to be humble, others will see arrogance while others see confidence. And often it’s not about ‘you’ but rather their own view and perspective of themselves.

May 26, 2012

Springwolf Author of Pagan Metaphysics 101: The Beginning of Enlightenment

I spent the day with dear friend of mine, Springwolf who has been a spiritual teacher for as long as I can remember. The official line is “Springwolf is a deeply respected teacher of Pagan Metaphysics, Enlightenment, and personal development. For over twenty-five years, she has been committed to making esoteric material comprehensible for everyone. She has written many articles concerning metaphysical and pagan practices”.

Spring has written a book to share her knowledge and help pagans fill in some of the blanks that most modern occult books leave out. She sat down with me to talk about her book and share some insights behind its concepts, her research and experiences. Continue reading

Blessings On Memorial Day – Thank You

Fallen But Not Forgotten

Fallen But Not Forgotten

For many this weekend is simply an extended three days away from work. But for others it’s a reminder of what they’ve lost and the sacrifices that have been made for freedom. Formerly known as Decoration Day, it originated after the American Civil War to commemorate the fallen Union Soldiers. The south too had its day of Decoration, but the date of celebration varied through out each region of the nation.

On June 28, 1968, Congress passed the Uniform Holidays Bill, which moved four holidays, including Memorial Day, from their traditional dates to a specified Monday in order to create a convenient three-day weekend. The change moved Memorial Day from its traditional May 30th date to the last Monday in May. The law took effect at the federal level in 1971.

From its origins, Decoration Day expanded with each passing year becoming more nationally recognized for all Veterans of the Armed Forces and from every war the United States participated in. The practice grew again after World War II when Decoration Day slowly transitioned to Memorial Day and included any family member that had passed. It became a day of remembering relatives and decorating cemeteries, whither or not they were service men and women. Many suggest the sacrifices that all Americans made during WWI and WWII to support our troops deserved recognition as well. Thus the day of honoring those who made sacrifices and lived through the hardships of war were included in Memorial Events.

Today Memorial Day is seen as one of the two biggest Patriotic Days of the year. Coming second only to the 4th of July. Flags are placed on grave sites of those who paid the greatest price for our freedom and flowers are laid by those we have lost and remember with memories and love.

What ever your method of celebration and honor this weekend, when you see a soldier thank them for their service. Let them know you appreciate their sacrifice and support them here and over there.

Blessings On this Memorial Day everyone. Please have a safe and relaxing extended weekend! And spend a few moments remembering what this weekend is about. – A deep and heart felt Thank You to all the Men, Women and Soldier Animals of our Armed Services, living and in spirit!

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: The Priest & Two of Cups

The Priest

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Sometimes 2 cards find their way into the daily drawing instead of one. Today was one of those days.

.

The Priest –
You control your future, guide it with reason, insight and purpose. You have many tools in your arsenal that can be utilized for gaining insight, don’t ignore the ones that are within your higher consciousness. When you view your path from spiritual vision, you will see the way clearly and avoid the pot holes that try to get in the way over the weekend.

Additional Insight for the Priest:

Take accountability for your own actions and your life. You can’t keep looking to others to guide your choices because you think they’re hard. Release the fear and sit upon your own throne where you can go within, connect with your higher consciousness and divine your answers from spirit. Allow the healing to take place, and you’ll be able to walk the path that brings the greatest joy and contentment.

.

Two of Cups

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

.

Two of Cups –
Be ready for a gift from spirit this weekend. It’s unexpected, but you’ll be thrilled with the surprise. Accept with love and appreciation.

Additional Insight:

It maybe a tangible present given from an unexpected source, or something non-tangible coming to you from spirit. But be open to it when it comes. It will make a difference in your life and brings both warmth and love into your weekend.
