Put your feet up and rest for a little bit. You have a story to share, a tale that’s worth hearing and a young person who needs to listen to it. Don’t assume others won’t be interested in what you have to say. You’ve been through a lot in your life and the lessons learned can help someone else avoid making the same mistakes you did.
Don’t be afraid to share a memory. More importantly don’t remain silent when others are trying to use words to manipulate a situation and underhandedly alter the course others might take in their life. Be the leader that speaks up for the facts and the whole story, not just a piece of it, or a spin that alters the truth.
Simply because someone says something over and over again, doesn’t mean it’s true or factual. You can’t change history to support an argument that has no basis in fact. And you can’t remain silent when those who think they’re charismatic use manipulative labels to influence your thinking. It’s a day to think for yourself and research the truth.
