Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Ten of Cups

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Share the gifts of spirit with those you care about. You don’t have to tell them the “name” of your beliefs, or what you believe to share the lessons you  have learned. But you might be able to explain what you’ve learned about yourself from looking within from the higher view of your soul.

Additional Insight:

Many people want to share what they’ve learned about life and overcoming their struggles to find peace. But they refrain from doing so because they believe their family, friends or co-workers will automatically label them as evil because their views may not be defined in the Christian Bible.

You don’t have to say “I’m pagan and we believe this or that”. You don’t have to say I follow a “Shamanistic path or a Metaphysical path and we look at life this way”. Don’t limit your lessons by a label someone else may not have ever heard of or understand.

You share your views on a variety of topics without giving it a label first, unless that topic is spiritual in nature. There we humans feel the need to say “I’m Pagan” or whatever the path you walk. And in doing so, we feel our perspectives are not heard, because the one we want to help gets caught up on the label we used. You don’t have to define your beliefs to share your spiritual perspective to help someone else see the lessons they are facing.

If you know someone who is struggling and might benefit from what you have learned, simply tell them about an article you read online once. It said, blah blah. Whither they believe what you say and take it to heart or not, it’s their choice. But I can guarantee you, what you tell them will seep into the back of their mind and stay there rattling around for a while. That’s simply the way our brains work. And who knows, maybe one day, they will allow that memory to stumble forward in their thoughts, and make an honest difference in their life for the better.

You can’t learn the lessons for the ones you love. But you can help them discover the tools that will help them view their lessons from a different perspective and perhaps, finally pass the tests that put those studies behind them. You’ll never know, until you try.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Ten of Wands

10 of Wands

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Listen to the waves of change and you’ll be able to ride the frequency that frees you from struggle.  Others are pulling your strings and trying to keep you from moving forward. Their fear of the future is a lesson they must over come. You can try to assist, but in the end, you can’t learn the lessons others have pulled into their life. It maybe hard to let them go, but you might have to do that, in order to change things for the better, for yourself.

Additional Insight:

Represent the essence of Enterprise & Inaction, Inspiration & Pessimism, Distinction & Disregard.

Simply put, listen to your inner voice and you’ll avoid struggle and hardship. You already know what needs to be done, yet you refuse to move forward and do it because of someone else?  Don’t let others hold you back from your own future. You can only help someone so much and you can’t save those who don’t want to be rescued. No matter how much you love them.

If they refuse to learn their lessons and make changes in their pattern of behavior there’s not much you can do. You can’t force them to change. You can’t learn their lessons for them. And sometimes, your lesson is to learn to let go of what you don’t control and move on.

You’ve been working hard to free yourself from the inaction and pessimism of the past. You’re at the point of making great strides through a break through of understanding. You finally see how your thoughts and actions (or in-action) has created your current struggles. Now that you have acquired this knowledge, what are you going to do with it?

It’s time to start walking your talk to put your experience into action. If that means leaving those behind who refuse to change, grow and move forward, then let them go for your own sake. Give them a chance to come with you. But if they refuse, don’t give up and dig yourself into a rut. Listen to your gut feelings, reach for your next goal and go for it. It’s up to you to free yourself from the burdens of the past. So get to it and stop making excuses!

Reflection Inspiration

You Reflect What You Feel

How you look at yourself will determine how others look at you. If you value your self-worth with respect and pride, then others will see you that way and hold you in greater esteem as well.

If you constantly find fault in your skin, your face, how your hair looks, how your voice sounds, what you look like when you walk, move or even sit still, then others will always find and see that fault in you as well. Mainly because being self-conscious about it, you will be drawing energy to it and that’s like a magnifying glass on everything you don’t like.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Seven of Pentacles – Inverted

7 of Pentacles: Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

On the seventh day you can rest. For now, you must keep your attention to the grindstone and get things done for your world. There are people depending on you and there are a lot of little things that need your input to be completed. Stop wasting time searching for the exact or perfect answer. Perfection doesn’t exist. Simply start doing the task and the right solution for you in this situation, will emerge and help resolve the strain weighing you down.

