Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Five of Swords

Five of Swords

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Don’t allow the disinterest of someone close, discourage you from creating what your soul needs. Every bouquet may have a thorn or two. Handle it carefully and you’ll still enjoy the beauty and aroma without getting hurt. You don’t need others to help you walk the path of discovery and creation. You simply need the desire to walk forward one step at a time.

Additional Insight:

When we place expectations on others, we’re setting them up to fail. And we fail ourselves as well, if we become upset when they don’t live up to those standards. Asking for something always puts you at risk for being turned down. That’s ok. We all have choices and when someone says no to us, we can’t become angry or upset. Sometimes being turned down is the best thing that could ever happen to you. As it pushes you to learn, change and take ownership of your own life. Continue reading

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Five of Cups

5 of Cups

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Hold onto what you have and stop crying over things you have not lost. Worry is feeding the fear you hold within and giving energy to the outcome you are trying to overcome. The more you allow that fear to take hold, the better chance you have of seeing it manifest. Focus on the blessings you have right in front of you. Along with the blessings of success you already have surrounding you. All is not lost! You have much to be grateful for.

Additional Insight:

Yes you have lost a great deal, but much of that depletion was nothing more than material things. And some were items that you’ve already forgotten about. So they weren’t really that important in the first place. But you made room for new situations to enter into your life. Opportunities where you’ve found achievement. Focus on those triumphs this week and rise above the feelings of doom.

You have put in a lot of spiritual work behind your effort to hold onto what you value. You’ve made sacrifices and let go of a great deal. These haven’t been punishments, but rather necessary changes to free you from the chains that are holding you back. Allowing you to move  forward and open your perspectives to what is possible. Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Knave of Wands – Inverted

Knave of Wands - Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Don’t spend too much time on your knees contemplating your next move. Over thinking your choices could cause you to miss opportunities you need to dive into. It’s always a good idea to think things through and determine the consequences of all your choices. But don’t make knee jerk reactions, as an alternative. And don’t take too long making decisions today or through the weekend.

Additional Insight:

There’s a lot of orange in today’s card. It might be a good time to review the meaning behind the color:
A vibrant Orange: Indicates ambition, pride, self-sufficiency.
Where as a dull Orange: A lack of warmth, but a strong desire for success and popularity.

It’s ok to be ambitious, but you also need to show those in charge that you can be decisive and make the tough choices. That means being patient and gathering information to determine the scope of the opportunities that have been brought to you. But it doesn’t mean taking so long that you put the deal in jeopardy. Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Queen of Wands – Inverted

Queen Of Wands - Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Don’t fan the flames of deceit. If someone made the choice to lie, it’s not your responsibility to back them up. In fact, it could be the worst thing for you to do. No matter how much you care about them, don’t stick your neck out on the line. They’re going through some hardships, but trying to lie the way through it, is not the answer. And you’re liable to be taken down with them.

Additional Insight:

It’s hard when we watch our family or close friends falter. But trying to deceive others isn’t going to make things better. Everyone must own up to their mistakes and be accountable for their actions. No matter how small or large they are, their choice is not yours to answer for. You can’t learn life’s lessons for others. Nor can you pay the karma they’ve created for themselves. Let them go if they can’t understand your need to step away.

You’ve been through enough on your own path. And you’re trying hard to change things around for the better. Don’t let them drag you back 10 steps where you were down at your worst. No matter what they did for you in the past, you’re walking forward and getting involved in something shady will destroy everything you’ve worked to improve. Continue reading

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Five of Cups – Inverted

Five Of Cups-Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

It’s ok to let the old things you don’t need fall away. Some of those items or people might be hard to let go. But you don’t need them in your life any longer. Mourn the loss today, as it’s a healthy release of the old energy from the past. But don’t let it pull you down and lose everything you’ve worked hard to change. You deserve better and you still have a great deal of success surrounding you right now. Some of which may still be in the works of manifestation.

Additional Insight:

Cups represent the essence of Emotions & Apathy, Happiness & Despair, Abundance & Lack.
While Yellow represents Success, Creativeness, Jealousy, & Selfishness.

An inverted card doesn’t necessarily mean the message of the day is negative or at odds with your hope for a good insight. Sometimes it’s a way for the Divine to remind us there are many ways to look at things. That we need a new perspective to see what’s really going on around us. And in the energy we’re creating for our future.  Continue reading

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Two of Pentacles – Inverted

Two of Pentacles - Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Things are moving up, even though you don’t feel like they are. You’re not losing what you’re worried about. You’re gaining ground, even though it’s slow and taking time. There’s no need to hoard and ration. Live within your means right now and things will get better by the end of this month.

