Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: The Devil

The Devil

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Be careful of your thoughts today. What you think matters as much as what you say and do. You don’t have to speak the angry or mean words to give them energy. You’re thoughts will do that all on their own. Only they won’t harm what or who you’re thinking about. Instead they’ll be detrimental to your own inner self. Change your thoughts and you’ll change your day.

Additional Insight:

Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become your character.
And watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.
What we think, we become.
~ Frank Outlaw

Even if you’re only thinking something negative and not saying it, the thought will penetrate your actions and reactions. Whether you’re thinking unkind thoughts about someone or about yourself, it’s an unwise thing to do.

Don’t simply try not to listen to the negative voice. Knock the devil off your shoulder and get rid of it all together. Change your thought patterns from put downs to build ups. Stop focusing on the things you don’t like and start looking at the things you do.

If you don’t like the way you look, change it. Instead of getting upset about “I’m too fat”, focus on your beautiful eyes and start a routine of walking. Instead of “this acne makes me so ugly”, try “wow my hair looks good today” and find some acne wipes to wash your face with during the day.

If your inner talk is about someone else, you should look in a mirror and make those same comments. The bad talk you hold for others, is really talk you’re doing to yourself. Things you don’t like about you. You know you do the same thing, but perhaps you haven’t noticed it or it’s not on the same exaggerated scale. But you most definitely do the same thing.

Stop the intolerance and hate! It serves no purpose than to destroy the beauty life has placed around you. It only makes you become that which you don’t like. If you can’t see the beauty around you, then it’s time to start looking with better eyes.

“What we think we become” ~ Buddha

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Ace of Wands – Inverted

Ace of Wands - Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

You can ground yourself to the center of the earth and find the energy to light your life from within. Shining as a beacon that others want to be around. Setting a strong root that will support you through the dark times as they ebb in flow in life. Or you can hide in the shadows, expecting others to make you happy and finding yourself alone in the darkness. Only You can make You happy. Stop looking at others to do it for you.

Additional Insight:

When we look for others to bring the energy of joy and laughter, we lose the ability to find happiness in the little things we experience each and every day. Each time they walk away, or they’re not around, they take their light of happiness with them. Leaving us in the dark, faltering in the shadows.

You make the choices for how you feel and what mood you’re going to be in at any given moment. You can express sadness when others are around, just as you can let the tears flow when you’re alone.

So why can’t you express happiness when you’re alone too? It’s not hard to take a moment and smile at your own joke or funny thought. To laugh at the cat or dog playing by your side. You can make the choice to be in a good mood no matter what challenges you face; because in the end you know you’ll get by.

Stop looking at the negative aspects in the situations surrounding you and look at the positive elements they bring to your life. And yes, there are even positive things in losing a job, dropping your cell phone in the toilet, or riding your bike because you can’t afford gas.

Change brings sadness in what was, but it brings joy in what can be. Your perspective determines which wolf you feed, the one that’s sad or angry about the past. Or the one that’s excited and happy about the future.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Three of Cups

3 of Cups

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

You’ll find strength in threes today. Be it three friends, a family of three, the three aspects of self (mind/body/spirit) or a combination of these three. Things are not as bad as you’re fearing them to be. You will be able to celebrate in March, simply be cautious until it gets here.

Additional Insight:

Stop thinking you have to do everything all alone. If you need help, ask for it. If others owe you something, stand up for yourself and fight for it. There’s strength in numbers and there’s no better number than three.

It is the number of spirit, the whole (mind/body,spirit), wisdom and enlightenment and bringing empowerment. It’s that unity of self with the Divine force in your life that brings you the strength to not only endure, but to rise above and succeed.

From Shamanistic Numerology:
Three denotes intelligence and a unique ability to understand all sides. Because of this it’s a number of justice or fairness; being able to balance out all sides of an argument and working out the best for all sides. It’s a great number to have for those in the spiritual or legal professions.

It’s also great to have on your side when dealing with legal issues, spiritual matters or implementing ideas that are well thought out.  Turn you day into a day of success instead of a day of dread. Stop worrying and start implementing your plan for dealing with the issues at hand.

It’s a good day to remember this years motto too!

