Defining What You Believe

What Do I Believe?
A Student’s 1st Assignment

Before you can begin your spiritual journey; what ever that journey is, you have to know where you’re starting from. What do you believe and how does it relate to your spiritual path? Are you looking for a spiritual path, but don’t know which one fits your current beliefs? How are you going to assess where you are today with where you want to be, or where you’ve come from, if you don’t know what you believe today.

It’s easy to sit down and answer questions off the top of your head when talking with someone about what you believe. You jump from topic to topic and you may not even realize how the subjects are interconnected. You can give one description today and two weeks from now, you’ll have a slightly different description. And you won’t even realize you’ve altered your view or perception.

If you take on this assignment, you’ll see how much that ‘easy to answer’ scenario changes. When you’re writing those answers down, putting thought to paper you are forcing yourself to really think about what you believe. You’ll begin writing an answer to a question you were sure you knew, only to discover that you may not be so sure about it after all. It also forces you to connect the dots. You’ll find that as you’re writing an answer to one question, that might contradict your response to another previous question. And suddenly you have to re-think an entire subject. Spirit, Soul, Body – Living As One

Part of living and walking your talk, is learning to live as One with the Divine I think it’s hard for us to put it into a box of this life as Spirit in you life. Whatever that is to you, walking your path means bringing your spirit into your daily life and expressing the love and compassion in all things. Sometimes that can get confusing and people struggle with the concept of becoming one with spirit. How do we do this, what aspects of self are we uniting and connecting. How do we live the talk and belief of our spiritual path?

It can be a daunting perspective to grasp for some. And that’s understandable. Many spiritual teachers talk about “Becoming One”, and explain why it’s important. But how many break it down and explain the details of what that means and how it can be accomplished? Today, we’ll look at how Pagan Metaphysics looks at this concept and how we can become one with the self. Along with the Divine in your life.

To start we need to break down the aspects of self. Who are we? How are we connected and intertwined with the Divine in the first place? Living life actually starts with understanding the processes of physical Life and Death. Back on May 15, 2012 I wrote an article about Soul Mates, Twin Souls & Karmic Relationships. It became the most popular post here on Springwolf Reflections. Until, I wrote about my research concerning The Legend Of The Sun and The Moon in June 2014.

“Celebrate the love of your soul mate” and variations of that always pop up around February 14th and Valentines Day. But it’s also a sentiment that people are drawn to when they want to celebrate their love with the one who is most dear to them. The idea however is one that has evolved over time and thanks to the greeting card companies has taken on a different meaning than its spiritual definition.

“Tell me the story about how the Sun loved the Moon so much he died every night to let her breathe.” It’s a beautiful line that pulls at the hearts of many to want to learn more. Storytellers and romantics alike want to know the origins of that line and where it comes from. They want to hear or read the whole story and share it with the ones they love. Continue reading →

Dreams and Dream Interpretation

What are Dreams?
A Dream, nightmare or vision refers to the kinds of mental images that form during sleep. Dream is the general term for any such succession of images. A nightmare is a dream that brings fear or anxiety. A vision is usually associated with mental images that occur while away (day dreaming) or during meditation.

Dreams come in many forms, shapes and sizes. They can be precognitive and deliver messages of future events. They can be messages from the higher conscious mind to solve problems. They can share spiritual knowledge and wisdom from the super-consciousness (your higher Divine mind) to your conscious mind. They can add clarity to an event, or help prepare the conscious mind for spiritual work such as review current karmic events or spiritual lessons that apply to your present. Continue reading →

How Do Spirits Connect To You For Communication

This article assumes a person who is attempting divination knows how to clear energy and shield themselves and the area they’re working in. Anyone who doesn’t know how to do that is inviting any type of entity into their divination session.

Recently I have been asked about how spirits connect with a psychic or channel for purposes of communication. Not just for divination, but also for guidance and attaining insight into ones spiritual path and enlightenment.

To answer that question I decided to provide my understanding of the “technical” explanation of how spirit energy can connect to our higher consciousness and how spirit communication occurs once that connection is made.

The first thing I’d say here is that everyone is psychic to some degree and everyone has the potential to communicate with spirit. Some call it intuition, others call it gut feeling, but whatever label you’re assigning to the instinct, it’s an ability we all have. Being psychic doesn’t make you special, or unique. It’s a natural sixth sense that we all have. Some of us simply are more aware of it and have tapped into that sense to use it in our daily lives. But it’s something that can be learned. With routine meditation, study, practice and experience anyone can communicate with their own higher spiritual consciousness and with their own connection to the higher Universal Divine Consciousness. No matter what path you walk in life, being a teacher of spirit requires a special talent and passion. It’s not enough to know the material, though that is a very big part of it, but one must also know how to deliver their message with encouragement, empowerment and to promote tolerance. How you choose your words is equally important to how you deliver them to your audience.

The biggest thing to keep in the front of your mind is that you don’t know it all. No matter what your experience level, knowledge, degrees beside your name; you are not the all knowing consciousness of the universe. And that’s ok. Every teacher has more to learn and room to grow. The old saying that a teacher has as much to learn from their students as the student does from the teacher is somewhat accurate. You may have more information about a topic or subject, but there are other “lessons” you can learn from those you teach. Whether your subject is spiritual belief, healing, divination or any other practice; you have not come across every situation a person might face. Some one will surprise you with their experience and you’ll be presented with a moment of learning how to help that individual in a new way or with a different approach than you have used in the past.
