Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing – Five of Cups

5 of Cups

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

You already have what you’re crying over, so why are you crying over what you have right in your lap? There’s no need to search, no need to alter who you are, no need to feel lost. Open your eyes and take another look at what you already have in your life. You might finally realize you had it all along and simply weren’t seeing the whole forest for the trees blocking your view.

Additional Insight:

Don’t let your emotions get the best of you and keep you from seeing that you already have the thing you want most today. You’re trying to create a perfect situation out of an imperfect world. Nothing in life is perfect. Everyone makes sacrifices and faces challenges. It’s how you face those issues that allow you to see the blessings that bring the real joy from life. So snap out of it. You have a lot more going for you than against you!

Living A Life Of Confidence Or Insecurity

Passionate Debate Or Heated ArgumentHeated Debate

I recently had a conversation with a group of people who became very..um..passionate in their discussion about beliefs. While some defined the discussion as a passionate debate, others more emotional,  defined it as a heated argument. But what caused the difference of opinion and view of the discussion might be saying something about how we view ourselves as individuals. Are we confident about our position in the debate, or insecure?

Debate is a good thing most of the time. It’s an exchange of ideas, a challenge to linear thinking that may cause opposing sides to expand their views. It may even alter a long held perspective, directing it down different avenues of thought that never occurred to an individual before.

I’ve noticed, however, that many times, informal discussions evolve into passionate debates that eventually break down into heated arguments that leave one or both sides of the conversation with hurt feelings, angry emotions and sometimes long standing feuds between individuals.

And this is especially true if the discussions are about one of the three taboo subjects that you don’t discuss with family or at the dinner table: religion, politics or money! Continue reading

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Seven of Swords

7 of Swords

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Keep your head down and nurture the blossoms in your garden. Sometimes you must ignore the pain from the little hurts in order to grow the solutions to the underlying issues. Choose your decorations carefully. Make sure what you select around your garden supports its growth and doesn’t impede its progress.

Additional Insight:

Learn to live with the pain and stop using it as an excuse to not move or not get things done. Trying to self medicate it away will only make things worse in the long run too. Trying to pretend it’s not there can cause things to get worse. You must face the issues that are in the way, but they cannot stop you from working on the solutions that reside beneath the surface either.

Today focus what you can do not only for the short term, but the long term resolutions as well. If that means making a doctor appointment, getting your emotions under control, stop complaining about everything that’s wrong and focus on what is right, then do it. Whatever it is, stop wallowing in the self pity and get fixing the problem!

Even though you feel like you’ve been drowning, you’re really come out on your own. Treading water has made you stronger, more capable of handing hardships and challenges. Use that new found strength to blossom into the person you desire to be. You can do this! But YOU have to want to do it.

Additional Insight:

Whether you want to quit smoking, lose weight, become more spiritual or whatever change you want in your life; today is the day to start tackling that issue. You have come through the challenges life has thrown at you and not it’s time to turn your focus on to you and what you want. Look inward. Examine what you have before and decide which one thing to take on first. You really can do this. But really have to be ready to do it.  So if you want things to change, then stop complaining about it and change them!

Answering eMail From Visitors

Thought For The Day

Get Your Tin Foil Hat

Gortairian Visitors

When someone comes to you and says they’re from the Planet Gortair and they’re excited to visit your planet. Don’t argue with them. Simply respond: Greetings and welcome to Earth. As a duly appointed representative from our planet, I would like to invite you to a tour of one of our finer medical facilities.” It beats wrestling them to the ground. – (thanks to Night Court for that approach).

Answering eMail From Visitors
Anyone who has a blog or website that provides a method for receiving communication is opening a door to some wonderful exchanges of ideas and thoughts. But sometimes, the communications aren’t so kind or in some cases are totally off the wall.

One thing that happens when you run a business or educational website is that you get a lot of emails from people who simply aren’t all there. I’m sure it happens to all types of businesses or educational websites. But I know for sure it happens to sites with a spiritual context. I’ve been building websites since the early days of the internet when only a handful of corporations had a web presence. I was fortunate to work at a corporation that was interested in innovation. Being in IT Research and Development in that corporate career, when this web thing came across my desk I jumped at it. Continue reading

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: The Priestess

The Priestess

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Look into your crystal ball today and you will find the answer to your questions. You have the knowledge and insight within you. Stop second guessing what you know is the right choice and trust yourself. If you need more input, don’t look to others; go within and connect to YOUR higher conscious connection to the Divine in your life.