Additional Insight:

You’re allowing all the little things to pile up and diminish your confidence. Stop letting the stress win over your practical thinking. You’re only wasting time looking for something you’re not going to find in the first place. Be innovative and use your imagination.

Just get your hands in the dirt and start digging. Do the task at hand and you’ll be able to resolve doubts, and uncertainty as you go. Rely on the skill and abilities you already have, they will serve you well in the situations of the day. Your experience and intuition will do the rest. If you will simply trust yourself!

You don’t have to worry about “coloring within the lines” either. You’ve set standards on yourself that no one can meet. Just do the best you can and everything will come out exactly as it needs to, for both those around you and for your financial requirements.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: The Priest

The Priest

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Be careful what you put out to the world. Be true to yourself and guard how you wish to be known. Don’t wear your emotions on your sleeves. Leave a little mystery to be discovered. Intrigue comes from wondering what’s underneath something and taking time to discover what that may be. The journey often ends when the mystic has been revealed and there’s no more surprises. Always hold a little back, and the adventures will continue.

Additional Insight:

Classy is when a person has everything to flaunt, but chooses not to show it. Nor do they judge those who do. ~ unknown

Being an open book may sound like a good exercise, but it can leave you vulnerable. Others can see your weakness and take advantage of you. Some may see your kindness and think of you as weak and unreliable. Your enemies may see opportunity and try to destroy you. And those you care for may lose interest and long for intrigue and excitement.

“Always leave them begging for more” – Walt Disney
A book holds your interest as you first open its cover. Reading the story, meeting new people in your imagination as the words on the page come a live. As you come to the end and discover the conclusion of the story, you’re ready to close the book. Perhaps there will be a sequel, but it’s always questionable if the second story will be as good as the first.

Treat your life in the same manner and you will the interest of those around you. The excitement of new adventures, ideas, dreams and intrigue cannot be dismissed so easily as when someone let’s it all hang out there. Be cautious of the image you create today. Think long term and make sure you’re leaving a little to be discovered.

Reiki Practice & Perspective

Traditional Reiki Hanko

Traditional
Reiki Hanko

Traditional Reiki vs non-Traditional

Being a Reiki healer is a great practice of healing, but it’s not the only kind of Divine Holistic healing in the world. Asia doesn’t have the corner market on that kind of healing practice and to my knowledge, they’ve never claimed to be the one true Divine holistic healing method. There are many variations of Divine healing and each one has its own name, process and approach. Some don’t like being called Reiki because they believe it takes away from their own traditions and history. Understandable. When you have a tradition that you feel passionate about maintaining, what you call it has meaning.

By the same token, simply calling something “Reiki”, doesn’t make it Reiki. It is up to you as a student or someone looking for healing services to determine what is appropriate for you. But you should know a little about what you’re asking for so you know what is Reiki and what isn’t.

I’ve taken many forms of holistic, or what can be called Divine Energy, healing methods through my half century of living. So I have a small portfolio of healing modalities to compare each one against. For me, Reiki (traditional Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki) fits best with me and what I feel most connected to within my own soul. Continue reading

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Knight of Wands

Knight Of Wands

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Trust your gut feelings and nurture your intuition. You already think you should be suspicious, so why do you keep doubting your instincts. Don’t give too much away. Be watchful and vigilant. You will overcome the confusion which will allow you to see the whole picture and make the best choice for you. This is not the weekend to throw caution to the wind!

Additional Insight:

If you already feel uneasy about something going on around you, then don’t dismiss your gut feeling. Something isn’t right. It may not be clear what it is for a few more weeks, or perhaps even a couple of months. But managing your expectations is a good idea until you know for sure what’s going on behind the scenes.

It can be hard to tell the difference between allowing fear to create negative talk in your head and your real gut feeling that something is wrong. That’s where a daily meditation comes into help. At the very least, even a single weekly meditation can help you strengthen the bridge between your conscious and higher conscious minds.

