Region has a great deal of influence over early religious and/or spiritual celebrations. Especially in ancient times. While the Celts are generally seen as an individual group of people today, they were diverse and individual regional clans in their time.

They shared mythological stories, or perspectives, but they weren’t exactly the same. Different regions may hold a different set of deities on a higher level than others, or not include them at all.

Because of this, Bel has many names and many stories are attributed to him through out the old Celtic countries of Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Even Gaul was included in that region of Celtic culture (Gaul (Latin: Gallia) was a region of Western Europe during the Iron Age and Roman era, encompassing present day France, Luxembourg and Belgium, most of Switzerland, Northern Italy, as well as the parts of the Netherlands and Germany on the west bank of the Rhine. ~ Wikipedia:Gaul). There are plenty of fish in the water to choose from. Stop worrying about the one that got away. Focus on you and what you’re doing to sustain yourself in these waters. You don’t need to change your spots to please each person who crosses your path. Just be yourself.


Additional Insight:

It’s hard to remember which face you’re showing to each person who crosses your path. Trying to be something others like and changing to be something else for a different person takes a lot of energy. It also takes a big toll on your emotions and well-being.

You’re not going to be able to please everyone in your life at all times. And you don’t have to either. Those who don’t like this aspect of you or that perspective you hold about that topic aren’t the people you need to worry about. The only person who counts, is you! And if you can’t live with yourself, no one else is going to stay by your side either.

You already know that it’s not up to someone else to make you happy. Why are you trying to make others happy by being who they expect or want you to be? You have to be accountable for your emotions, but they don’t? Say what?! Continue reading
