When Compassion Succeeds

When Spiritual Psychology Goes Right

As a Pagan Minister I receive a lot of requests from people looking for spiritual insight and help during times of trials and challenges. Often times, these requests come from people who are out of state or even overseas. They can be people who live in areas that are highly saturated in a Christian community, or military people who want one of their own to talk to.

Imagine being in crisis and wanting someone to speak with in spiritual terms, but the only available help are Christian Ministers who don’t understand your pagan beliefs. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard someone say the minister only wanted them to pray for salvation and to convert from their wicked pagan ways. If they would do that, their problems would disappear. For many, this isn’t the help they’re looking for and in fact, it causes some to feel even more helpless than they were prior to the “Spiritual Counseling” session. Continue reading →

Watch your harvest today. Someone is trying to get something for nothing and steal from behind your back. Don’t sign any contracts, make any deals or be pressured into any sales pitch. Learn to say No and not feel guilty about it. You’ve worked hard this season! Don’t let someone else try to take from you all that you have gained so far. If you can’t say “No” make sure you read EVERYTHING and are completely clear about what you’re signing. The fine print will make a really big difference!

Additional Insight:

If you feel pressured to make a deal, then simply say “No thank you” and walk away or hang up the phone. Something sneaky is going on behind your back and you could be entering into an unfair deal or situation. It’s ok to say “No”, no matter who’s doing the asking.

You have no reason to feel guilty about looking after your own harvest. If others didn’t prepare for the coming winter season, that’s not your fault. You can’t feed everyone when you only have enough for you and yours in the first place.

If you can’t say “No”, then try saying “I need to think about this some more. I’ll think about it over the weekend.” or what about “I’ll take the contract home and read it through over the weekend”. If you’re pressured into signing today, it’s best to say No instead of risking a hidden or misleading clause that gets you in deeper than you ever expected. This is especially true for contracts that lock you into something for several years or decades. So be extra careful on closings, insurance scams or mortgage refi’s and modifications. You can always take a contract to a lawyer and bring it back to the bank or closing officer later today. Only you can protect you!
