Busy, Busy, Busy

The Wolf WithinNot Enough Time In The Day/Week/Month!

I’ve been working on other projects that are taking a lot of time away from my blog here. They’re fun and exciting projects and I’m enjoying them at least. Some of them are articles for other magazines. So stay tuned, I’ll be posting news about the release of those issues as they come. Some are for December so we have a little time to wait.

There are three reflection articles I have in the works for now:

  1. Confidence and Ego – When is it ok to judge.
In our modern world, judging others has become a ‘bad’ thing. Maybe there are times when making judgements is necessary.
  2. Teaching Your Children – Sharing the path with your kids.
Where to start and how to safely incorporate them into your practices.
  3. Dealing With Illness And Disease – When it exists in those you live or work with.
Living with older relatives can be trying. How can you use your spiritual perspective to make things better.

It seems this time of the year things always get more jammed packed with things to do, leaving little time for the things you plan to do. I love the fall and winter seasons. The change of leaves and the excitement of seeing the snow fall on a cold winter day are both wonderfully fun for me. Now..if I could make a schedule and have it actually work out the way I plan, there will be time enough for everything!  ..yeah right.  😉

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Three of Swords – Inverted

Three of Swords - Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Take it easy today and find something to get your mind off the stressful things on your plate. You’re working yourself into a frenzy and doing so will cause you to make mistakes and forget what’s important today. Remember you’re only one person, you can’t do it all. And by the way, you don’t have to! So stop thinking you can’t rely on anyone else, because you can!

Additional Insight:

If you don’t take care of yourself, your thoughts and actions will make you sick. You’re burning the candle at both ends because you think you have to do it all. You don’t! There are many people around who will help you out if you simply realize you’re not the only one who can do these things. Shared responsibilities can indeed be shared!

Take it easy and try to take a little nap maybe. The rest will help you get through the day and it might even help you clear your mind a bit to tackle the jobs you can’t put off until next week.

Listen to the Earth’s “Dawn Chorus”

The Sound of Earthsong

The RBSP spacecraft’s Electric and Magnetic Field Instrument Suite and Integrated Science (EMFISIS) instrument has beamed back a beautiful Chorus sung by our own planet.

Chorus is an electromagnetic phenomenon caused by plasma waves in Earth’s radiation belts, made up of radio waves that oscillate at acoustic frequencies. They are thought to be the waves that energize the electrons that make up the outer radiation belt.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Six of Wands – Inverted

Six of Wands: Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Your creative energy can manifest the strangest things, but often times they are exactly what you need at the moment. Your unique humor can cause others to laugh and help them through troubled times, but it also helps you as well. Allow your compassion and frivolity to light the darkness and help others find their way out of the shadows and from under the mushrooms.

Additional Insight:

Your spiritual beliefs and unique humor can often carry you through times of trials and help you to handle change and transition. Share that ability to assist others who do not have the same perspective. Not everyone has that inner strength and many fall into deep depression when troubles occur or a loss is experienced. It doesn’t matter if that change is the loss of a job, relationship, friend, pet or relative. The end of something tangible has equal emotional sorrow as those things that are intangible.

You can aid them in not falling too far into the depths of despair with your tempered humor and compassionate attention. Sometimes looking at the silver lining is equally as important as feeling sorrow and letting it out.

Too much of anything isn’t good for anyone. Holding sadness in can fester and cause more harm than good. Letting sadness rule your life isn’t a positive expression of emotion either. Ensuring that one expresses a balanced approach to their emotions allows one to grieve over things or people lost; and yet still maintain a sense of emotional stability.

It’s never easy losing someone or something that was important to you. But the only real constant in life is that things change. Fight that change and you’ll lose the battle and miss the chance to find love or fulfillment in the future. Accept that things change for a reason and celebrate what they brought to you in your life and you can focus on the good things in life and be open to new lessons and experiences it has to offer you.

Everyone needs a little encouragement, a little face to face confirmation to see a smile or to know someone else let’s them know “It really will be ok”.  Sometimes a person simply wants someone to listen. A face to face moment of communication, where compassion can be seen. That smile or the look of compassionate eyes can go a long way to helping them make it through yet another issue. It’s amazing how much a kind word or simple smile can lift someone out of their fear and hopelessness.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: The World

The World

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Everything in the world is at your finger tips. All you need to do is reach for it. It’s not going to come to you on its own. It’s not going to be given to you in a present or package. Heal your wounds and find your inner confidence to be all you can become. Then stand up and reflect that image to the world around you. You’ll be wearing the crown of success and sharing your compassion with others before you know it.

Additional Insight:

Don’t be the wounded warrior and wallow in self pity. Even if you have to start over again, you are ahead of the game. You can apply what you’ve learned through your previous experiences and this time, rely on your own insights and choices. Don’t leave them to someone else and then give up because it didn’t turn out the way you wanted.

Show compassion for yourself, from there you can grow out of the healing and into your own crowning achievements of success. Reflect not only to the world what you are, but back to yourself as well. When you believe in you; others will too.

Remember, when you align your own inspiration with that of the Divine Creation in your life; you can achieve anything. But first you must believe and get to work. You can do it.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Queen of Swords

Queen of Swords

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Don’t let your bad mood yell at someone who doesn’t deserve it. The weather is changing and it’s affecting you physically. Use your mental prowess to control your emotions and keep them in check. If you do yell at someone, make sure you apologize and explain your condition. They might feel compassion for your situation and not get to angry at you for the bad mood.

Additional Insight:

Swords represent Strength or Strife. Which emotion will you choose today? Will you find the strength to endure and control your own emotions? Or will you look for strife and attack those who don’t deserve your pain and anger?

When the weather changes, so does the barometric pressure. That pressure in the air affects everyone differently. For some it can feel like your entire body is in a vice, for others it can cause severe migraines. The colder it gets, the worse these pains can become.

So on those days when a storm is coming through, or a weather front is approaching, try to remember that some people are dealing with a great deal of physical pain and it wears them down. If they yell at you, ask them if they’re ok. A little shoulder rub can really go a long way to helping them find a little relief.

If you’re the one suffering with the pain, don’t use it as an excuse to be mean to people. How you act and react affects those around you adversely as well. You might be suffering but if you’re not going to do anything about it, don’t be surprised if others start ignoring you or find ways not to be around you. Your pain and bad mood is yours to deal with, it’s not someone else’s problem.
