Stop focusing on the lack and start working on solutions to turn it around. Yes it would be nice to win the lottery, but you can’t sit around waiting for that to happen. So stop putting everything you have emotionally in that ticket and start finding ways to get back on your feet. Start with defining your budget and stop wasting what you have on things you don’t need!
Now is not the time to splurge on anything. You can’t complain that you don’t have enough to survive and the go out and buy that new outfit, or that fancy new phone. Sure you can justify a wide range of things and why you must have it, but you’re only fooling yourself. And you know it.
The guilt you’re creating is from your own making. If you want things to turn around you’re going to have to stop wishing them away and start working to fix them in practical ways. It’s time to change the attitude and start focusing on what needs to be done.
If you’ve been working on the plan, great. At some point you’re going to have to start implementing it. You can plan from now until the end of time and convenience yourself you’re working on it. But a plan is nothing but a piece of paper until you start putting it into place and making it a reality.
Get started with you list of what you want to do. Write out 10 things you want to accomplish.
- The first 3 are goals for this year.
- The second 3 are goals for the next 3 years.
- The next 3 are goals for the next 5 years.
- And the last item, the ultimate lifetime goal.
Put your list where you can see it each and every day. Read it in the morning, at lunch and at night. Keep your goals in the for-front of your mind and make sure you’re doing things to bring them into reality. You’re the only one who can do it, because you’re the only one who really knows what your goals are. Until you start working on them that is.
