You can’t hide under the mushrooms and avoid the conflict stirring around you. Running away doesn’t solve the problem. In fact, today and this weekend, it could put you at a great disadvantage. Be calm, but speak up for yourself. Don’t let others try to bully you out of a position you worked hard to acquire.

Bullies always have ulterior motives. They want to push you around so they feel better about themselves. They don’t want to do the work that goes behind being dependable, they want others to do it for them. And if they can’t hover over your work, they fear the perception that they’re not doing a good job or getting things done.

When they stand on their own, they lose the courage to stand up for themselves. They always have henchmen doing their bidding. Don’t focus on the messengers, they’re not the real issue.
