Prayers For Opening, Healing, Blessing, Divination and Closing
The following are just a few examples of the prayers you can incorporate into your visualized meditations. As with any spiritual dogma, the recital of a prayer should feel comfortable to the speaker. It should be spoken with meaning and not just as a group of words that come before or after a spiritual event. Your intent is what gives a prayer power, so keep a positive outlook and a loving thought in your heart as you recite the prayer.
To some people how they address the prayer is the most important part of expressing their values and beliefs. Some prefer God, others Goddess, some use specific names of a Deity. Others like inclusive labels like Great Spirits, Divine Universe and so on. Choose what fits the Divine presence in your life. Continue reading →
. . . . I’m fond of the Fae and I talk to them all the time. I see them as mystical messengers of Nature and wise spirits that are favored by the GreatSpirits (my label for the Divine Universe).
Before I pull a card, I have a little prayer I like to say asking the GreatSpirits for help. This is important for any Tarot Reader, whither you’re giving someone a reading, or pulling a card for yourself. As you say your prayer, you should visualize yourself in a clear white light, being protected by the Divine force in your life. You want to set a shield of protection and call in your guides, “God/Goddess” or whatever you feel connected to, for their help and assistance to divine the best and highest message possible.
Everyone has the ability to feel subtle energies around them. I’m sure you can think of a time when you walked into a room where an argument had been happening, feeling the anger or angst. Maybe you’ve even shared a story with a friend saying “You could cut the tension with a knife”.
You don’t have to be psychic or overly sensitive to the energies around you for this type of event to happen. It’s part of our natural instincts as living animals. Human animals maybe, but we still have the ability to sense what’s around us.
In today’s world meditation is viewed from two perspectives, from the spiritual form of enlightenment and becoming one with spirit. Or through the eyes of mainstream medicine as a non-denominational practice that can relieve stress. If a non-denominational practice interests you, try the 5 Minute Meditation for bringing in a little relaxation and escape from the anxieties around you. Continue reading →
Many cultures believe that spirits of relatives walk with us and watch over us from the spirit world. Some put these spirits in Heaven, others place them on the Divine plane or the ethereal realm or a thousand other named places. Where they reside isn’t as important as to what they do and who they are. But one thing is for sure, when you need help and support; they are always there for you to connect and communicate with to get you through and guide your steps.
I’ve been asked about those who don’t believe in spiritual energy and what happens to their guides when they know they don’t listen or accept them. The simple answer is, nothing happens. Spiritual beings don’t hold onto human ego in the way we do. They don’t care if you believe in them or not. Continue reading →
Why Balance Your Energies You ever wake up in the morning and feel “out of it”, “not all there” or flighty? Or perhaps you notice in the middle of the day that you feel “heavy”, or “pulled down”. This could be from an unbalance in your energy field. There is some validity in the old adage “Too much of a good thing can still be bad for you”. It’s very true. Living to much in the spiritual mind and not being grounded isn’t any better than those who live in the physical world and never give their spiritual natures a second thought, or a first one for that matter. It’s an adage that tries to define living in extremes is not living in balance.
