Try not to let the physical pain affect your mood. It’s not the fault of others that you’re hurting, so don’t take it out on them. Rest, relax, soak in a warm bath if you can. Remember that injury and ailments are a physical manifestation of an underlying thought pattern that you’ve been carrying for a long time. How you think, creates how you feel; Mind/Body/Spirit.
Eastern medicine has operated under this impression for centuries. Our thoughts create patterns that can manifest in the physical body. The body then tries to show us the message in order to get our attention and help us understand the cause of the patterns. When we recognize this, we can focus on the real problem and heal the ailment before it becomes a serious issue.
There are many books on the market that describe this system of belief and understanding, but for me, one of the best books on the market for healers is called “Heal Your Body” by Louise Hay, from Hay House Publishing. Ms. Hay has created one if not the definitive source for emotional causes, their corresponding illness and a metaphysical affirmation to help the individual deal with the originating cause.
The longer you ignore the emotional issue, the greater or more dire the illness becomes. The harder it is to heal or repair, until the issue develops into an illness that may not have a method to be healed.
For today and through the weekend, pay attention to your thoughts and how you use your self talk. Stop being afraid, feeling guilty or angry at yourself. Show compassion and self-love for your mind and body and forgive yourself. Turn the negative into positives and allow yourself to heal from within.
A little light reading from Spring’s Haven:
In the past year I have received a large number of messages asking for help with back pain. Because it seems to be one of the biggest issues people are facing, let me share those affirmations.
The back represents the support of life. The area afflicted with pain or problems can also pinpoint the underlying cause. There are 3 areas of the back, the upper (affects feelings), middle (affected by the past) and lower (affects financial).
Ailment: Lower Back Problems
Cause: Fear of money. Lack of financial support.
Affirmation: I trust the process of life. All I need is always taken care of. I am safe.
Ailment: Middle Back Problems
Cause: Guilt. Stuck in all that stuff back there. “Get off my back” feelings.
Affirmation: I release the past. I am free to move forward with love in my heart.
Ailment: Upper Back Problems
Cause: Lack of emotional support, feeling unloved. Holding back love.
Affirmation: I love and approve of myself. Life supports and loves me.
Ailment: Herniated Discs
Cause: Ruptured relationships. Feeling great strain and burdens of support. Holding fear within ruptured relationships.
Affirmation: My mind is harmonious. I love and approve of myself. I am free to be me and support my own emotions with joy
