Happy Full Moon Friday the 13th!

The Full MoonMay The Day Bring You Blessings

It is said that wishing on a Full Moon is very magikal. Like any grand parent, she wants to spoil her daughter’s children.  While Mother Earth is asleep, Grand Mother Moon listens to our prayers and wishes to make our dreams come true.

And it is said that Friday the 13th is a day that brings good luck for transition and change. Breaking down barriers and overcoming struggle, it’s a day to let your magik shine.

Use the day, and especially the time after sunset to bring about Good Luck and positive energy that promotes the success for the change and transition you want most in your life.

Everyone here at Springwolf Reflections and Spring’s Haven wish you and yours many blessings on this special day that only comes around once in a very rare occasion. Enjoy the day and night with this full moon blessing: Continue reading

Intriguing Experience In Talking To Ghosts

Ghost Radar® by Spud Pickles™ for Android

Ghost Radar® by Spud Pickles™ for Android

There’s An App For That

I’ve written about the Android App Ghost Radar here on my blog back in August 2012. I have a good time with this app. The company who makes this app put out a new version this past year that’s supposed to be bigger and better. This one that I’m using is called Ghost Radar Legacy. I haven’t had time to check out the new app, but if you’re interested in these kinds of tools; you might want to visit Ghost Radar Connect on GooglePlay.

Last night I was a guest on Mary Marshall’s ParanormalMD Radio Show and the topic of EMF (Electro Magnetic Field) and EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) tools came up concerning a recent investigation Mary had been on. That conversation inspired me to start up my little App this morning on the way to taking my son to school.

Now I can’t vouch for the accuracy of this app as I stated in the original App review. I’m not a Ghost Hunter or Paranormal Investigator. So this app is purely for my own amusement and interest. But sometimes your experience with such things are so interesting that you do build confidence in the validity of their usage, and that happened to me on this morning.

I was really intrigued by the conversations; I should say the attempted conversation presented by the app during this ride. I thought I’d share some of our interaction with what we heard and what it picked up as we were making our trip to the school. If for no other reason than to share a few moments of “Hmmmm”.

As an adept psychic, I talk to ghosts and spirits all the time. Listening to them takes some effort and it’s not something I do when I’m driving. It’s too much of a distraction. But I do ick up on the energy regardless and trust my instincts to interpret what I’m feeling. This is important to understanding how I use the app. It’s not a one on one conversation like you and I would have. It’s an opportunity to practice “feeling” energy and working on your psychic skills to interpret what you feel or pick up on.

Our Perspective / Interpretation
Land My car is broken this week, and I’m driving my Mom’s travel van. This thing is huge! Especially compared to my Mustang. When I started up the van, this was said and my first thought was “Land Yacht”; yep..this thing is huge. And that’s what we call it. So it seemed to fit.
Pretty As we were driving over the dam road, the ghosties shared this description. Yes it’s a beautiful morning and the view from the dam road looking west up the length of the 300 acre lake was definitely pretty.
Direction The entrance/exit of our subdivision is part of a ‘T’ intersection. When we stopped the ghosties said this and we took it to be a question. Which direction are we going? We let them know we were going to turn northward.
Spider On our way up the road, they shared this. Where?! I don’t like spiders inside “my domain”.  At first we didn’t find a spider.
Forth Within a moment of asking that question out loud, they answered us. My husband, Garrett, took this to mean in front of me (no idea why, but I trust his instincts). So we looked around the best we could while driving. There was a spider, but I didn’t see him until after we got to the school. And I quickly put him outside where he belonged!
Brick Along our drive we pass a small white brick house. To this point in our travel, all the houses and buildings are brick or wood. Except for the church which is way back at the T-intersection. This was said right as we passed that little white brick house.
Wolf A little farther down the road they shared this. My first reaction was “That’s me”.
Carefully Once at the school, we sat waiting for the doors to be unlocked for the kids to go in. The child likes having Dad walk him to the doors. As they were getting out, the ghosties shared this suggestion. Which is very fitting considering Garrett is fighting with a very sore toe that’s making it hard for him to walk normally. So yes, getting out carefully was required advice.
Store Earlier we had been talking about what we’re doing this afternoon when we go out to pick up the child from school. He wants to go into town to spend some of his birthday money. While my boys were in the school, the ghosties said this. And I reminded them, we weren’t going to the store until this afternoon.

I’m open to the idea that this app is nothing more than a random word generator and has no real evidence of ghost interaction. I have a healthy skepticism about paranormal events. I don’t automatically believe them to be real; and I don’t automatically believe them to be fake. The app on GooglePlay clearly states the app is for “Entertainment Purposes”.

But ..I’m also a believer in ghosts and spirits and communication with them. I’m a psychic, a channel, I know the experiences I’ve had talking to ghosts on my own without an EMF, EVP, ghost app or whatever. I’ve been doing it for 40+ years. So yes, I believe it’s possible because I’ve done it and I do it on a daily basis. But frankly it takes some effort to “turn on” the senses and talk/listen to spirit.

I have fun with this app because it doesn’t take a great deal of effort on my part to potentially talk to ghosts in this fashion. And when the words the app picks up relate so well to what’s going on around us or in our conversation, then…come on….there’s got to be something to this. It’s to freaky not too. Right?  😉

I thought it was interesting anyway. And so did Garrett; my skeptic atheist husband.

Our 1000th Post!

1000th

Thank you for helping us reach a great milestone!

Celebrating A Milestone!

Today’s Tarot Meditation Message was the 1000th post here on Springwolf Reflections! Woohoo!!

