Insights Behind Love
Back on May 15, 2012 I wrote an article about Soul Mates, Twin Souls & Karmic Relationships. It became the most popular post here on Springwolf Reflections. Until, I wrote about my research concerning The Legend Of The Sun and The Moon in June 2014.
“Celebrate the love of your soul mate” and variations of that always pop up around February 14th and Valentines Day. But it’s also a sentiment that people are drawn to when they want to celebrate their love with the one who is most dear to them. The idea however is one that has evolved over time and thanks to the greeting card companies has taken on a different meaning than its spiritual definition.
“Tell me the story about how the Sun loved the Moon so much he died every night to let her breathe.” It’s a beautiful line that pulls at the hearts of many to want to learn more. Storytellers and romantics alike want to know the origins of that line and where it comes from. They want to hear or read the whole story and share it with the ones they love.
Watching the stats on these two articles has been very enlightening. People love a good love story. No one is an island or a recluse unto themselves. As humans we need to be part of something that brings us together with others. Be it a family group, a group of like-minded people or in a community of people who share a common interest. But it’s that close connection to someone else that brings us fulfillment and also the biggest angst.
I’m not surprised these two articles are the most popular here on the blog. Many strive to learn more about love in order to understand or celebrate the love in their life.
In 2015 The Sun and Moon post received over 23,000 views. More than double the visitors for Soul Mates which received over 10,000 views in the same time-frame. For those of us who write a lot and blog our thoughts, these stats help us tailor our writing for what our visitors want to read about. But as a spiritual teacher and counselor, it gives greater insight into the human psyche. We all need and want love.
When I give an intuitive reading to a client, I instruct them to ask the questions that are the most important at this time in their life. The questions always revolve around money/employment, family and love. The popularity of these two articles support the notion that no matter what else is going on in life, the world revolves around love. And so it should.
Now if we could only get over the fear we have about loving and relationships, we’d all be set. But that’s an entirely different topic.
