Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Temperance – Inverted

Temperance: Inverted

Don’t lose your temper today over things you have no control over. You can’t ‘make’ others do what you want or need. They must want to do it for themselves. Winning friends and influencing people doesn’t happen when you’re getting mad, yelling or quietly seething with anger. All this does is create more of the same negative destructive energy. Keep calm today and stay focused on the bigger picture of success and abundance. Don’t give up hope and it won’t give up on you!!

Additional Insight:

This week may seem as though everything is going against you. You can choose to feel as though you’re being kicked while you’re already down. Or you can get up and stand up against the oppressive energy that’s being created around you.

You don’t have to see the world as win or lose, for you or against you. It’s not going to happen on its own. You must take physical steps to bringing your dream and needs into reality. You can do this! Don’t give up and fall on your knees where others kick you while you’re down.

You can view the world in the manner you want it to be, as if it’s already here. Put your positive visions into action and help the Divine Creative energy work for you, instead of against you.

If you’re looking for that special person in your life, clear out half of your closet and make room for them in your world. If you’re looking for work, get up in the morning and get ready to go out the door to work, even if that work is in your kitchen (for now). If you’re looking for help, do a search for organizations that can provide the help you need. Put your positive thoughts into action and feed the good energy to manifest what you need!

“What we think we become” ~ Buddha

Believe In Yourself

Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become your character.
And watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.
What we think, we become.
                                                     ~ Frank Outlaw

How we think each morning starts the process of creation. Thought is energy that we put into motion on the ethereal plane. It moves around us, through us and walks the path we walk until it manifests in physical form. Once in physical form, the event created by our thought will generate a reaction from us. Again, creating a thought that creates a pattern of energy that we put into motion.

It’s a cycle of energy that we establish around ourselves each moment of our lives. In other words, this is the Law of Accountability in action. What you put out, you get back. The Law of Accountability governs how you live your life and conduct yourself through out your life.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Ten of Wands

10 of Wands

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Don’t tie your emotions to the stake to leave your heart and mind open to attack. Your worth is not based on the opinion of others, it’s based on the confidence and love of self. You know you’re worth knowing and loving. So love yourself and be who you are freely and with joy. When you like you, others will too.

Additional Insight:

When you continually look outside yourself for validation, you set yourself up for emotional hurts and disappointments. If you don’t want your ego bruised, don’t bring it into the room. Allow others to hold their opinions, but don’t hold their opinions to a higher standard than your own.

You are the perfect reflection of the Divine creative force in your life. You are exactly where you need to be at this time in your life. Take time to look within yourself to discern the lessons that are laying before you and you will be able to tackle those, learn what needs to be learned and move on.

Today the lesson is “love the self and be joyful in who you are and what you are trying to accomplish in your own life”. You can do this, and you don’t need the approval of anyone else to make it happen!

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: The Sun

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Allow your compassion and nurturing to shine through your actions. Success comes when you give of yourself in support of others. Be a team player and work for the greater good of all; not the selfish indulgence of ego and self. Winning at any cost brings only momentary satisfaction. Those who work in harmony with the world around them in peace and with love receive the greatest rewards. Many of which are beyond measure.

Additional Insight:

No one is an island working completely alone. There is always someone there to help and open a door to opportunities. When you remember you’re part of a bigger world, or even just a bigger group you can begin to unite the Divine creative energies of all for the success of the common good.

Coming together brings with it the strength in numbers, the empowerment of inspiration and creation of ideas and solutions. But it also brings a sense of united compassion, caring, tolerance, acceptance and yes, even love. Working together can also bring a sense of confidence in self, a satisfaction of accomplishment and an inner knowledge that success can be acquired again. Let the snowball of success fill your life for today, this week, this month and this year.

Sympathies and Prayers for Oak Creek, Wisconsin

The Alpha's

The Gift of Compassion

Everyone at Spring’s Haven wish to express our deepest sympathies, prayers and thoughts for the family, friends and community of the Sikh Temple in Oak Creek, Wisconsin.

This world is large enough to accommodate all beliefs and to share our knowledge, wisdom and understanding in peace. We can allow others to believe as they choose without threatening our own spiritual path or compromising our own enlightenment.

Hate and intolerance have no place in our society or our country! This senseless violence harms everyone not only here in the U.S., but all souls around the world. By remaining silent when crimes of hate occur, one condones the act. By standing up and denouncing the hate out of tolerance and expressing compassion for the victimized we elevate the standards of morality and eliminate the screams of arrogance and overbearing dictatorship either formal or informal.

As my friend Rev. John E. Lewis Jr. said today:
Undermining the religious, political, moral or philosophical views of others in favor of elevating the religious, political, moral or philosophical views of self is arrogant, pathologically absurd and ultimately self-defeating. These dangerous tactics are on the increase by certain individuals and groups who actually believe they will convince others of their conceived supreme position. It may appear to be effective in the short-run, but in the long-run it will fail miserably, and in the process demean the common decency and civility of collective society. Never can any individual or group ultimately succeed by discrediting others in favor of self.

Our our hearts and prayers go out to everyone affected.

In the past 6 months we have received an increase in requests from people asking for Skype or iPad face to face communications. Some of these people are shut ins, some simply can’t afford to travel to our location. I’d love to do this! But I’m limited by technology and financing.

