Meditation Prayers

Wolf Prayers & BlessingsPrayers For Opening, Healing, Blessing, Divination and Closing

The following are just a few examples of the prayers you can incorporate into your visualized meditations. As with any spiritual dogma, the recital of a prayer should feel comfortable to the speaker. It should be spoken with meaning and not just as a group of words that come before or after a spiritual event. Your intent is what gives a prayer power, so keep a positive outlook and a loving thought in your heart as you recite the prayer.

To some people how they address the prayer is the most important part of expressing their values and beliefs. Some prefer God, others Goddess, some use specific names of a Deity. Others like inclusive labels like Great Spirits, Divine Universe and so on. Choose what fits the Divine presence in your life. Continue reading

The Phases Of The Moon

The Black Moon by Springwolf © 2014

Tracking The Moon

About this time each year, I used to publish a Moon Phase Calendar. It helped me plan out rituals and observations for spiritual and magik work during every phase of the moon. With the advent of Cell phone technology, it’s much easier today for people to load up an app and set their own reminders. So I stopped creating the calendar.

I still get asked at almost every cycle of the Full Moon, why I no longer publish the calendar. I wrote about this in 2014 here on my blog: Moon Phase Calendar – Update.

f you’re like me and you like to plan ahead, I strongly suggest finding an app for this very task. Or you can visit the U.S. Naval Observatory’s Astronomical Applications Department and print off their yearly calendar.

In the 2014 article I write about the app I use and provided a link to it on GooglePlay. I’m afraid I still don’t know if it’s available on Apple devices.

A Meditation Guide

Go Within And Learn

A How To Handbook

As a student of metaphysics and magik, I have been fortunate to teach, as well as learn from others about the many methods and modalities of Meditation.

The following is a Student Guide I hand out in my own Meditation Classes. Included in this guide is a short introduction to meditation methods and the benefits of a meditation routine. As well as, a step-by-step instruction manual for anyone to follow and to learn meditation on their own.

What is Meditation?
Prayer allows you to talk to the Divine and petition for assistance or honor the Divine force in your life. Meditation allows you to become one with the Divine and discover the divine within your own inner being.

Meditation has been practiced around the world in every known religion, from Paganism, Buddhism to Christianity and beyond. Many people have meditated for spiritual communication, personal fulfillment, as a form of worship or spiritual practice, and even just to relax and relieve the stress of life. Continue reading

The Full Blood Moon

The Full Blood Moon

The Moon of the Autumn Equinox

The Harvest Moon is usually defined as the full moon closest to the autumn equinox. For us in the Northern Hemisphere, that usually occurs on or near September 22 each year. This year however, the nearest full moon to the equinox will occur this week on October  5, 2017.

Many people think this full moon gets its name from a reddish glow that may appear on the full moon. But that red color doesn’t happen with every Fall Full Moon. This effect is caused by the atmosphere of the earth. When sunlight is scattered by passing through Earth’s atmosphere, the other colors of the spectrum are removed. The moon will appear reddish when it’s nearer to the horizon, for the same reason a sunset or sunrise appears red. It’s all because of the Earth’s shadow.

A red moon is sometimes used to refer to four total lunar eclipses that happen in the space of two years, a phenomenon astronomers call a lunar tetrad. The eclipses in a tetrad occur six months apart with at least six Full Moons between them. So a red moon, isn’t a completely rare thing when an eclipse occurs.

A lot of Space or Astronomical journals have begun using the term “Blood Moon” to describe all these red moon occurrences. Unfortunately they didn’t do their research and made some significant assumptions about the phrase. It has nothing to do with the color of the moon at all. Continue reading

2017 Annual Motto

The Year Long Affirmation

Many years ago I stopped making New Years Resolutions. I was never able to stick to them and keep them going the year through. Not being able to keep up with such a lofty goal was frustrating. To say the least. And left me feeling defeated, not empowered.

I began seeing Resolutions as goals that set me up to Fail. What a negative and self-defeating concept. Setting yourself up to fail and feeling bad about not carrying through on the promise you made to yourself. How is this helpful? So I stopped making Resolutions and started making Mottoes that I could say when things got tough or when I needed a boost in my thinking!

My first motto was designed to do nothing more than get me through a day of frustration and anger. In 2001 I didn’t like my Boss, which meant I didn’t like my job either. But my Motto got me through those exceptionally rough days “I don’t care, I get paid.” And it worked. Pretty well actually. The group of people I managed at the time, took up my practice and new motto as well. Each time we hit a wall of frustration, someone would recite the motto and everyone would relax a little bit. Meditating With The Tarot

The Moon

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

The Tarot

They are called the messengers of the Divine. Some know them as the window to Universal Law and the sacred symbols of the higher consciousness. Whatever their auspicious synonym, the Tarot has been mentioned in ancient texts for 35,000 years. The Hermetic Kabbalah, tells of 108 stone tablets that lay beneath the ancient pyramids at Giza. 78 of these tablets are called the ‘Exoteric’ Tarot, the remaining 30 are the ‘Esoteric’ Tarot.

Even though there is evidence that the Tarot has existed for thousands of years, the first known decks come from 12th century India. They didn’t arrive in Europe until the time of the Crusades where they were often trophies of war held by European soldiers. It wasn’t long until the modern Europeans began creating their own versions of these religious decks, which were the forerunners to our modern playing cards.

It wasn’t until the 16th Century that the Tarot really began it’s invasion through the traveling Gypsy caravans and their use turned back to a spiritual perspective or as a tool for divination. Continue reading

An Update On Spring

October 3, 2016

We need your healing prayers.

Thank you for your healing prayers

We would like to send out a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has sent messages and prayers to Spring during her recent health battle.

“I’ve quickly learned why folks with brain injuries get so frustrated during their healing process. 2 steps forward and 4 steps back.” Spring said recently. She continues to work on the brain exercises that are designed to strengthen the brain while rebuilding new pathways where necessary. It’s along and hard process, but progress is being made.

We would like to extend a thank you to everyone for your patience during this ordeal. We are not able to provide a schedule for the Daily Tarot Meditation Drawing. But you can still follow Spring’s progress and thoughts, along with some inspirational shares on here Facebook page.

Your thoughts, prayers and healing energies are welcome and deeply appreciated.

Many Blessings,

Happy September Black Moon

It’s The 2ND New Moon of September

The Black Moon for September occurs at 7:28pm on September 30th, eastern U.S. time.

With every full moon, there’s also a New Moon which can also occur twice in a single month and that is also a rare event for Grandmother Moon. But she doesn’t seem to receive the same spectacular acknowledgement as her brighter sister the Blue Moon.

This month, September 2016; we will see two New Moons. The first occurred on September  1st and the second barely squeaks in on the 30th.

What’s her story and can you observe this special time of the year? Learn more about the Black Moon, her history, her energy, purpose and how you can mark the night of her arrival:  The Black Moon.

Arctic Wolf Fire

“Arctic Wolf Fire”

The Festivals of Fire and Light
Celebrations of August 1st or 2nd

These Sabbats (Pagan Holidays) are observed on August 1st or 2nd, depending on one’s personal Tradition (spiritual denomination). The early pagans were not blessed with NASA or the Naval Observatory, so their celebrations varied slightly from places to place and Tradition to Tradition. Over time these holidays began to find stability as official calendars become more commonplace throughout Indo-European countries.

Even though many parts of the world transitioned to Solar calendars, Pagans still celebrated their rituals on a Lunar cycle. Thus our holiday observances actually begin  at sunset on the evening before the scheduled day of the Sabbat. And that too can depend on where you are in the world. Continue reading
