Stop pouting and facing the world with anger and angst. All you’re doing is creating more of the same in your life. You’re not an island and you’re not alone, so stop acting like you are. There are people who care about you, if you will show that you care about them. YOU control how your day goes. You decide if it’s going to be good or not. So make your choice. Which is it?

As I pulled this card today I had a spiritual visitor who indicated she had a message about “that” card. Here’s what she had to say:

There’s a difference between being a lone and being lonely. If you’re constantly angry, whither it’s at a person, a project or a thing, people are going to avoid you. That constant angst is draining and pulls others down who maybe having a good day for fighting to stay on an even keel.

Others do care about you, but they maybe afraid to show it. You may care about them, but your blind focus on negative things keeps those feelings hidden or worse, appear that you don’t care about anyone else at all.

If you want your life to change, you’re the only one who can change it. If you’re tired of the anger and frustration, then stop going off on every little thing. You expect others to deal with their issues, how about you start dealing with your own first.

Sometimes my ghostly visitors tell it like it is and don’t pull punches. What I’d say is that you can go around beating yourself up and pouting about things you said or things you’ve done, but that’s not going change things. If you want to be around happy people or people who are handling their stress on an even keel, then you have to first be that person yourself. You can’t hold others up to a certain standard that you yourself don’t meet. All you do is pull more of that same energy toward you, and like a snowball down a mountain, it will grow and eventually it may grow out of hand.

Relax a little. Get rid of some stress this weekend. Take a real day off! Go for a walk or a drive in the mountains or park. Enjoy the changing colors of fall or the blossoming color of spring. Remind yourself and those around you that you love them and care about them. Show them in the little things you do. Pick up a cookie or piece of halloween candy for your best friend. Bring home a flower for your partner. Find a sticker or tiny toy for your kids. Let the ones you love know you love them.
