Don’t be afraid to call out for what you need. Asking for help isn’t a sign of weakness. It takes courage to admit you need assistance. Stop thinking you’re a burden or you’re going to be judged harshly. Those fears will only create negative interactions. Toot your own horn and describe the accomplishments you’ve made. You’ll find the help you need, because you deserve it and you’ve earned it.
To often we don’t want to appear weak in the eyes of others. So we suffer in silence, or feel those close to us should simply know we need assistance. And when it doesn’t come, we turn the judgement on them and tell ourselves ‘they don’t care’.
We put way too much value on the judgements of others. They don’t define who we are, unless we give up that control over our own life. Their opinions really have no assessment to our current situation, path or life. They’re not perfect and have their own flaws and lessons to face and learn. The only judgement that matters is what you think of yourself.
Stop being afraid over what others think. Stop living your life by the standards set by those who place their views over everyone else. These are standards that no one can meet! Not even those who have the gall to set them. You are perfection, the impeccable embodiment of the Divine source in this place, in this time and for your life, lessons and mission. No one else can achieve the goals your spirit has set for your soul to accomplish and work through. Stop worrying about being judged by others and start living your life on your terms.
If that means you need a little help, then ask for it. Don’t expect others to know what you need. Don’t get upset if they tell you ‘no’, they can’t help right now. Everyone has their own challenges to deal with and sometimes adding one more thing can overwhelm anyone. You’re “asking”, not “demanding” and sometimes that means others aren’t able to help in the way you want. But they might try to help in a way you need. So try to be gracious and appreciate the blessings that do come your way.
Remember we receive what we give. Helping others opens the door to receiving help when you need it. But just because others know you’re struggling right now, doesn’t mean they know you need something. So get over the pride and fear of asking for assistance. It doesn’t make you less than who you are. Nor will it be met with harsh judgements from those who care about you. It’s merely part of the community of life when we share our energy and support of others. And you deserve that support as much as the next person.
