Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Five of Pentacles – Inverted

5 of Pentacles - Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Don’t spend your purse until you’re sure it’s full. The promise of finance is only that; a promise. Patience is hard right now because of the long dry spell. But you must wait until the promise has been fulfilled before you start spending your new found wealth! You might find yourself in a deeper hole that you didn’t count on.

Additional Insight:

Receiving news might brighten your day, but don’t let it turn out to be news of disaster because it’s not what you thought. Today and over the weekend, hold tight and wait to see if what’s promised is really what comes your way.

It’s understandable to want to celebrate because the end of struggles maybe over. But there’s more going on here than meets the eye. So be happy and hopeful, but don’t go shopping yet.

You’re better off remaining calm, doing some research and making plans with the new income that will carry you through the years to come. Being frugal isn’t your style, and that in part is what may have gotten you into the financial mess to begin with. If you are frugal and feel you’re where you are at no fault of your own; you know how not to count on others for your security.

Dreaming is ok. Dreams keep hope alive and help us to strive for a better future. But be cautious. What was here today, can be gone tomorrow without any plan or failover to fall back on.

The Cycle of Life And Death

From Spirit to Incarnation

Preordained vs Free Will and Choice

Today I read a lovely article by a colleague which talks about life and death and the importance of living life.

“Responsive Reading – Living and Dying:
Every person has an appointed time to live and a time to die. Our time upon the earth is but a moment in the span of eternity. Death is not to be regarded with fear but as something good when it comes in due season.”
by Robert Dorris President/Minister at Unitarian Community, Inc.

I like this perspective. And while I agree that everything happens in it’s time and space, I’ve always had a hard time with the “preordained” concept. And it can be hard to reconcile those two ideas. I believe in reincarnation. And that concept doesn’t fit with the preordained perspective. But I also believe everything in it’s right time and space. So how do you fit those two things together? Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Nine of Cups

Nine of Cups

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

A hug can go along way to helping you get through the challenges. It takes two of you to put up a good fight. Together you will triumph against your adversaries and find happiness. But it takes both sides to balance the work and help each other out.

Additional Insight:

The key to any successful partnership is respect. You can’t simply say the words, you must show it with actions. For action speaks louder than words.

There can’t be an approach to “that’s his job” or “she’ll do that later”. If you see something that needs to be done, do it. Balance the responsibilities means helping each other when and where you can. It means doing little things to help ease the stress of your partner, even if it’s for a day.

Only when you join forces and face the daily challenges head on as a team, will you be able to make things work. This is true of personal relationships, close friendships, business partnerships and even community groups.

Don’t be afraid to help out. If you feel you need permission, then ask. The worst someone can say is no. At least you made the effort to help. What better way to show an act of respect?

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Death

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

You’re not dead yet so stop acting like you are. You have much left to do to complete your mission. Some of that involves learning lessons and paying karma. But it also involves redeeming what is owed to you. If you stop living now, you’ll never know what could have been. So don’t give up yet!

Additional Insight:

The end of this chapter of suffering is at hand, but don’t let it kill you as it wanes and comes to a close. It’s ok to learn the lessons of trust, self-sacrifice, understanding what’s really important in life and what the real blessings are. But it’s not ok to allow the jaded perspective to change who you are and who you’ve worked so hard to become. Doing so allows your adversaries to win the battle and the war. And frankly they don’t deserve that kind of victory over you!

You have gained a great deal of knowledge and wisdom that will carry your forward into success. And you will be able to take advantage of that success unlike others who have had it handed to them. Working for it gives you the chance to appreciate the effort, the accomplishment and the achievements much more. Be thankful for those blessings. Don’t throw them away.

Being tired and dealing with the physical pain and effects of stress can indeed drain you. But it can’t drain the spirit unless you allow it to. Remember the only constant is life, is change. You can fight it, you can struggle against it, or you can go with the flow, taking time to see the beauty it has to offer.

Remember this years motto! And take time each day, either first thing in the morning, or last thing each night to practice The 5 Minute Alignment Meditation and become one with your spiritual consciousness and the Divine force in your life.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: The Tower

The Tower

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Be the calm that rises out of the chaos. Others are allowing their fear to put them into panic mode. They’re not thinking clearly and not looking at the long term effects of the situation. You can be the glue that holds things together by using your fear to feed your strength and not your emotions. Even in darkness there is light and growth. Don’t let the anger, fear and trepidation rule your path.