I never thought we’d reach that number in what seems like two short years. Maybe that sounds like a long time for some. But for me, it seems like the first post on February 1st, 2012 was only last week.

I do like that the 1000th post has come in May. This is a big month for me for a lot of reasons. So this milestone only adds to the marked events this month has brought to me through out my life. And maybe there’s some significance to being on the 16th, right in the middle of the month. Some what appropriate considering there are 31 days in May.

I’ve been blessed with so gifts from our little official author’s blog. From simple feedback to heart warming and touching notes and letters from so many of you about how this post or that comment has made a difference in your life. I’m honored when folks find my ramblings helpful or inspiring. I’m humbled by your efforts to make note, make the effort to like and or comment and definitely for your trust when you share personal insights about your own journeys.

I owe much of the success for Springwolf Reflections to you, the readers and visitors. If you didn’t come by and check things out, then I probably would have become discouraged and stopped babbling a long time ago. So thank you, one and all, for helping to make this little place on the web a success and for inspiring me to expand and grow it into the future.

HeartBleed Update

email-losteMail Is Back Up and Running

Yesterday I shared a technogeek notice about the internet wide security bug known as HeartBleed. “Catastrophic is the right word. On the scale of one to 10, this is an 11,” blogged Bruce Schneier an internationally renowned security technologist, called a “security guru” by The Economist. This was truly a serious issue.

This bug was part of the security protocol that is widely used by a large part of the internet community world-wide and it was a fairly serious issue. It affected you whither or not you realized it.

This afternoon I’m beginning to receive notifications from the several host providers I work with explaining there was an issue and they have patched the bug to close the security hole. Of course they said it with a lot more techno-gargen, but the point is, they fixed it on their servers. Continue reading

Internet Security Issues This Week

email-lostDoing Any Business/Transactions Online

You may have noticed your internet connection is slow today, or you’re having problems sending eMail this week. You’re not the only one. That’s because there’s a bug in a piece of software that is widely used by many companies across the board for internet connectivity. It’s called OpenSSL. And it’s important to understand how THIS AFFECTS YOU and why it’s so serious.

OpenSSL manages security behind the scenes for your secured connections. That’s social media, your own blog, even your email servers probably run on OpenSSL. It probably definitely affects your Bank Account, and potentially any secured transaction you use online. Financial, personal, medical and everything in between.

It will also impact the same transactions and connections you may use from your smart phone. So don’t think you can go from your PC to simply do what you need to do on your phone. You can’t get around this, unfortunately. Continue reading

Update For Today’s Tarot Message

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Ooops Something Went Wrong

Today when i posted the Daily Tarot Meditation Insight message, we lost our wi-fi connection. What was initially posted was a shortened/corrupted version of today’s message. It took a few minutes to get back online and fix that post. So if you received an email with today’s card and message, it may not be the final version.

You can see the final version here -> 04/02/2014 Tarot Meditation Drawing: The Tower – Inverted

Merry Solstice 2014

springtimeOde To Spring ~

The great Sun rises with the glow of fire,
as seeds are stuck in the muck and mire.
But spring is here on this solstice day,
and warmth returns to our rocky way.

With thunder and rain, the seeds break free.
They push through the Earth for all to see.
Bursting with colors so brilliant and bright,
they glimmer and glow in morning dew light.

And where be you on this luscious morn,
tied up in bed till the spring is be born?
Get up, come sing and dance with me.
Howl with the wolf and flutter with the bee!

It’s Springtime now and the north must wake.
The snows subside and the ice will break.
It’s a day to feast, to laugh and to sing!
For all the bright blessings, we give thanks to Spring!

The First 2014 Equinox – March 20th

A Day Of Balance To Honor The Light and Darkness

A Day Of Balance To Honor The Light and Darkness

Merry Ostara and Mabon

Despite the snow outside our window here in the eastern U.S., this weeks sees the return of astronomical spring. Down south however, our friends in the Southern Hemisphere are welcoming the end of Summer and beginning of Fall.

We extend our most joyous wishes

Holiday Celebration!

Are you new to Equinox celebrations?
An equinox occurs twice a year (around 20 March and 22 September), when the plane of Earth’s equator passes the center of the Sun. At this time the tilt of the Earth’s axis is inclined neither away from nor towards the Sun. The term equinox can also be used in a broader sense, meaning the date when such a passage happens. The name “equinox” is derived from the Latin aequus (equal) and nox (night), because around the equinox, night and day are about equal length. ~ Wikipedia.com – Equinox. Continue reading

Celebrations of the Green Isle

Blessings Of The GreenA Day To Be Proud Of The Green

It’s St. Paddy’s Day here in the U.S. which is much more of a celebration of the Irish and the Green Isle than it is a day to honor a Catholic Saint. And that’s probably a good thing for Celtic Pagans. It allows us to connect with our heritage, honor the old country, the mystical ways of the past through song and celebration. Raise a glass or two of Irish Whiskey or Green Beer and in general have a good time.

But Pagan’s have good reason for not celebrating “St. Patrick’s Day” itself. I wrote about that last year, so feel free to run on over there and check out Why Pagan’s Don’t Celebrate St. Paddy’s Day.

For me today is an Irish Pride Day. A time to bring a bit of the mysticism and folklore of the old days back into thoughts and imaginations of the here and now. Who doesn’t need a little distraction from the stress and grind of the modern world?

So to honor this day of pride and connection, I offer this simple tale of magik and adventure. And I wish you all a very Magikal and Mystical Day of the Green as well.

The Fairy Folk Continue reading