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Five of Cups – Inverted

Five Of Cups-Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Be careful over the weekend not to let your emotions get the best of you. You’re liable to let the self-pity create an emotional situation that isn’t warranted. Don’t try false means to improve your out look either. Keep your abundance in your cups for safe keeping and find other ways to turn that gloomy mood around.

Additional Insight:

It’s easy to allow the clouds to get to you and impact your emotions and mood. Consider alternatives to turning things around that don’t involve shopping or quick fix meaningless gratification. Those spending spree’s may be the worst answer to your problem. Now is not the time to spring for a big party and invite everyone you know to wipe out the cupboards.

It’s easy to shut yourself inside because it’s cold outside. But getting out in the fresh air is probably one of the best things you can do for your mood. Up here in the northern hemisphere – bundle up and go for walk. The human race spent 80% of its time outside in the past, there’s no reason you can’t get out there today. Down in the southern hemisphere you can grab an umbrella and still get outside.

Take a walk, listen to the wind floating between the leaves and playing nature’s song. Be quiet and you’ll be able to hear the trees singing along. You might catch the sound of squirrels playing or you might see something you’ve never dreamed of experiencing. Let Mother Nature show you the wonders of her magikal world and the beauty of her seasons. She has a lot to share and much of it will make you smile.

If you’re really in a place where you can’t get out, talk to your local pharmacy about acquiring a lamp that helps with Seasonal Affective Disorder (not enough sun light). Bring the sun inside and trick your eyes out of the dark gloom. Or force yourself to smile, even though you don’t feel like it. It really does change your mood around. Stand in front of your mirror, with the lights on and say “I love you”. If you can’t do that to your own reflection, how are other people going to see that you are worth loving!

Come on! Snap out of it! The world really isn’t against you as much as you’re making it out to be.  You decide what mood you want to be in, so decide to make it a calm content one if you can’t make it a smiling happy one. So stop it and get off your butt and make the day into what YOU want it to be!

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Seven of Pentacles

Seven of Pentacles

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Go for  the low hanging fruit first. Don’t spin your wheels trying to grab the big prize and run out of resources while you’re reaching. Take note of the little events that occur all around you during the day. They may bring unexpected opportunities that help you grab the little successes that are hanging all around you. They will keep you going as things pick up and carry you to the bigger rewards down the road.

Additional Insight:

Sometimes we get so focused on the big events that we miss all the little opportunities along the way. Stop and smell the roses isn’t just a euphemism that’s nice to think about. It has value and truth to it as well.

Those little stops bring you little successes. Those little successes can fund the next section of your journey. Each one building on the previous accomplishment takes you higher up the ladder where you can finally reach for, and more importantly attain your bigger goals or dreams.

The big events don’t come along very often in life. If you wait for them to happen to celebrate, you’ll miss out on a lot of little things that you can’t get back. So don’t move on down the road and think I wish I had stopped to see that when…; or I had an opportunity to do that once.

Those regrets may make it harder for you to reach for that brass ring because you could have made a contact, created an opportunity out of the little event that would have gotten you to the brass ring quicker. Or maybe you would have learned a valuable lesson or acquire much-needed information that makes all the difference to your own personal journey.

Don’t be afraid to stop and listen to musician in the subway station. Or watch the grounds keepers cut a pattern in the grass.  Sometimes it’s the little things in life, that make life interesting.

20130220-GrassDesign

Every wonder how they make those patterns in the grass?
3-Time Sprint Cup Champion Tony Stewart did too.
Stop and take note of the little things in life. They’re what make life interesting.

What Matters Most…

CompassionDo You Reflect What You Believe?

Those who slap you on the back and laugh with you may be fair weather friends.

Those who hold your hand and cry with you are where true friendship lies.

And if you’re lucky, you’ll find the people who will share your life with you, through the laughs and through the tears no matter when and where you are.

What matters most, is that you’re one of those friends to those in your life.

I spoke with a friend today who was down and almost in tears. Turns out a friend of his, a young boy with cancer, lost his battle with the disease and my friend was notified today.

