The Ænigma Project – Pareidolia

The Ænigma Project – Mondays 8 PM EST

Tonight during our show we discussed Pareidolia.
Pareidolia is the imagined perception of a pattern or meaning where it does not actually exist, as in considering the moon to have human features.

Here’s an example:
It’s amazing to me that people “don’t” see the dog. So I’ll help you out.
– First you have to click the photo and make it bigger.
– Then look at the red building to the left. Focus on the roof line on the right side of the building. See the chimney?
– Now look to the right of that in the area that looks like sand and you’ll see a tail, body and shepherd head.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Temperance – Inverted

Temperance: Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

You could be swimming in success today, but only if you approach the day with the concept of moderation. Have patience, work toward being balanced and tolerant of others throughout the day. And please limit your consumption of food and especially drink! Remember too much of anything (good, bad or indifferent) isn’t good for you.

Additional Insight:

Be careful if you go out with your team from work. Don’t eat too much, don’t drink too much. And don’t stay away from the office for too long. The consequences could impact the rest of your week.

Everything in moderation will keep you in the good graces of those you want to impress. And if someone you’re friends with starts to get out of hand, try to take them aside and show some compassion to help them out. They may have things going on that no one else knows about. Instead of chastising them for their behavior, give them some kindness and see if there’s something going on that you can help with. Continue reading

Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Precepts

Reiki is a Japanese word translated as “Universal Life Energy” by Hawayo Takata.
She brought the possibility of a relationship with this energy to us through Usui Shiki Ryoho, a healing system founded by Mikao Usui in the early part of the 1900’s. In 1973 Hawayo Takata, a Hawaiian woman of Japanese decent, was the only Reiki Master of the Usui Shiki Ryoho system in the world and was considered to be its Grand Master. She was also the first person to bring Usui Reiki to the United States after becoming a Master in 1938, teaching the system at the University of Hawaii.

Takata trained 21 Reiki Masters before her death in 1980. One of those Masters was Rev. Beth Gray, who was my first Reiki teacher for Reiki I and II. I have been a practicing Reiki Healer since 1989. I became a Reiki Master Channel in 1996.

Because of the evolution of Reiki around the world, some good and some not so good, the Principles given to all Reiki students has evolved and changed over time. Some call the Principles a Motto. A Motto is a short sentence or phrase chosen as encapsulating the beliefs or ideals guiding an individual. Where as a Principle is a fundamental truth or proposition that serves as the foundation for a system of belief or behavior or for a chain of reasoning. For the traditional Usui Reiki Channel, the Principles are a guiding force in our every day life, it is a fundamental truth within the Reiki healing system. So I’m not real fond of calling the Principles, a “motto”. Continue reading
