Updates To Reflections

Undergoing Some Renovations

We’re Making Updates To Springwolf’s Reflections

It’s been a long time since we’ve updated our articles here on Reflections. Primarily because of the health issues Spring went through in 2016 and early 2017. During that time, Spring and her family moved from Virginia to the Foothills of North Carolina. She officially retired. And has spent the past two-three years recovering from those crisis events.

One of the things that happened during that time, was closing the spiritual center Spring’s Haven. Which also meant shutting down the center’s website. We’re in the process of moving most of the articles from the Center’s website to the Reflections blog here. That means updating articles, our contents list and more. We hope to have the full transition completed by the end of this year. But it’s a work in process.

We’ve also decided to publish these articles with somewhat random dates spread out over the last two years. Primarily because we’ve lost the original publication dates from the Haven website. And we also thought spreading the articles out might make it easier for those new to Reflections to scan through the blog’s past articles as they scroll down and down. Ok, we don’t have a good reason, we just think it’s a good idea, so we’re going with it. 😉

Oh and we’ve upgraded our WordPress plan to remove some of the annoying ads on our site. What’s left are the ones we get money for displaying, ie: the WordAds. The money they generate help us cover the costs of our blog, so we hope you can over look those as your travel through Reflections.

If you are following our blog and have requested email updates about our new articles, you’ll probably feel over run with notifications. We apologize to anyone who feels overwhelmed by that. There’s not much we can do to temporarily suspend notifications.

We’ll be posting a weekly status of the updates we’re making. So if you’re not receiving notifications, you’ll know what we’ve been doing. This week, we’re starting with the Meditation guides from the Haven. Stay tuned.

Sunset Rituals

Why Pagan Rituals Begin at Sunset

Why are Pagan holidays observed at Sunset on the night before the dates listed in most Pagan calendars? The early calendars used by ancient Pagans were based on lunar cycles, not solar cycles. A day did not begin at midnight or with the sunrise, but rather with the night and moon rise.

To the ancient pagans, night fall was the beginning of the new day and rituals would be celebrated as the Goddess Grand Mother Moon rose in the sky to greet her children.

In ancient times, calendars served as a link between the Divine universe and humankind. Thus calendars were often held as sacred tools or sources of information. These early calendars provided instructions for when to plant, hunt or migrate between cold and warm climates. They were used for divination and prognostication, as well as, for tracking religious cycles to honor the Gods or worship the Divine universe. Continue reading

Our PodCast begins in the first week of October 2019, and the will be available for download for Free on iTunes, Stitcher, Spreaker or listen directly from our website at aenigmaproject.com.

Merry Solstice – 2019 Spring Equinox

Mystic Moon by WPNature

Spring Equinox 2019 in Northern Hemisphere will be at 5:58 PM on Wednesday, March 20. Eastern Time.

This year, the first equinox coincides with a full moon. For Pagans this heightens the energy for both the Equinox holiday and the observance of the full moon.

The same conjunction happened just a short three years ago in 2016. Find out more about how you can incorporate the special occurrence in your own ritual observance, Spring Equinox and the Full Moon.

Happy Thanksgiving – 2018

It’s Thanksgiving Again

We would like to extend our thanks to all of you for visiting our blog throughout this past year.
And we send out A Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours for a wonderful and happy Celebration!

“In the 19th century, the modern Thanksgiving holiday started to take shape. In 1846, Sarah Josepha Hale, editor of a magazine called Godley’s Lady’s Book, campaigned for an annual national thanksgiving holiday after a passage about the harvest gathering of 1621 was discovered and incorrectly labeled as the first Thanksgiving.

It wasn’t until 1863, when President Abraham Lincoln declared two national Thanksgivings; one in August to commemorate the Battle of Gettysburg and the other in November to give thanks for “general blessings.” ~ National Geographic: The First Thanksgiving.

Many Blessings during this holiday season!
