The Supreme Court rules gay couples nationwide have a right to marry. “Under the Constitution, same-sex couples seek in marriage the same legal treatment as opposite-sex couples, and it would disparage their choices and diminish their personhood to deny them this right,” Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote in the majority opinion. ~ Read the coverage at The Washington Post.
Everyone here at Springwolf Reflections and Spring’s Haven celebrate with the LGBT community on the Court’s decision to enforce Marriage Equality for all American people. This is a profound moment in the history of our nation. Love is Love in all 50 states of the U.S.
“The first wedding I officiated was for a same-sex couple.” Spring explained. “It has always bothered me that the wedding wasn’t “Legal” here in Virginia at the time. Not only for the couple, but as a minister licensed in this Commonwealth there was something lacking in the celebration. It was my first official wedding and there was nothing to mark the occasion.”
Since that first ceremony, Spring’s Haven has helped many same-sex-couples marry, even if it were only in the spiritual or secular sense. We have provided a certificate to mark the occasion and honor the couple and the sanctity of their union. It’s heartwarming and emotionally uplifting to know that now when we officiate any wedding, we can celebrate their legal status by filling out a simple form, mail it to the County Clerk of Court to register their legally sanctified marriage!
We couldn’t be more thrilled, uplifted and happy for our country, state and community. This ruling impacts so many couples and their families nationwide and even internationally. Same sex couples who were legally married in a foreign country and moved to the United States, will now be recognized as well. Children of LGBT couples will be respected and have the same rights with security and dignity as any other child with two parents.
“This ruling is a victory for America. Today, we can say in no uncertain terms that we have made our union a little more perfect. All people should be treated equally, regardless of who they are or who they love.” said President Obama in his speech after the ruling was announced. “This ruling is…a victory for gay and lesbian couples who have fought so long for their basic civil rights. When all Americans are treated as equal, we are all more free. For all our differences we are one people. We are stronger together than we could ever be alone.” he added.
Twitter lit up with Congratulations and Celebrations. Here are two of our favorites.

Just In – @GovernorVA on #MarriageEquaility #SCOTUS opinion: a profound moment in the history of our nation and our Commonwealth
We want to focus on the happiness of the day and congratulate all the same-sex couples out there getting married and celebrating their legal union. We can save the commentary from the opposition for a later time. Though we hope and pray that all Americans and especially our politicians will allow this ruling to stand and be reflected in the law as it is today without further attack or opposition.
The celebration continues in front of the Supreme Court, and on the steps of court houses around the country. “As a Minister of my faith, I’m honored to bring any couple together in love and marriage.” Spring added today. “We have always accepted that love is love in the Pagan Metaphysical community. Love is the most powerful energy in the Divine Universe and it cannot be stopped or held at bay for ever.”
A Little Numerological Insight:
Fitting for this post, this is the 1400th post on Springwolf Reflections.
If you’ve seen my number insights before you know that Mathematics is the only language shared by all humans regardless of culture, religion, or gender. Numerology is the study of the divine or mystical relationship between a count or measurement and life. It has many systems and traditions and beliefs. My practice of numerology is Shamanistic Numerology that’s based on Celtic and North American Shamanistic teachings. It’s not the only method, the best method or the true method. It’s simply one of many methods and one that resonates most with me and my personal perspectives of the Divine and the world we live in.

A quick review; Prime numbers are those numbers that are specific to you, your birthday, social security or other numbers that will stick with you throughout your lifetime. Sub-Prime numbers are numbers associated with you that change over time. Your phone number, an employee number, drivers license number and other things like that. A date falls into the category of Sub-Prime, because it only comes around once and quickly changes to the next day in the scheme of your lifetime.
Five: – The number of chaos and creation, influences, and leadership.
- This number is associated with Jupiter.
- This number is associated with the Holly Tree.
- This number is associated with the Wolf.
- It represents Chaos and Creation (out of chaos comes creation).
- Positive Direction: The number of leadership and the executive. This is the number of optimism and vision. Being able to see through the chaos and create success. Those with 5 in their life are assured of their own ability to succeed and create success even in adversity. They are adventurous and easily take risks.
- Negative Direction: 5 can sometimes be too risky and make decisions based on a whim instead of inner intuition and research. They can over simplify, or live in a perspective of what could be instead of what is. While this might be beneficial in business, it’s detrimental in relationships and family.
Fitting I think. The creation of dignity for all people regardless of race, religion or sexual orientation.