Additional Insight:

Fear is not an “uncontrollable characteristic”. You can manage it and direct it to help provide strength in times of chaos. It can carry you through great trials and tragic events like no other feeling can. But it can also get in the way if you allow it to feed your emotions instead.

The Brave are not the people without fear, for fear can keep you safe in times of struggle. The Brave and the Heroes are the ones who manage their fear and face the danger for the sake of others, KNOWING the danger is real. Using fear to feed your strength allows you to see beyond the norm. It can expand your view and see what others don’t see. It can help you think through the problems and devise creative solutions to overcome the problems at hand.

You have already over come so much chaos and tragedy. You have struggled and endured. You have survived and you’re still fighting the good fight. You are not the loser or victim that others want to make you out to be. Don’t allow them to paint your shield of fear with the sign of a victim. That shield can be a weapon that out smarts their battle plans! Today is the day you stand up and take the battle head on. You may not win the war ..yet.. but you will win the day!

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: The Priestess – Inverted

The Priestess Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Sometimes seeing the small things means you’re missing the bigger picture. Everyone reacts to immense stress in different ways. Some run away, some retreat within, some fall apart before your eyes and others throw themselves into what’s before them and block out the situations causing anxiety. Don’t judge others by what YOU do. It’s not fair to them, or you.

Additional Insight:

Giving up is not the answer. But there are many ways people try to handle the challenges in life, and do so in a way that they’re not taking it out on those around them. Going within may help some regain control of their emotions so they can stand up another day. Running away for a few hours each week, can help others replenish their strength. Shutting out the world and falling into a book, game, or even TV can help some block out the stress for a little while.

Stomping around the house, yelling at others, slamming doors and dishes might be your way to release stress. But in doing so, you spread the anger around and cause others to feel targeted.

There is no set standard for how someone is “supposed” to act in order to deal with the trials they face. And everyone has their own way of handling anxiety that may not appear to be normal. The problem with this perspective is that people assume others have faced the same issues in life that they have and therefore expect them to act a certain way and as they would.

You don’t know what has occurred in someone’s life. The trials, tragedies or events that crossed their path maybe totally different from your own. Even the same events can cause different levels of anxiety in one person compared to another because of spiritual karma. Each person is unique and deals with all events in life, good, bad and indifferent based on their experiences, present and past.

Instead of being harsh, looking down on others because they aren’t reacting the way you think they should, or want them to; try compassion. Let those you care about know you’re there and you do care. Don’t bait them into an argument. Don’t push them into talking if they’re not ready to. Remember everyone needs human contact and a feeling of connection. A simple caress of a shoulder, a hand on the small of their back as you walk together, holding hands, or a hug can speak volumes when there’s no words to be said.

Researchers at Brigham Young University (BYU) in Provo, Utah, conducted a meta-analysis of published studies and found that having social ties with friends, family, neighbors and colleagues can improve our odds of survival by 50 per cent. You can read about their study online in a paper published in the July 2010 issue of PLoS Medicine – “Social Relationships and Mortality Risk: A Meta-analytic Review” by Julianne Holt-Lunstad, Timothy B. Smith, and J. Bradley Layton.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Five of Swords

Five of Swords

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Don’t blame others who have nothing to do with your problem. They can’t fix it. Rumors are swirling around like a Tornado. But as with all rumors, they’re rarely accurate or true. If you have an issue with someone, it’s best to ask them directly instead of helping to spread the falsehoods. Whether their good or bad, lies can harm people and reputations through unknown consequences. Don’t be part of chaos. Be part of the solution.

Additional Insight:

Managing your actions by rumor is the worst thing you can do in life. Even if those rumors aren’t about you directly, they could impact you emotionally and perhaps physically if you allow yourself to believe them. Don’t live your life on lies. Show your strength and belief in yourself by standing up to rumor and innuendo. You maybe glad you did for the entire month of May!

If you want to know something, go to the source and tell them you heard this or that and want to know if it’s true because it affects you. Or let someone know rumors are going around and you want to make them aware of it. If it’s true, then you may want to offer compassion and help. If it’s not, you want to do your part to stop the rumors.