Additional Insight:

Others don’t have your best interest to heart, so be cautious who you confide in and who you take advice from. Instead, trust your own judgement today and look within for the answers. Pull your own tarot card or look in your own crystal ball and trust your instincts to point you in the right direction. After all, who knows you better than you?

What Is A Spiritual Expert – Part VI

Intuitive Psychic

The IntuitivePsychic: (greek psychiokos – psyche, soul or that which is mental) to sense, to understand and to interpret for practical purposes, a force that enters in and emanates out of the body, mind and/or spiritual or ethereal realms without use of the 5 physical senses.

Everyone is psychic to some degree. Most people just don’t realize it or they call it by some other name or phrase. It’s easy for someone to say “I have a gut feeling about this”, instead of admitting to themselves that they are listening to one of their senses, or their psychic insights. But every living animal, including humans, have that 6th sense.

“Being” psychic is just a matter of becoming in-tune with that extra sense which can come in various forms. As children we had to learn and understand our other senses for sight, smell, hearing, taste and touch. We learned about them as a baby and the more we experienced in life, the more we are able to utilize those senses in our daily life.

Psychic senses are exactly the same. They aren’t a special gift, nor do they make one person more special or powerful than the next. We all have these abilities and we all can learn how to develop them and how to use them. Continue reading

As Above, So Below

The Importance Of Balance

The phrase has come to mean various things to different people, societies and religions. It has evolved on some stages and remained the same on others. But to understand the original concept of As Above, So Below, we need to know where it came from and how it was first used.

Who created the idea and why? How did they implement it and what did it stand for? These questions can help us understand the journey of the concept and perhaps even regain the importance behind the words and how they should still be applied to our lives today.

The History Of Above and Below
In the Pagan and Metaphysical communities, these words are often used and bandied about to show relation between spirit and physical realms. They are reported to have originated from the “Emerald Tablet of Hermes Trismegistus”, also know as the tablet of “The Secret of Hermes”. But this is a downsized version of the tablet’s verse. The original phrase stated “That which is Below corresponds to that which is Above, and that which is Above, corresponds to that which is Below, to accomplish the miracles of the One Thing”

According to Wikipedia there are several translations of this text, including Arabic, Latin, and even one from Isaac Newton. “The compact and cryptic text was highly regarded by European alchemists as the foundation of their art, in particular of its Hermetic tradition. Interpreting the layers of meanings of the Emerald Tablet, from individual words to the overall meaning, is fraught with possibilities, but certainly Alchemy’s Magnum opus and the ancient, classical, element system are the basis of any sound explanation, as they provide a key to the ideas of earth, fire, sun, moon, etc., common to all the translations.” This elemental approach strives to show the balance in all things or the circles of existence.

Over the centuries, many Occult organizations have put their own spin on “As above, so below”. But it’s not only in these realms of mysticism that the phrase can be found. It’s been accepted into almost every known religion today and is often associated with that religion’s history. All three non-pagan religions have laid claim to the phrase and put their own spin on its meaning as well. New Age and modern Metaphysics also have their claims on the concept and have given it their own interpretations. Continue reading

And now you can hold your trophy high and reap the greatest rewards. Shower yourself with celebration. You certainly deserve it!

It isn’t magik or Divine intervention alone that brings success. It’s putting your visions and inspiration into practice. Working hard, staying focused and working WITH Divine Creation that brings your success. Relying too much on your spiritual energy to manifest your desires, may not make it happen. Relying too much on the physical activities and events, may take longer than intended, or fall short of your goals. But when you align your energies, As Above – So Below, you bring forth the perfect balance of spirit and body to bring things into reality. Give yourself a pat on the back for working hard and attaining your goal. It might be a small part of the bigger picture. But it’s a good part none the less!

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: The Moon – Inverted

The Moon - Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

You’ll find a strong arm to hold onto and that will help you stand up today. While you’re feeling tattered and torn from a recent cat fight, you’re the one who will come up from the pit and find the support to win the battle. This has been an ongoing fight, it’s understandable that you’re getting tired of it. Use the Grand Mother Moon’s full moon energy to reconnect with the spirit within and you’ll have not only the strength to recover, but the wisdom to put this fight to rest.

Additional Insight:

It can be very tiresome when you have to constantly stand your ground and defend your position from someone else who wants to fight. You didn’t start this battle, but the cat fights are wearing on you. You have overcome a lot because of these situations. You’ve learned a lot about yourself, who you can trust, how to defend your position without compromising your principles. But all the negativity is draining your energy. Take time to reconnect with the Divine force in you and allow Grand Mother moon to replenish the energy you have expended and lost. Go to bed early tonight! Bask in her soft full moon light. You’ll feel much better tomorrow.
