While you have so many things up in the air to pay attention to, don’t forget what’s already on your table. The things you disregard maybe the very things you want most in your life. There’s a difference between important and imperative. But sometimes those imperative items stack up so high that you can’t see the magik you’ve already created in front of you. Give respect to what you already have, and you won’t lose them.
Everything deserves respect. Especially those things you hold near and dear to your heart. Be they a special tool, a favorite necklace, a person or people in your life, respect them and they’ll never leave you.
Respect is the biggest thing that holds people together. Respecting their ideas, their wishes, their opinions and their value to you in your life is the key to maintaining a long term relationship.
Constant disrespect breeds disdain, anger and hurt feelings. Remember that your actions speak much louder than your words. If you’re not putting for the effort to show your respect, you will lose what you love most.
Don’t leave the ceremonial knife out in the rain to become rusted. Don’t scatter the cards on your desk and leave them unprotected to get lost or damaged. Clean the favorite necklace from time to time and examine it for damage. When you’re asked for support or help from a loved one, don’t huff or puff, don’t ignore it, be there for them. Even if it’s hard. Especially if they’ve been there for you!