Always check the facts first. Don’t be a social media “forward participant”. It’s so easy to spread lies, misconceptions and falsehoods through Twitter, Facebook and through every other digital media outlet.

If you see a story online that seems amazing in a good or bad way, research the story before you hit that forward button. It’s easy to type in elements of the story in a search engine and look through legitimate news agencies for the same story. If you can’t find the story through news reports, then there’s a good bet it’s not true. So when you forward the story, you can make note that it’s false and an internet rumor. Go the extra step and search for the story on Snopes.com, who tracks and follows up on many of the false topics spreading through the world.

Don’t be seen as the gullible person who can’t keep their mouth shut about anything. Don’t be the gossip-monger who wants to spread the latest rumor and appear to be “in the know”, when it may turn out to be false and untrue. You will gain more respect by being the person who is reliable, honorable, trustworthy and can keep a confidence. Leave the rumors behind and manage your life on the facts.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: The Priest – Inverted

The Priest - Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Relax, there’s nothing you can do. You’re not in control of what’s going on or the solution to correct it. Be patient, things will work out as they should.  Heal the inner spirit and be the one in control of your own thoughts and actions. No one can take that away from you, unless you give it to them.

Additional Insight:

There’s too many things going on behind the scenes that you’re not in control over. You can’t fix the problem or force people to do what you want or think they should be doing to correct the issue. It’s out of your hands, so relax.

Allow your inner spirit to provide healing for your emotion state of mind. Trust in your beliefs and in the Divine force in your life. With that you will always have hope. With hope you will always make it through even the hardest challenges that life can throw at you.

Don’t allow others to control your emotions and pull you into their fight. You will only bang your head on the wall unnecessarily. Let go of the stress, do what you need to do for YOU and be patient as things work through the cogs of the machine and work themselves out.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Six of Cups – Inverted

Six of Cups - Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Don’t bend over backwards to make things easy for someone who’s trying to keep you down. You could be tricked into doing their work and getting none of the credit. Make sure you do what you must do, but keep the extra effort for projects you know you’ll reap the rewards from. And don’t forget to toot your own horn when you get the opportunity.

Additional Insight:

You don’t have to “brag” or continually tell others “I did this”. Not everyone needs to know you’re the one doing the extra work. Make sure your boss knows and if they’re the one you don’t trust, find a way to catch the boss’s boss in the hall for a casual conversation. Ask them a question about the project and casually say “I’ve gotten this and that completed, and have this left to do. If I need help with that, can I pull a resource for there?”. There are many ways to let those with the power know you’re doing the bigger job. But whatever you do, don’t diss the boss or make any negative comment about them. “I don’t know about that, I’ve been working on my piece” is good enough to get out a jam.

Diplomacy is all about spin. What you don’t say is equally as important as what you do say. “I’ve been overwhelmed with my piece” would be the wrong spin. Always speak with confidence, innocence and good intentions. Always spin your effort to successful conclusions. Always ask if you can ask for help, but in the end leave yourself room to say “I thought I might need help, but I didn’t”.

Remember sometimes if you can’t beat the crooks who try to steal your piece of the pie; it’s better to join their game and play it better than they do.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Wheel Of Fortune – Inverted

Wheel Of Fortune - Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Let things come full circle today. One chapter will end and a new one will begin. It’s not starting over! So don’t worry about getting knocked down! This time, you’ll be able to apply what you have learned, make better choices and look at situations from a different angle. Your wisdom and experience will shine in ways that bring about positive growth and illumination. As well as, an easier path that moves you forward.

Additional Insight:

When we repeat patterns, we do so because there are lessons we didn’t learn the first time around. Take some time to relax, look back over your choices and the decisions you made the first time. Be honest with yourself concerning how those choices played out and what you need to do differently this time.

The best way to do this is through meditation and going within. View the wheel from a higher perspective. Look at it through a spiritual view instead of an emotional response. Don’t be hard on yourself or blame yourself for choices and decisions that didn’t work out the way you desired. Learn from them instead.

As the wheel turns you’ll be able to ride through the changes with ease if you can keep your view from that of spirit. Allow the wisdom you have gained to serve you and the changes will be positive ones. Fight the changes and you’ll create more stress and strife that you don’t need or want.

The only real constant in life, is that things change. Allow them to change for the better.
