One more pebble will spill the whole works. Be careful what you’re taking on and the promises you’re making. You’ve already made commitments and you’re not giving yourself enough time to get those done. You’re not going to impress anyone if you take on more than you can handle, miss deadlines and leave people in the lurch. It’s ok to say “No”. If someone gets upset with that, they need to look at their own over commitments. You can’t save everyone, when you’re trying to save yourself and those closest to you.
Additional Insight:
No use crying over spilt milk. You made your choices, now it’s time to focus on those commitments and get things done the best you can. Don’t rush through projects or you’ll make mistakes and probably miss something that could be extremely costly in the end. You asked to be the ‘boss’; now it’s time to step up and take the responsibility of getting it done.
You’ll have time to goof off and play later. There’s plenty of fish in the sea who admire the self dedication and sacrifice it takes to work on your dreams and make them come true. Stop worrying about the one that got away, and focus on the one who’s in your pond today. You can’t keep worrying about history repeating itself, or you’re going to give it energy and make it happen all over again.
If you let go of the fear and stop thinking you have to go to the extremes to be accepted, things won’t feel so overwhelming. You won’t have to shine the brightest, or be the toughest or be the everything to everyone at ever instant of the day. You don’t need to be the warrior who tries to be the super hero. That person never seems to end the day in celebration. There’s always something missing, because they’ve sacrificed everything for the conquest and they have no one left to share the moment with when all is said and done.