Additional Insight:

Events rarely happen right on time and when we want. But they do come around when we need them the most. Hold on and keep moving forward so you don’t fall back on old fears and worry. Everything is moving right along in its right time and place.

You’ve become an expert at rationing, be it with finances, resources or time. But that’s about to be over and your pantry will be over flowing with abundance. Don’t worry so much about what you have in the coffers. You’ll have exactly what you need to get through the week. Continue reading

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Ten of Wands

10 of Wands

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Keep your mouth shut today. Your words will not be taken the way you intended and it could get you in trouble. Even if you have something to say that rights a wrong or exposes an injustice, this is not the day to speak up. Lay low and you’ll avoid conflict. There will be time later in the week to speak up, in the right time and place. And more importantly to the right person.

Additional Insight:

If you speak up too soon you could get your facts wrong or tell the wrong person. Hold off and make sure you know who the players are and what’s really going on. There’s magik afoot in today’s activities, but you must be patient and let it play out a little longer.

Some around you are not in a good mood. Trying to be the life of the party and share a joke or make light of a situation isn’t going to get the reaction you want or expected. So it’s best to simply hide away for the day and focus on your own list of things to do and get a lot done. Continue reading

The Full Moon In The Southern Hemisphere

"Merlin In The Moon" by Springwolf 🐾

“Merlin In The Moon” by Springwolf 🐾

What Is The Name Of The Moon

As with all things in the world, where you are located will dictate how you associate this to that. Meaning and names of objects like the Moon vary around the world. Cultures assign names to each full moon based on their traditions, climate, animals, crops and how they view the world around them. There isn’t one complete list of this to that anywhere or for anything. There are many.

When it comes to Full Moon names, you can’t simply take a set of names from the North, reverse them and apply them to the South. This assumes we all look at things the same way through the same eyes. Imagine a Native American from the Cherokee Nation applying their moon names to the Aboriginal moon phases in Australia. It probably wouldn’t make sense to the folks who live down under.

But because Europeans settled in both the North and South, many of the moon names traveled with them to new lands and continents. In many ways this does a dis-service to the original peoples of the land in question and the names they came to know and associate with the Moon phases. Like the Tribal Nations in America, each group has its own language. The most common reference for the moon is Alkina and it’s associated with female energy. But try to find which Aboriginal Nation uses that word. I didn’t have any luck at all. Many words for the moon in other nations associate the moon with masculine energy. And that’s just Australia.

The Maori are the first people of New Zealand. They brought their Polynesian Mythology and the name of Moon with them to the land of the Kiwis. Here the Moon gets her name from the Goddess Marama, who governs the Moon and Death.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Knave of Wands

Knave of Wands

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

It’s ok to hide under the mushrooms and think. You don’t have to be the center of attention or the class clown that makes everyone laugh. Let everyone else fend for themselves today and you take care of you. Get some rest, relax and do some frivolous thinking through the weekend. You’ll feel better by Monday.

Additional Insight:

Hidden under the shrooms is a lot of fertile ground. You can do some good thinking under there. So it’s ok if you want some space and feel the need to be alone. But let others know you’re not mad at them, or their liable to think the worst and imagine all sorts of things.

Today you can hide away and get some things done that have been piling up. Through the weekend, pull the covers up, stay warm and get some extra sleep. You’ve earned it and more importantly you may need it to stay off a cold. It’s ok to think of yourself right now. But don’t suffer in silence or others may not understand your need for rest.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Judgement

Major Arcana Judgement

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Don’t be afraid to call out for what you need. Asking for help isn’t a sign of weakness. It takes courage to admit you need assistance. Stop thinking you’re a burden or you’re going to be judged harshly. Those fears will only create negative interactions. Toot your own horn and describe the accomplishments you’ve made. You’ll find the help you need, because you deserve it and you’ve earned it.

Additional Insight:

To often we don’t want to appear weak in the eyes of others. So we suffer in silence, or feel those close to us should simply know we need assistance. And when it doesn’t come, we turn the judgement on them and tell ourselves ‘they don’t care’.

We put way too much value on the judgements of others. They don’t define who we are, unless we give up that control over our own life. Their opinions really have no assessment to our current situation, path or life. They’re not perfect and have their own flaws and lessons to face and learn. The only judgement that matters is what you think of yourself.