We have even received requests from some military personnel stationed overseas who simply want someone to talk to and who holds the same spiritual beliefs as they do. These men and women are fighting for our freedoms, and they didn’t ask you what you believe in before they joined up and put their lives in harms way for you.

We’re looking to fill these requests through Skype and iPad Face to Face communication services. But we need your help to make this a reality! Will you give a little to help a lot?

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Seven of Pentacles – Inverted

7 of Pentacles: Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Watch your finances today. Don’t spend more than you have and on things you don’t need. While you’re not the only one suffering right now, you can make things worse by going over budget or having no budget at all. “Things” don’t bring happiness. But financial accountability can bring security and peace for a worried mind. Plan your finances for the next week carefully. Don’t give it all away! What energy you set up today will carry through the next several years!

Additional Insight:

Today’s message carries through the weekend and underlies the energy of next week. So be cautious about your finances!

It’s ok to try to help others in need, but when you do so at the expense of yourself or your family, you’re not doing anyone any favors. You can’t give it all away and hope that when you have a need that others will be there for you. Sadly not everyone is as compassionate and generous as you.

Be careful who you talk to and who you share information with. Some that you may have thought were friends that you could trust, may selfishly try to take advantage of you out of greed. Don’t let them disappoint you by holding them up to your expectations. Many won’t meet the mark. But remember that sometimes it’s ok to be selfish (when you’re quiet about it), and when you’re faced with self preservation! If you don’t speak your mind today, if you don’t runaway and hide your worries in the purchase of ‘things’, you’ll be ok in the long run. This is a time to be patient and plan for the marathon, not the sprint.

Morning Work – Setting A Positive Flow

What’s On Your Desk?

Each morning I get a cup of coffee and settle in for my morning work. That starts with centering and trying to wake up a little. Though sometimes being half asleep actually helps when pulling the Daily Tarot Meditation card. This morning I was thinking about what’s on my little work desk. I like my desk. It makes me feel empowered at the start of the day, connected to the Divine Consciousness and the Faeries I talk to throughout the day, and I think it’s simply lovely covered in my favorite things. When your desk provides a connection to the Divine creative energy within your higher consciousness, it becomes easier to face challenges, solve problems or if you’re like me, it can inspire you to write a Reflection for your blog.  😉

If your desk holds things you don’t like or that you dread to look at and deal with, you’re setting that energy up for the entire day. That in turn will impact everything you have to deal with through out your day. Whither it’s on your desk or not. Continue reading

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Seven of Cups

7 of Cups

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

When you sit in the seat of love and compassion, the world around is filled with brightness and abundance. You can clearly see the events of the past, present and future. And understand why the occurred, what they are trying to teach you and how they will manifest with the present patterns in place. If you don’t like those outcomes, now is the time to change them. The dreams you planted in July are already manifesting in the spiritual winds. Take time to think things through, ensure your visions contain what you really need and take time to alter your plans for those details that may not fit your dream. Be careful what you ask for, you might get it.

You cannot change others, all you can do is change yourself. If there’s something in your life you don’t like; it’s up to you to alter how you face that issue. Whither it’s something about yourself, or an issue you face; when you change the pattern of energy, you can change the thing causing stress and strife. In doing this, you change the pattern not only in your life, but in how others react to you as well.

If your dreams rely on how others deal with you, then you must change those patterns you have control over. The ones within yourself. Make sure you have thought things through and created alternative plans in case others do no react the way you hope they will. Rose colored glasses are great when used to change your view of the negativity around you. But they can be dangerous when you refuse to look at the negative patterns you yourself feed energy into.

Be careful what you wish for, be careful how you plan your dreams. Make sure you work out the details and are open to alternatives if things need to be tweaked along the way. Don’t feel as though you must compromise everything, or settle for something less. But don’t be so set in stone that you can not go with the flow of Divine energy as it tries to help you manifest your desires in the best possible pattern of energy for you in this time and space.

History Of Lughnasadh

The Fire Festival Of The Summer Sun
By Springwolf, D.D., Ph.D.  🐾

This is the first of the Pagan Harvest Festivals. This is a time where we celebrate the Sun God Lugh, honor the rain and thank the magikal folk of the Tuatha Dé Danann for their help in our own gardens.

As local clans migrated, they took with them their religious and spiritual traditions. Many people believe that during these migrations, names of holidays also changed and Lughnasadh became Lammas. That’s not quite accurate however.

Lammas comes from the Old English word hlafmæsse, which  literally means “loaf mass,”. It was first used in the 15th and 17th centuries by the early Catholic Churches to celebrate the grain provided by the first harvest. In other words, it was another attempt by the early church to co-opt a pagan holiday, make it their own, in order to convert pagans.

Many Anglo-Saxon pagan clans, adopted the name, but still observed the original celebrations of Lugh and the original intent of the holiday. Must pagan purests prefer to ignore the Christianized version of the festival and stick with the early Celtic name of Lughnasadh. As with most things in the world of spirituality, your preferred name should ring true with you. It’s your festival to honor the Sun, the warmth of the summer and their blessings upon the fields. Call it what you feel most connected to, Lughnasadh or Lammas.
