Please Have A Feel Good Day

Have A Nice DayI think we all need a pick me up.

Ignore the haters.
Walk away from the fakers.
Close the door on the takers.
Change the channel on the instigators.

Choose to have a nice day!
It will piss them all off.

Many years ago when I was a student of my favorite teacher, a Shaman named Roger, I was having an unusually bad day.

He asked me why I was allowing the hate and jealousy of others control my emotions and my day? To be honest I didn’t know what to reply to that question. They made me mad, they hurt my feelings. He said “No they didn’t. You decided all on your own to listen to their words and you made the choice how you were going to feel. They didn’t make you feel that way, you allowed them to dial in a particular emotion and hit the ‘go’ button”. Continue reading

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Eight of Pentacles

Eight of Pentacles

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Don’t let financial challenges hang over your head. Stay in budget and act responsibly with your spending. The GreatSpirits (or whatever you call the Divine in your life) will provide what you need. So let go and trust that you’re being cared for. Worry will only make things worse.

Additional Insight:

Watch out for those little expenditures, they really add up quickly. Time to think about changing plans and looking for better deals in everything from your phone service to your retirement plans. It doesn’t take much to look at a bill and review all those “extra” fees. Question your provider and ask what the fees are really for. If you feel like you’re getting the run around, cancel the service. It won’t take long to find a better and less expensive one.

Remember you’re an adult now, and you’re responsible for your own free will and choices. Don’t let others freely take from you what you’ve worked so hard to obtain. There’s nothing worse than getting paid and only having $6 left from your paycheck because everyone else is cutting out a piece of you. Continue reading

The Ænigma Project – Pareidolia

The Ænigma Project – Mondays 8 PM EST

Tonight during our show we discussed Pareidolia.
Pareidolia is the imagined perception of a pattern or meaning where it does not actually exist, as in considering the moon to have human features.

Here’s an example:
It’s amazing to me that people “don’t” see the dog. So I’ll help you out.
– First you have to click the photo and make it bigger.
– Then look at the red building to the left. Focus on the roof line on the right side of the building. See the chimney?
– Now look to the right of that in the area that looks like sand and you’ll see a tail, body and shepherd head.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Temperance – Inverted

Temperance: Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

You could be swimming in success today, but only if you approach the day with the concept of moderation. Have patience, work toward being balanced and tolerant of others throughout the day. And please limit your consumption of food and especially drink! Remember too much of anything (good, bad or indifferent) isn’t good for you.

Additional Insight:

Be careful if you go out with your team from work. Don’t eat too much, don’t drink too much. And don’t stay away from the office for too long. The consequences could impact the rest of your week.

Everything in moderation will keep you in the good graces of those you want to impress. And if someone you’re friends with starts to get out of hand, try to take them aside and show some compassion to help them out. They may have things going on that no one else knows about. Instead of chastising them for their behavior, give them some kindness and see if there’s something going on that you can help with. Continue reading

Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Precepts

Reiki is a Japanese word translated as “Universal Life Energy” by Hawayo Takata.
She brought the possibility of a relationship with this energy to us through Usui Shiki Ryoho, a healing system founded by Mikao Usui in the early part of the 1900’s. In 1973 Hawayo Takata, a Hawaiian woman of Japanese decent, was the only Reiki Master of the Usui Shiki Ryoho system in the world and was considered to be its Grand Master. She was also the first person to bring Usui Reiki to the United States after becoming a Master in 1938, teaching the system at the University of Hawaii.

Takata trained 21 Reiki Masters before her death in 1980. One of those Masters was Rev. Beth Gray, who was my first Reiki teacher for Reiki I and II. I have been a practicing Reiki Healer since 1989. I became a Reiki Master Channel in 1996.

Because of the evolution of Reiki around the world, some good and some not so good, the Principles given to all Reiki students has evolved and changed over time. Some call the Principles a Motto. A Motto is a short sentence or phrase chosen as encapsulating the beliefs or ideals guiding an individual. Where as a Principle is a fundamental truth or proposition that serves as the foundation for a system of belief or behavior or for a chain of reasoning. For the traditional Usui Reiki Channel, the Principles are a guiding force in our every day life, it is a fundamental truth within the Reiki healing system. So I’m not real fond of calling the Principles, a “motto”. Continue reading

Thoughts and Prayers For Orlando

We need your healing prayers.

