Your harvest is filling your baskets and helping prepare your stores for late fall and winter. You may not be out of the woods until October, so don’t go haywire and ignore your budget. Take care of the things that have impending deadlines that cannot be missed or delayed. They won’t go away until you do. In fact they might get much worse if you try to put them on the back burner to limit the stress on your day. You’ll only delay the anxiety and give it time to grow much bigger if you do. Now isn’t the time to relax. There’s more to be done in the garden and working will help you overcome and find solutions you didn’t expect.
Sometimes your idea isn’t as crazy as you might think and others are willing to work with you to make it happen. The worst they can say is “No thank you”. How bad is that, really? At least you’re trying and working to find an answer that can work for everyone. But if you allow fear to rule your day, you’ll never know if things could have worked in you favor or with a bigger piece of the pie.
Fear is not your friend. It holds you back, stagnates growth and limits opportunities. It exaggerates the negative and builds anchors that hold you in the past or pulls you down into the darkness. It attacks your progress and continually breaks apart the road you’re struggling to travel upon as you work to move forward. Let it go and let the Divine in your life help to show you the road the faith that rises above the fear. Continue reading →
Don’t take the blame for something you didn’t do. Your friend maybe on the final straw of their last chance, but that’s not your responsibility. Don’t let them drag you into the consequences they created. You don’t have to go down with the ship to be loyal. You’re not the one who should feel guilty for not standing with them in the fall. Did you ever think maybe they should feel guilty for taking advantage of your friendship and pulling you down after you’ve worked so hard to stand up?
Friendship is a two-way street no matter who is involved. Even if that friendship is between partners, couples or family members. If someone you care about is on a self-destruct mission, you can’t save them. And you can’t allow them to pull you down with their ship. Don’t enable their behavior by feeling guilty and giving in to their mental manipulation and/or abuse.
Standing with someone doesn’t mean you let go of the safety rope and Jump onto their deck. It means reaching out to them and trying to pull them out of the negative destruction they’re getting sucked into. Use your steadfast clear thinking to help them get back onto shore into the safety of compassion and kindness. Then you can work on the problems together.
They’re going to use every guilt trip in the books to “pin” this on you. Either as a co-conspirator, or the guilty party all together. Don’t take the blame for something you didn’t do to ease the karma for another. It doesn’t really work that way and you’ll end up creating your own karma that you will have to resolve one day. Keep yourself on the top of the list for who deserves your love, compassion and good judgement. You have NO reason to feel bad about putting yourself first in situations like this.
There’s a difference between being the friend someone can count on, and being the friend that enables bad behavior at their own expense. If you go out this weekend and your friend who’s driving has a few too many, stand up and tell them to give you the keys. If you’ve had a few as well, that doesn’t mean choosing yourself as the driver and risking your reputation to get both of you home. Call a blasted cab, start walking or call a friend who can come get you both.
We all have choices and we shouldn’t feel guilty about putting ourselves first to ensure our reputation, health and maybe even our very life is protected for our future. Make a concerted effort to stop your friend from doing something stupid. But if they won’t listen, you may need to let them go on their way. Maybe they aren’t the friend you thought they were.
Keep yourself safe, stay in a safe place and stop feeling like you’re the one who did something wrong here. When did you become responsible for the world? When was it mission to save everyone around from their own poor judgement? Try hard to convince them they’re making a bad choice. But don’t give in because you’re being impatient while waiting for someone else to come help you out. It’s worth losing a little time out of the day or night, in order to make sure you’re there the next day to help your friend pick up the pieces and get through the consequences of their actions.

Springwolf Reflections 2014 Motto: I am at peace and live in the moment with all the prosperity and abundance I require!
I believe animals cross our path to bring us spiritual messages. Sometimes the messages are about us, our character, strengths or weaknesses. Sometimes they’re about events in our life and our thoughts impacting those events.
I’ve mentioned before, my favorite author on this subject is Ted Andrews. He has two books that I highly recommend, “Animal Speak” and “Animal Wise”.
He puts into words the wisdom of the Shamanistic approach to animal sign I was taught in my early studies. I high recommend his books. Continue reading →
Never Forget those we lost, their family and friends.
Never Forget those first responders and their heroic efforts.
Never Forget those who sacrificed their lives in the aftermath.
Never Forget those who volunteered to serve in response.
Never Forget those who didn’t come home from far and near.
We will always remember, with tears, thoughts and prayers.
Don’t make assumptions, read the manual! Things aren’t what they look like and you want to make sure you follow the correct instructions. Not doing so can create disaster and break products beyond repair, or impact agreements you’ve already made. You’ll also avoid getting upset and frustrated because something isn’t going together as it should.
Your task today might be something simple and easy to complete. But once you get your hands into it, things will be a little more complicated and less intuitive than you thought.
Take time to read the instructions and follow the manual from the beginning. The last thing you need is an unnecessary expense. It’s not a day to cut corners or make assumptions concerning something you’ve done many times before.
Sometimes new ideas are placed upon old things and a lot of exceptions, tweaks or band-aids were created to make them work together. You want to make sure you understand the old stuff well enough to maintain it. And you have a grasp on the new stuff to ensure it can still support the old in the manner it’s supposed to.
You’ll be able to solve the riddles and create the solutions. But that will require you to ignore what you already believe and understand about the topic. You may know a lot; but you don’t know everything. Even experts still have room to learn and discover. Don’t dismiss new perspectives of old ideas simply because you feel threatened or embarrassed that you don’t know something. Let go of the prideful arrogance, it’s not going to serve you well. Water your dreams and you’ll replace the blues with love and compassion for change. Things can’t keep going the way they are. Your current pattern of thinking and action are not sustainable. Stop allowing fear to wrap you up in the little hurts of the past. You have wings to fly and you didn’t have those last time around. This is your reminder to let go of the negative self talk! You not only can do this; but you’ve been doing! What more proof do you need?
In the fore-front of your mind you know things have to change in order for you to move forward. You tell yourself “I can do this” and you try to go through the motions of getting it done…to a point. But deep in your thoughts you’re still playing those negative recordings that put you down and encourage the fear of failure to constantly repeat in your subconscious. Stop it!
The only constant in life is that things change! You decide if they change for the better or if you stumble and fall back down the mountain. Stop allowing the doubts of others dictate your actions. There maybe a slight detour on your plan that you hadn’t seen before. It’s not a failure, it’s not a long trip away from your ultimate destination. Could be you need a little detour to gain experience on a particular item that will oil the final gear and get things moving forward with full steam and ease. Allow the possible to become probable and stop assuming the worst will happen if you take that extra trip.Continue reading →
