Omens have long been part of human history. They are believed to foretell the future, often signifying change. The word itself “omen” doesn’t define the nature of the future event. It can be either good, bad or even indifferent. Even people who don’t believe in any spiritual or cosmic manifestation often believe in omens.

When birds fly south early in the fall, it means the winter will be very cold. Or when animals seek shelter on a sunny day, look out for a bad storm is in the air. For Pagans omens in nature are an every day occurrence. But what about those rare, blood moons and brooms falling in the kitchen? When we accept the lessons of life, good, bad or indifferent and we’re willing to change with love, we find it easier to move forward and we are more open to the rewards that come forth.