Our Thoughts & Prayers

We have shared our deepest sympathies too many times on days like today where our news is blanketed with terror, sadness, intolerance and hate.  Whatever the reason a young man had for resulting to mass murder, his actions and hate will never be justified and should never be tolerated.

At some point America needs to learn that these hate crimes are terrorism born here at home. An entire community around the U.S. has been threatened and targeted too many times, simply because of who they have chosen to love.

Love is the life force that allows all humans to survive throughout their life. It raises everyone up with compassion, caring and, well love. There is no greater gift we can give to the world around us than to love one another.

Everyone here at Springwolf Reflections and Spring’s Haven extend our thoughts and prayers to the victims, their families and friends. Along with everyone in the LGBT community who are crying and constantly looking over their shoulders. That’s no way someone should have to live. And it is the result of all terrorist acts. Planning and Preparation For The Solstice

Fairy Moon Dance by Julie Fain (Juliefainart.com)

Create A Happy Solstice Celebration

Here in the Northern Hemisphere, we celebrate the Summer Solstice on June 21st or 22nd. The Summer Solstice rings in the waning year and begins the slow good-bye of the sun as the days become shorter and the darkness returns to the land.

Many have started planning for their celebration and gatherings. If you’re preparing your list and getting ready with your shopping, you might want to incorporate one of my most favorite rituals for this holiday. Because the Summer Solstice is also the Time for Faeries. And I love to include a ritual we call Walnuts For Wishes: A Recipe and Ritual for the Fae.

This ritual requires a few items you may not have laying around your home or in your ritual cabinet. So if you want to add a few things to your list for your own implementation or a variation of this ritual, now might be a good time to start planning it.

You can learn more about the Summer Solstice through these articles here on Reflections:

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: The Devil – Inverted

The Devil - Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

You can’t settle down and establish a good root system when you’re ignoring the details. Listen to your gut feelings, they’re trying to keep you out of harms way. Don’t settle for less than you deserve and don’t let your judgement become clouded by the negativity of others. Sometimes no news is good news. So don’t go looking for trouble. Especially when there’s none to be found. You could start something you can’t or don’t want to finish.

Additional Insight:

Be patient and allow the light to shine on your day to heal the old wounds. What’s hidden doesn’t always mean something is on its way to bite you in the behind. It could be hidden because it’s not ready to manifest into the present moment. You may not be ready right now for what’s coming. So let it go with the flow and listen to your intuition and higher consciousness. You are being guided by spirit to the next chapter of your life. Trust that Divine energy knows what’s best for you and relax.

The Tarot

Wizards Tarot by John J. Blumen - The High Priestess

Wizards Tarot by John J. Blumen

The Messengers Of The Divine

They are called the messengers of the Divine, the window to Universal Law and the sacred symbols of the higher consciousness. Whatever their auspicious synonym, the Tarot has been mentioned in ancient texts for 35,000 years. One such text, from the Hermetic Kaballah, tells of 108 stone tablets that lay beneath the ancient pyramids at Giza. 78 of these tablets are called the Exoteric Tarot, the remaining 30 are the ‘ Esoteric Tarot. This legend goes on to say, that one day these tablets will be uncovered and will explain the Universal Law and the soul’s path through the cycle of rebirth.

In 1909, Arthur Edward Waite encouraged Pamela Colman Smith to produce a tarot deck with appeal to the world of art that would have significance behind the symbols, and thus make the deck more important than tarot packs previously used for centuries. The result was the unique Rider-Waite Tarot deck, initially published in 1910. It has endured as the world’s most popular 78-card tarot deck.

The innovative cards, including the 56 Minor Arcana, depict full scenes with figures and symbols. Pamela Smith’s ability to capture the subtleties of emotion and experience, has made the Rider-Waite Tarot the basis for the designs of many 20th Century packs.

Modern Tarot decks typically contain 78 cards which are divided into two sections. Continue reading