In a state of meditation, you can examine your gut feelings and figure out which are your own doubts and which are your real gut instincts about something that simply doesn’t seem right. But if you’ve had this feeling for a few days and it won’t go away, it’s probably not your fears talking. So be watchful. Hold back on your interest and emotions. Don’t let your feelings runaway with you and you’ll be able to limit the damage. There’s a reason this is happening right now, but without having a clear mind and vision, you’re going to have a hard time seeing what that reason is.

If you don’t meditate and you’d like to learn how, check out our online meditation guide on Spring’s Haven. It’s free, simple and easy to try: Meditation Guide.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Ace of Cups – Inverted

Ace of Cups - Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Be a little goofy today. You’re letting the stress weighing you down too much and that’s not good for your body, mind or your spirit. Allow yourself to bring in some healing. Dance in the rain or go toss some snowballs around to let off some steam. Surround yourself with positive energy and let the fun run free.

Additional Insight:

Everything in life needs balance. Even paying attention and being focused on the negative actions around you, need to be balanced with positive exercises to re-energize you psyche.

It’s ok to be a little goofy and fun during the day. There’s a place and time for everything. A little laughter before a meeting can alter the flow of a stressful discussion. A bit of silliness afterward can put everyone at ease and allow them to focus on the task at hand, instead of what’s happening to their personal career or employment situation.

Holding in all that angst is part of the problem. The more anxiety, anger, fear or stress you hold within, only draws more of that same energy to you. Finding a way to release it and let it out is the best way to change out the negative and bring in the positive.

Whatever that thing is for you to let off steam and relax, plan some time for that today. Whither you sit down and have a cleansing cry, or punch a bag at the gym. Maybe you like writing, so pour your emotions into a letter to yourself. Remember to end the moment with a smile and self pep talk to bring you back to even keel. If you don’t do it, who else is going to do it for you?

laughterEven if you’re at home, you can find something to make you smile and feel a little lighter. Talk to yourself out loud, heckle the tv program you’re watching, or watch a funny movie. You can even find some funny video’s on YouTube to change your attitude.

Here’s one of my favorite that I use for this very thing! We watch videos of Late Night CBS Talk Show Host Craig Ferguson. .

If you like laughing, here are some of my favorites: We start with “Geoff Makes Craig Cry” in a good way. My son loves “Craig Cracks Himself Up“. And then there’s “The Chuck Norris Apology“. And a million more.

We truly love Craig and Geoff. He’s gotten us through many tough times, down times and sad times. Nothing seems so bad after you’ve had a good laugh.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: The Emperor –

The Emperor

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Don’t go looking for a fight where there isn’t one being raised. Hold onto what you have, but don’t assume all those  who cross your path is trying to take it from you. Not everyone is against you nor is everyone your enemy. A good leader knows when to protect their kingdom and when to open the doors and welcome friends. Be careful you’re not clouding your judgement through rumor and you’re allowing others to speak for themselves. You could be creating a foe out of a friend you might need or want later on.

Additional Insight:

There maybe someone around you claiming to be a friend, but who has underlying motives to destroy what you’ve gained. Not everyone around you is working against you. You have more supporters than you have enemies.

Be careful you’re not allowing your own insecurities to reflect back to you through the actions of someone else. Be confident in what you have achieved and allow your accomplishments to give you strength and overcome the negative self talk. Stop allowing your fears to speak in your head and keep you from doing something you want to do.

“Yes I might fail. But I will learn & achieve wisdom through the trying.” ~ Springwolf
Yes you might fail and your plan may not work out. That possibility shouldn’t keep you from trying. At the very least you’ll learn what doesn’t work and you’ll have more knowledge and understanding to try again and achieve the goal. No one who has ever achieved success, has gotten there by quitting before they got started.

You don’t need the approval of someone else to live your life. You don’t need to impress anyone but yourself. When you stop living for others and start living for yourself, you will find courage and success. Look in the mirror today and remind yourself you can do this. You’re smart, you have successes under your belt and each new venture is an opportunity to learn, improvise, adapt and overcome! You CAN do this!

A negative mind will never give you a positive life” ~ The Buddha
