Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Six of Pentacles

Six of Pentacles

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

When you share your gifts with others, they will share their abundance with you. You’ve said many times, what you put out – you receive back. But have you been sending out the best of intentions, positive energy, compassion and kindness? If you want these things in your life, you must give them freely to those around you.

Additional Insight:

The Divine Universe isn’t a chaotic place. It was created with natural laws to help keep balance in all things. These Universal Laws are in play with everything you do and think. And you know some of the important ones already. Your ultimate lesson here in this physical world is to live your life, make your choices and exist in balance with all things seen and unseen in your life and around your world.

Don’t merely give your beliefs lip service and expect others to live up to your standards when you’re not doing that yourself. You too need to apply them to your own life and actions. You can’t go around being angry and grumpy all the time and expect others to always bring happiness to you when they come around. Or be there for you when you need them.

Out of sight out of mind might keep negativity away from your world. But when you want those people to be part of your day, don’t be surprised if they don’t want to hear from you. Sometimes giving of yourself means allowing someone you care for to cry on your shoulder and vent their frustrations with condemnation or guilt for their plight. Don’t let someone complain and then dismiss their emotions as if they don’t have a right to feel them. Or invalidate their struggles simply because you can’t understand what they’re going through.

You get back, what you put out. You’ve said that about the actions of others who have wronged you. But how many times have you applied it to yourself? Sometimes the greatest gift you can give is free to you…your time, a listening ear, a strong shoulder. If you know someone who is struggling, helping them doesn’t necessarily mean giving them money or material things. Sometimes people who are facing hardship simply want to vent and get the frustrations out of their system for a little while.

When you share your gifts with others freely, be they talents, knowledge, your time, items of abundance or some other offering from self, you express your love and compassion to the world around you. Doing that allows the Divine Universe to bring that positive energy back to you and reward your efforts of kindness.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Justice

Justice

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Blind faith can deceive and hamper your journey. Make sure you investigate the facts before you make decisions based on one persons word. You may find they are being dishonest and trying to take advantage of your kindness. Rose colored glasses can help you look for the good in all people, but they shouldn’t stop you from seeing the tarnish that can eat away at your heart.

Additional Insight:

Justice requires honesty, so be honest with yourself. You know what’s really going on, even if you don’t want to admit it. You’ve seen the clues, you’ve noticed the inconsistent stories, your gut feelings have been digging into your side. Why aren’t you paying attention?

Trust is something that’s earned, not given without Justification. A title might cause you to pay attention to the words and actions of the title holder. But they are still human, like you and are accountable for their words and actions, like you.

Don’t let the desire to have something in your life cloud your judgement from the truth. Sometimes you can fool yourself into justifying your actions, even when you know it’s not good for you. Pay attention to the writing on the wall. You may not get another chance to change things before it’s too late and you’re too invested in this situation.

Whither this is a lie you’re telling yourself because you don’t want to do something, or if it’s someone trying to deceive you; you know what’s going on and ignoring it will not make it go away or get any better. The longer you wait the harder it will be to walk away.

Thinking positive or trying to believe in something or someone beyond your suspicions will only take you so far. At some point you must take control of your own destiny and make choices that are beneficial to you. You can’t learn lessons for others. And sometimes that means letting them go and moving on to something that’s better for you.

If you grow beyond your current situation, or the people you’re with, it’s ok to make changes and move on. The Divine Universe has a way of pushing us to where we need to be, even if we think it’s now where we want to be. Eventually we find out, it was a better place for us in the first place.

Don’t settle for the half-baked pie. Take a walk and find a new bakery that prides itself on offering the best. You deserve more, you’ve earned it and you’ve worked hard for it.

Why Pagan’s Don’t Celebrate St. Paddy’s Day

Tribal Wolf

The Tribal Wolf

The Genocide of St. Patrick

To begin this story let me start with a little Public Service Announcement (PSA). This year, 2014, I learned that the Irish do not care much for we Americans and Canadians calling their national holiday St. Patty’s Day. But probably isn’t what you think. Which is what I thought; it’s Patrick, not Patty. Nope that’s not it. Well not entirely.

I discovered a PSA had been posted in the Dublin Airport correcting a misconception for those of us in the Americas. It’s not Patty, it’s Paddy. Seems Patty is short for Patricia and of course, Patrick was a male priest. The proper shortening of the male variation is Paddy. And St. Paddy’s Day is perfectly acceptable. So now we know.

Now on to our tale of Pagans and Paddy. First,  we must start with some of the early inhabitants of Ireland. What little is known of these people come from Irish songs and poetry, oral legends and Roman writings. The Celtic lands of Ireland, Scotland and Wales were populated primarily by individual or regional Clans. Small communities that were close knit and survived on nature through farming and hunting. Making Plans

Today I came across a beautiful quote:
“A goal without a plan is just a wish”. Antoine de Saint-Exupery French writer.

How many Tarot drawings have we pulled in the past few years that emphasize making a plan for your dreams? As much as resisted joining Pinterest it has become a big part of my week. I don’t know how others like using it, but one thing I’ve discovered it allows me to do is plan!

When I was a kid my grandmother told me about a book she kept with clippings from magazines. Things she’d like to have, places she’d like to go and so on. She didn’t have that book anymore and didn’t remember where she lost it. But it seemed sad that she no longer had it to look at.

She inspired me to create my own book of dreams and I’ve made several of them over the years. Today they’re packed somewhere in some box some place here in the house or attic. When I started using Pinterest, I realized it’s a digital dream book. A place to gather ideas and make plans.

