Catching Up

As many of you know I had a major computer crash at the end of last year. Consequently I wasn’t able to access my email for several weeks/months.

I’m back up and running but it’s taking a little longer to respond to all your messages. Don’t give up on me yet! I’m up to December now! I’ve been able to get through at least 5 messages a day; but there’s still many left to answer.

Hang in there, I WILL answer each one personally.

As I said earlier this week, We want to provide as many outlets as possible for people to interact with us, enjoy our posts and share our news, thoughts and inspirations.

I’ve been resisting and holding out joining Pinterest for a number of years. But after my post about joining Google+ a number of people requested the Pinterest membership too.

What Is That Cartouche?

The Copyright Seal

At the bottom of the posts here on Springwolf Reflections, you may notice a seal with Japanese characters. Some folks have asked what that is. Well it’s not a cartouche, it’s called a Japanese Hanko and it’s my copyright seal for my work. I use the seal on articles, art, and even student certificates.

These seals are still used in Japan for professional and personal purposes. Most requiring registration with local government offices, much like a trademark is registered in the U.S. today. Like a signature to a Westerner, they are indispensable tools for Japanese adults in authorizing a myriad of transactions, from automobile registration, to bank activities to setting up house utilities. Nearly any occasion that would call for a Westerner’s signature would call for an impression of a hanko in Japan.

Spiritual Relationships Revisited

On Monday night (May 14, 2012), Paul Cagle, Sushi and I sat at our round table for The Ænigma Project and held a discussion about Soul Mates. The next day I wrote a follow up article that covered the topics we discussed and the Pagan Metaphysical approach to what these relationships are and what they mean to us.

Some time between then and now, that article became corrupted on the server, with bits and pieces missing. I’m not sure when that occurred, but thankfully I had the original article on a back up where I could recover it. Thanks to my friend Myranda for bringing the corrupted issue to my attention!
