Don’t make assumptions, read the manual! Things aren’t what they look like and you want to make sure you follow the correct instructions. Not doing so can create disaster and break products beyond repair, or impact agreements you’ve already made. You’ll also avoid getting upset and frustrated because something isn’t going together as it should.

Your task today might be something simple and easy to complete. But once you get your hands into it, things will be a little more complicated and less intuitive than you thought.

Take time to read the instructions and follow the manual from the beginning. The last thing you need is an unnecessary expense. It’s not a day to cut corners or make assumptions concerning something you’ve done many times before.

Sometimes new ideas are placed upon old things and a lot of exceptions, tweaks or band-aids were created to make them work together. You want to make sure you understand the old stuff well enough to maintain it. And you have a grasp on the new stuff to ensure it can still support the old in the manner it’s supposed to.

You’ll be able to solve the riddles and create the solutions. But that will require you to ignore what you already believe and understand about the topic. You may know a lot; but you don’t know everything. Even experts still have room to learn and discover. Don’t dismiss new perspectives of old ideas simply because you feel threatened or embarrassed that you don’t know something. Let go of the prideful arrogance, it’s not going to serve you well.

Allow your stubborn pride to step aside today. It’s ok to admit you don’t know something, or that you’ve never seen something like this before. It’s time to expand your horizons and gain some new experience. You never know, you might even be able to apply this new perspective to old ideas and discover some exciting things you never thought of before. You can make to day an adventure to explore the old and learn new things.
