Science Studies Universal Consciousness

Pack PoliticsMorphic Fields

One thing about Metaphysics is that we’re generally patient people. We try to go with the flow and allow everyone to believe what they choose. We are all on our own path and at different levels of knowledge and understanding. But it’s nice to finally see Science catching up with us.

As someone who is interested in Metaphysics, I’m also very interested in Physics. So shows that discuss science, astrophysics, psychology often get my attention. I really like “Through the Wormhole” on Discovery, hosted by Morgan Freeman.

This past weekend we found an episode we hadn’t seen. Morphic Fields: Is there an invisible “morphic field” of energy generated by any living thing that directs the bodies of every animal and plant on Earth? This is only a 2min video of the episode.

It’s sad that science has to change the name to something we spiritual people have known about for centuries as “energy fields” but ok, whatever. The premise is animals have a collective consciousness. We see it in the flight of a flock of birds that move as one, a herd of deer or wilder beasts, in schools of fish and a variety of other animals.

Well humans are animals too. Do we have a collective consciousness? Of course we spiritual people say yes. But Science has long dismissed this notion. Until now. Studies are being conducted at several universities around the world to test the idea behind collective thought or prerogative thought that can be measured on the human level. It’s interesting research and it’s another case of Physics finally catching up to Metaphysical knowledge,

A Traditional Holistic Healing Art

Reiki is an ancient art of healing. It is often referred to as a Zen art of hands on holistic healing, where the healer is a channel for the Divine Universal Life Force Energy.

I have been a practicing Reiki Healer since 1989. Over the past two decades of practice I have learned a few things and changed my view of some aspects of Reiki. As with everything in life, the more you learn and expand your knowledge, so too should your views and perspectives also change and grow.

In 1999 I wrote a section about Reiki on my original educational website. I outlined the general information about what Reiki is, its practices, the general information about the Reiki I and II levels of training. All from the perspective of a traditionally trained Reiki Master. I even included a page on the controversies surrounding the history, attunements and pricing of Reiki training. Continue reading

The Importance Of Mind/Body/Spirit Thinking

crystalwolfHow To Develop Your Spiritual Consciousness Connection

Every animal on this planet has an inner instinct or insight. We’ve heard stories about Elephants grabbing people and running for high ground as a tsunami approaches all in danger. For centuries, scientists have said to watch animals for predictions of bad weather.

According to the USGS in an article entitled “Animals & Earthquake Prediction“:
The earliest reference we have to unusual animal behavior prior to a significant earthquake is from Greece in 373 BC.  Rats, weasels, snakes, and centipedes reportedly left their homes and headed for safety several days before a destructive earthquake.  Anecdotal evidence abounds of animals, fish, birds, reptiles, and insects exhibiting strange behavior anywhere from weeks to seconds before an earthquake.  However, consistent and reliable behavior prior to seismic events, and a mechanism explaining how it could work, still eludes us.

As human beings we are part of that animal kingdom with an inner ability to sense the unseen subtle changes in energy around us. But many have lost or turned away from these natural instincts. They have degraded those who do believe in these inner instincts, ridiculed those who are in-tune with these abilities and vilify those who try to explain and teach others to connect to and talk to their natural intuition on a daily basis. Divination & Spirit Communication

How Do Spirits Connect To You For Communication

This article assumes a person who is attempting divination knows how to clear energy and shield themselves and the area they’re working in. Anyone who doesn’t know how to do that is inviting any type of entity into their divination session.

Spirit CommunicationRecently I have been asked about how spirits connect with a psychic or channel for purposes of communication. Not just for divination, but also for guidance and attaining insight into ones spiritual path and enlightenment.

To answer that question I decided to provide my understanding of the “technical” explanation of how spirit energy can connect to our higher consciousness and how spirit communication occurs once that connection is made.

The first thing I’d say here is that everyone is psychic to some degree and everyone has the potential to communicate with spirit. Some call it intuition, others call it gut feeling, but whatever label you’re assigning to the instinct, it’s an ability we all have. Being psychic doesn’t make you special, or unique. It’s a natural sixth sense that we all have. Some of us simply are more aware of it and have tapped into that sense to use it in our daily lives. But it’s something that can be learned. With routine meditation, study, practice and experience anyone can communicate with their own higher spiritual consciousness and with their own connection to the higher Universal Divine Consciousness. As Above, So Below

The Importance Of Balance

The phrase has come to mean various things to different people, societies and religions. It has evolved on some stages and remained the same on others. But to understand the original concept of As Above, So Below, we need to know where it came from and how it was first used.

Who created the idea and why? How did they implement it and what did it stand for? These questions can help us understand the journey of the concept and perhaps even regain the importance behind the words and how they should still be applied to our lives today.

The History Of Above and Below
In the Pagan and Metaphysical communities, these words are often used and bandied about to show relation between spirit and physical realms. They are reported to have originated from the “Emerald Tablet of Hermes Trismegistus”, also know as the tablet of “The Secret of Hermes”. But this is a downsized version of the tablet’s verse. The original phrase stated “That which is Below corresponds to that which is Above, and that which is Above, corresponds to that which is Below, to accomplish the miracles of the One Thing”

According to Wikipedia there are several translations of this text, including Arabic, Latin, and even one from Isaac Newton. “The compact and cryptic text was highly regarded by European alchemists as the foundation of their art, in particular of its Hermetic tradition. Interpreting the layers of meanings of the Emerald Tablet, from individual words to the overall meaning, is fraught with possibilities, but certainly Alchemy’s Magnum opus and the ancient, classical, element system are the basis of any sound explanation, as they provide a key to the ideas of earth, fire, sun, moon, etc., common to all the translations.” This elemental approach strives to show the balance in all things or the circles of existence.

Over the centuries, many Occult organizations have put their own spin on “As above, so below”. But it’s not only in these realms of mysticism that the phrase can be found. It’s been accepted into almost every known religion today and is often associated with that religion’s history. All three non-pagan religions have laid claim to the phrase and put their own spin on its meaning as well. New Age and modern Metaphysics also have their claims on the concept and have given it their own interpretations. Continue reading

Should You Really Follow Your Heart?

Which Is The Better Guide: Emotions or Instincts?

Happy Valentines Day to one and all.

The Alpha'sToday many people will experience new love, others will rekindle old love, and some will find the strength to walk away from destructive love. It’s a day where people often allow their emotions and heart to get in the way of what they need and allow what they want to take over. But are your emotions the better guide to making the right choices?

The answer might be easier to figure out than you think. We often tell people to “Follow your Heart” when making important decisions. While that might sound like good advice, it’s often the wrong thing to say. Our heart or emotions are often clouded by a variety of psychological elements. Past hurts, nagging voices in our subconscious, fear and trepidation of a potential future of pain and distress all play a role in forming our emotions and emotional responses. Continue reading