Sometime in the future when I can get the center into a physical space again, I plan on having various types of gatherings. Some formal, some educational and some simply for fun.

One of those fun ideas is Tuesday Tea Time at Two. A simple gathering for conversation and elegance. High Tea where we can dress up and feel pretty. Low Tea for those days when we want to relax. So here in this board on Pinterest are my inspirations… Tea, Coffee & Cakes

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Four of Pentacles – Inverted

Four of Pentacles - Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Please don’t fret, there’s abundance in your pocket. All you need to do is believe in yourself. With a little turn of the wheel you can create the bountiful harvest you seek. Don’t give up or take your eye off the work you’ve already done. It’s coming to fruition and it won’t arrive too late.

Additional Insight:

Think about all you’ve put into the work and plans you’ve toiled over the past year. Each time you thought you were going to fail, you buckled down and made it through the rising tide. You survived and you’ve moved to where you need to be.

Now that you’re so close to seeing that hard work succeed, don’t give in or give up. Believe in yourself and your abilities. Believe in the magik you’ve set free to manifest. Remind yourself that you CAN and you WILL do this!

You can, because you are One with the Divine Consciousness in your life. You DO attract and you WILL acquire more happiness and financial abundance than you know what to do with!

Let go of the negative feelings, thoughts and energy. Stop pulling the negative hardships toward you. Believe and you will attract that creative energy to you. Spin the wheel in the right direction, and walk forward to your brighter future.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Knight of Wands

Knight Of Wands

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

You’ve fought the war, now take some time to rest a bit. There’s no need to continue the fight when the only one you’re fighting is yourself. Let go of the anger, frustration and worry.  If you want the battles to be over, you must start acting like they are. You’re only attracting more of the same and prolonging a war that doesn’t need to be fought in the first place.

Additional Insight:

Trying to survive and endure is admirable, but sometimes it can prolong the war. Rest a bit today from the battles. Work on truly changing your focus from struggle and worry to release. “Let go and let God” (who ever that Divine source is for you). You’ve done your part.

At some point you simply have to let it go. Whither it’s something you were trying to keep, or something you’ve been fighting to move away from, there comes a time to let it go. If it was meant to be, all the work you’ve done will make it so. Now it’s time to release it and allow the Divine Universe to manifest the right energy for your path ahead.

So today when someone wants to drag you onto the battlefield, simply hold your tongue. Take a deep breath and release the anger. Don’t allow others to control your emotions and bait you into a fight. Walk away, say goodbye and hang up the phone. Do whatever you need to do, but don’t walk into another unnecessary skirmish.

Start changing your life in the here and now. Find contentment within, control your day the way YOU want it to go and let others control theirs by the way they choose. You don’t have to walk their path. You cannot learn their lessons for them. You cannot “make” them do what you demand or desire. So simply … let it go. And move on. Find your happiness again and smile.

A Pagan Welcome & Blessings To Pope Francis

Wolf Prayers & BlessingsThe 265th Successor of Saint Peter

Congratulations, welcome and many blessings to the newly elected Pope of the Catholic Church, Pope Francis.

I would like to extend my blessings and prayers to Pope Francis. May the GreatSpirits watch over him and his office, empower his compassion and fairness, infuse his tolerance for others with love and peace, and guide his decisions now and in the future with equity, charity, open-mindedness, and equality for all. And So It Is.

Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio, S.J., Archbishop of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Ordinary for Eastern-rite faithful in Argentina who lack an Ordinary of their own rite. He was born on 17 December 1936 in Buenos Aires. He was ordained for the Jesuits on 13 December 1969 during his theological studies at the Theological Faculty of San Miguel.

One of Pope’s Francis first remarks were for his predecessor, saying “First of all I would like to say a prayer pray for our Bishop Emeritus Benedict XVI. Let us all pray together for him, that the Lord will bless him and that our Lady will protect him.” Continue reading

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Five of Wands

Five of Wands

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Gifts from nature are coming your way. Be on the look out for an unexpected event. Something you’ve planned for, but didn’t expect is about to make its presence known. Be receptive and appreciative. Don’t let a bad mood reject the gesture or miss out on the opportunity. Wands tell us it’s a day of magik and creation! Make it a positive magikal creation in your world.

Additional Insight:

In order to attract happiness and abundance you must first be open to receiving it. That’s hard to do when you’re in a foul mood. When was the last time you cleansed your home, or yourself? Perhaps some early spring cleaning is needed.

It’s hard sometimes to see the blessings that come our way when we’re shrouded in doom and gloom. So buck up! Re-energize your mind/body/spirit today. It’s the last day of the New Moon and the last chance to use Grand Mother’s energy to clear away the negative and welcome in the positive. Create a new outlook and attract more of what you really want in your life.

Even the simple act of lighting a candle and saying a prayer can help more than you realize. Need some help? Ok, here’s a simple one I like to say:

GreatSpirits, creators of all that is. Please send to us this day the highest force or forces possible to clear away the negative from within our being, mind, body and spirit. Push out the stress, anxiety and frustration from our lives, out of our home and away from our property. Fill our day with love and compassion, laughter and smiles as we walk through the hours. Empower our spirit to shine brightly for a beacon of joy and happiness. And So It Is!

Now smile and get to it. Make this the best day of the week…until tomorrow, when you can make it even better than today!

And don’t forget the motto for the year!!
