Undelivered

I received an email this past week asking a question. When I replied the response bounced back with an eMail address error. I can’t respond to your questions if you don’t give me a valid email address. In these cases I try to respond here on the blog in hopes the sender will see an answer to their question.

Here’s the question:
My question is it possible to do my own rituals without all of the ingredients required in some spells. The reason why i ask is because i am afraid to follow certain ways because on sites and forums i run into people that want to give advice but expect trust from the beginning and can be disrespectful.

I was also wondering how to be able to tell if a spell will cause harm because i dont want to cause harm in any way and it feels like all of the spells i come across as they will harm. Continue reading

Being A Workaholic

Working Hard

Working Hard

The Struggles & Solutions To Relax

I struggle with being a workaholic. I get involved in something and become so focused that I lose track of time, and ignore other things that need to get done. Like having lunch or going to bed.

I start working on a task and find myself hours later, sometimes into the very wee hours of the morning still working on it. It’s stressful. It affects your health when you do it day after day. And it’s simply not good for you.

But if I had a problem with a project, I’ve been known to get so focused that I can’t think of anything else until it’s resolved. I’ve had bosses tell me I have to go home and stand there until I pack up and leave. It was much worse than it is now. I talked to a therapist and tried to resolve the issue.

How can you change the negative patterns and turn your day around to be in the moment, enjoy the world around you and relax? The best way is to find a set of tools that offer rewards and incentives. I think I’ve done quite well overall, but it still creeps up from time to time.    I’ve found ways to help me avoid getting back into the old patterns. Continue reading

A Tool For Writing Incantations or Prayers

Arctic Wolf Fire

“Arctic Wolf Fire”
By Tom-in-Silence

Speaking In Rhymes

I’m of the belief that the spells or prayers that rhyme are the ones that are the easiest to remember.

I found myself in need of some rhyming help this evening while writing a spell. What in the world rhymes with fire and would give force to protection? It dawned on me, there has to be an app for that! Well I don’t know about an app, but I did find a great website that helped!  I thought I’d share my find.

It’s called RhymeZone. What I liked most about this little place is that you can type in the word you’re trying to rhyme with and it not only gives you options, but it also gives you links to definitions. That is very helpful when you’re trying to write a phrase to raise a specific type of visualized energy, such as for a spell or prayer.

Oh..and in case you were wondering,
With this warmth of smoke and fire, I empower this stone with the energy to repel and expire.

Ghost Hunting With Your Phone

Get Your Tinfoil Hat

EVP & EMF SmartPhone Apps

I’m having an absolute blast with my new phone. It’s my first SmartPhone! Anyway..

If you don’t already know, I’m a co-host of a paranormal radio show called The Ænigma Project. Last night the Show’s creator Paul and I were talking about smart phones and the many useless Ghost Hunting apps.

So anyway…after the show we talked a little more, Paul gave me some great advice for what to look for and I did some research online while we talked. Paul has been professionally ghost hunting for over a decade so he has a lot of more experience and exposure to these things than I do. He also has an iPhone so trying to find something that was compatible with my new Nexus was going to take a little longer.

After doing some research and comparing reviews, I settled on Ghost Radar. If nothing else, it’s been very entertaining. I should probably say that I’m an old school psychic and have tended to refrain from technology when it comes to “proving” the existence of spirit and ghosts. I do read academic research and studies on a variety of esoteric topics, such as the effects of meditation on the brain and physical being. So I tend to shy away things like this.

You can also learn more about Ghost Hunting Tools and Alternative Equipment from one of our past Ænigma shows.

Forms of Spirit Communication

Communicating With Spirit Through Divination & Psychic Tools

Divination AltarThe following section is a contribution from one of the regular members to my original message board, Panther Witch. She has graciously allowed me to post part of her research on the History of Divination from the board.  I have made a few additions & edits.

Divination:
(From Merriam Webster’s Online Dictionary)
From the Middle English “Divinacioun”,
From Latin “Divination-, divinatio, from divinare”.
Approximate first usage: 14th century

1. The art or practice that seeks to foresee or foretell future events or discover hidden knowledge usually by the interpretation of omens or by the aid of supernatural powers.
2. Unusual insight; intuitive perception.
3. The practice of sensing energy patterns around a person, animal, place or thing and interpreting messages from that energy.

The word divination comes from the Latin word “divinare” or to be inspired by the Divine. Traditionally, it never has mattered which God or Deity has inspired the events foreseen, but almost all religions have had their versions of diviners. It is actually more common than most people realize. Continue reading

What Is A Spiritual Expert – Part VI

Intuitive Psychic

The IntuitivePsychic: (greek psychiokos – psyche, soul or that which is mental) to sense, to understand and to interpret for practical purposes, a force that enters in and emanates out of the body, mind and/or spiritual or ethereal realms without use of the 5 physical senses.

Everyone is psychic to some degree. Most people just don’t realize it or they call it by some other name or phrase. It’s easy for someone to say “I have a gut feeling about this”, instead of admitting to themselves that they are listening to one of their senses, or their psychic insights. But every living animal, including humans, have that 6th sense.

“Being” psychic is just a matter of becoming in-tune with that extra sense which can come in various forms. As children we had to learn and understand our other senses for sight, smell, hearing, taste and touch. We learned about them as a baby and the more we experienced in life, the more we are able to utilize those senses in our daily life.

Psychic senses are exactly the same. They aren’t a special gift, nor do they make one person more special or powerful than the next. We all have these abilities and we all can learn how to develop them and how to use them. Continue reading
