eMail: Manifesting Spirits and Thoughts Into Physical Reality

I Love Interesting Questions!

Last week I shared an email I had received from someone who wasn’t so nice, and how I responded to their message. I’d like to take the opportunity to share a fabulously interesting email I received this week and perhaps show a little contrast.

I love getting email, I love answering questions from people on all levels of understanding and experience. People always apologize for asking basic questions, or being long-winded or for emailing in general. It’s really not necessary to apologize. If I didn’t want email I shouldn’t have put up a contact page and provided a mechanism to receive correspondence. So let’s face it, if I didn’t want to answer questions, I picked a pretty poor profession to avoid it!

I get a lot of email of various kinds and from all over the world. It may take me a few days to a few months to get through them all, but I do answer all of them. Receiving email comes and goes in waves. There are many more messages from fall to spring, especially between Samhain and Yule. And not so many in the summer between June and September. Now that makes sense here in the States. But our summer is the winter for the southern hemisphere and the pattern seems to follow along in the same way. That’s always confused me. But ok.

Now some emails I receive are more interesting than others of course. I love the questions that cause me to really sit back and think how I feel about the topic, or cause me to research a little before I can answer. It’s important to remember that most people share a belief, but that we often call things by different labels. So you might need to research a term or a phrase to discover if this question’s concept is something totally new to you, or is it a topic you’re familiar with that has been given a different name. Fallen But Not Forgotten

Fallen But Not Forgotten

This weekend is a reminder of the sacrifices that have been made for freedom. Formerly known as Decoration Day, it originated after the American Civil War to commemorate the fallen Union Soldiers. The south too had its day of Decoration, but the date of celebration varied through out each region of the nation.

On June 28, 1968, Congress passed the Uniform Holidays Bill, which moved four holidays, including Memorial Day, from their traditional dates to a specified Monday in order to create a convenient three-day weekend. The change moved Memorial Day from its traditional May 30th date to the last Monday in May. The law took effect at the federal level in 1971.

Blessings On this Memorial Day Weekend everyone. Please have a safe and relaxing extended weekend! And spend time remembering what this weekend is really all about.

Many Blessings,
Spring

Sunday Homily: Peer Intolerance

Empowered

Empowered

Clearing the air…a little bit…

What do you do when one of your peers questions your right to hold the titles, or position you’ve worked long and hard to achieve? Do you get angry and fight back? Do you ignore their intolerant comments? Do you try to correct their misconceptions? Or do you meet their hatred with love?

I received a private message on Facebook from someone questioning my credentials and, how do I put it, my “right” to say I’m a metaphysical minister, because clearly I’m pagan.

Well of course I am, I’ve never made any secret about that. I tried to respond to the message but I’m blocked from the seemingly fake account and can not respond.

Sadly the message seems to have come from a member of a private FB group I’m part of as an alumni. Now I surmised this because the message shared quotes I’ve made in posts that are only available and seen on the group page. What made this even more shocking, this is a group of spiritual ministers! Say what?! Continue reading

How Pagans Honor Earth Day

Earth by Koya979 at Shutterstock

Earth Day is April 22nd

This article popped up on my news feed and I thought it was worth the read for all Pagan communities.

It’s a well written article, though I’d disagree with Paganism being “earth based”. Most Pagans are nature based and that’s a Universal perspective, not one that’s limited to Earth alone. We care about all planets, stars, moons etc. We are part of the whole Universe; connected and intertwined with all things seen and unseen, not just what’s here on Mother Earth.

Beyond that, there’s some pretty good and I’d add inclusive information here. Along with some very useful and interesting links.

Check it out on the Huffington Post:

Happy Irish Pride Day

Celebrating The Emerald Isle

Today many pagans see March 17th as a day of anger against a Catholic Priest who practiced genocide upon the pagans of Ireland. Much of this angst is over blown and not really based in historical evidence and fact.  But the idea that St. Patrick drove the snakes (pagans) out of Ireland, still exists and brings up passionate displeasure toward the observance of this Priest.

As with all things, this day has evolved and changed in meaning over time. It’s no longer solely celebrating the life of a Catholic Priest who was promoted to Sainthood. It has become much more secular and is celebrated by people in many religions and faiths. Here in the America’s at least, it’s more about Irish Pride than a religious observance.

To learn more, read about Why Pagan’s Don’t Celebrate St. Paddy’s day. And if you’re Pagan and Irish, honor your heritage by donning the green of the Emerald Isle and raising a toast to the ancient Clans of Ireland.

Everyone Loves A Love Story

Insights Behind Love

Back on May 15, 2012 I wrote an article about Soul Mates, Twin Souls & Karmic Relationships. It became the most popular post here on Springwolf Reflections. Until, I wrote about my research concerning The Legend Of The Sun and The Moon in June 2014.

Celebrate the love of your soul mate” and variations of that always pop up around February 14th and Valentines Day. But it’s also a sentiment that people are drawn to when they want to celebrate their love with the one who is most dear to them. The idea however is one that has evolved over time and thanks to the greeting card companies has taken on a different meaning than its spiritual definition.

Tell me the story about how the Sun loved the Moon so much he died every night to let her breathe.” It’s a beautiful line that pulls at the hearts of many to want to learn more. Storytellers and romantics alike want to know the origins of that line and where it comes from. They want to hear or read the whole story and share it with the ones they love. Continue reading

Mystic Faery Tarot
by Linda Ravenscroft

February 20, 2016 – Press Release

Once again everyone here at Spring’s Haven and Springwolf Reflections would like to send out a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has sent messages and prayers to Spring during her health battle.

On Monday, January 11th she under went a lengthy surgery. But thankfully it was successful. She has been recovering and gaining strength and this past week she was able to return to some of her normal activities. Yeah!

Big March News:
Spring informed us today she will be able to return to business activities at the first of March. Including providing the greatly missed Daily Tarot Meditation Drawing! Expect to see the faeries return, to guide you through the day. Spring explained that she needs something familiar to get back into spin of things and the faeries are the perfect energy to do that.

You can also find our online center Services on our website. We offer both in-house and email/phone/Skype consultations. As a Ministerial organization, all our consultations are private and strictly confidential. And expect to see upcoming and new posts here on her blog.

We’re so pleased to have her back and feeling better. And we thank you all for the aid you provided in helping us all get our boss back to business! Thank you!

Many Blessings,

The Earth Based Spirituality

Paganism & Pagan MetaphysicsI have received a fair number of emails over the past two months asking about the Pagan Earth Based Spirituality. And I’d like to clear up a modern misconception about this.

Paganism of today, especially Pagan Metaphysics is not “earth centered” but rather centered on a larger “cosmic” perspective of life and spirit. This has come about because Pagan Metaphysics strives to grow and broaden its understanding of life and spirit based on new knowledge and discoveries.

Way back when, Earth was the center of the cosmic universe. We know today that this isn’t true. It would be silly to maintain that view today. We grow our views through learning and research, instead of remaining stagnate in the way some other 2000+ year old religious organizations do.  Every thing in life changes. That includes views, beliefs, knowledge and wisdom. They cannot stay the same and refuse to look at how new discoveries evolve old understandings.

This is supported by the idea that Physics and Metaphysics aren’t at odds with each other, but rather depend on each other to understand our physical/spiritual existence. We are bound to expand our knowledge and by doing so, we should grow our understanding and wisdom of our existence. In Paganism, we evolve our understanding to fit what we know now. By doing so, we continue to grow and move toward Divine spiritual enlightenment.