My friend…we’ll call him Anthony to protect everyone’s privacy..had meet the young boy; we’ll call him Steven, at a racing event. Anthony as it happens is a race car driver. Steven was a big fan of dirt racing and for some time he wanted to meet his home town hero; Anthony. Continue reading

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Seven of Cups – Inverted

Seven of Cups - InvertedCaution is warranted today. Listen to your instincts. Someone with unclear motives is watching you from the shadows. Don’t spend your time trying to look into your crystal ball and ignore what’s around you. Doing so might cause you to miss the signs of danger. Change things up today. Take some work to lunch and get some things done out of your office.  Take a different road home, have tea with a friend, or go for a walk through the mall. Get out of your head, and into your body.

Additional Insight:

While you’re searching for answers, don’t become so engulfed in your own world that you ignore the world around you. You can sense when something isn’t right. Listen to those instincts and be watchful.

It maybe nothing, but then again it’s better to be safe than sorry. Whither it’s from being distracted at work and not getting the job done. Spending too much time day dreaming and not giving attention to solving the issues that are in front of you. Or ignoring your surroundings and putting yourself in physical danger. Spending too much time in your heart and not in your head could create a situation that you would rather not have experienced.

Remember life is about balance. Too much of anything isn’t good for you. Putting energy toward your dreams, self-improvement or relaxation is ok in its right time and place. But you’re still part of the physical world that also requires attention. Don’t get so focused on spirit, that you forget to live your life.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: The World

The World

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Be proud of your crowning achievement. It’s your legacy to the world. Whither it’s your children, something you’ve created, or even your reputation among your family, friends and piers. You have worked so hard to create your legacy. Use it as your strength to stand tall and persevere.

Additional Insight:

Going through trials and challenges can be difficult. But each step you take builds strength. Sometimes we need to remember what we have already created in order to use that strength to get through the next doorway.

You have worked hard to create the person within you. And while you may have additional items you want to change and improve, you have already come a very long way.

It’s important to remember that it takes a great deal of courage to look within and be honest with yourself. To make an effort to change the things you don’t like and put the effort into creating the things you do like. Whither that’s becoming a better parent, spouse, friend, boss, or simply a better person; it’s the effort and attention you put into the work that makes the difference.

Be proud of yourself and what you have created in your life. You deserve the self recognition and confidence it brings. So when those days arrive that you need a little extra boost of energy, you can look within, remember who you are and stand tall over the accomplishments and goals you have already achieved.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: The Magician – Inverted

The Magician Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

As above so below. If you’re scattered in your thinking, you’ll be scattered in your actions. It maybe hard to focus today. Be careful! That may create a problem for tomorrow that will be more difficult to solve. Take some time to get grounded and organize your thinking. If you do, you’ll turn the mess into magik!

Additional Insight:

Whither it’s from lack of sleep or feeling overwhelmed, you must take time to get your energy back in balance today. There’s too much on your plate this week and you want everything to go smoothly.

It only takes 5 minutes to close your eyes, take in 3 deep breaths and clear the stress and clutter from your mind. Imagine a shimmering silver cord move up from your solar plexus (where your rib cage meets at the bottom), traveling up your spine, out the top of your head, through the ceiling, the roof, the clouds and into the depths of the Universe. Imagine the energy of the Divine force in your life attaching to your silver cord and quickly traveling though it. Imagine it gently entering into your head, moving slowly to your solar plexus and filling up your body with the pure white light of Divine creative energy.

Next see a second silver cord moving from your solar plexus down your spine, through the chair, the floor, the bed rock and plugging into the center core of Mother Earth. Imagine her relaxing yellow grounding energy move up the cord and gently enter your body, moving in concert with the white Divine light and filling your physical body. Don’t mix these colorful energies into one. Rather see them both swirling within and growing in strength and size with each breath you take.

Imagine they’re pushing out the stress, anxiety and tiredness from your body, like a gray smoke that’s released into the atmosphere. Imagine this gray negative energy dissipating, no longer doing harm to anyone. Now you are engulfed with balanced energy. Use it wisely today.

Think things through before you take action. If you need to write out your thoughts, make sure you read it over, and over, and over again, before you put it into action or send it out to the world. You may be saving your own neck by taking the extra time and effort.

Relax and focus. Tomorrow will be a better day because you took your time and paid attention.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Queen of Wands – Inverted

Queen Of Wands - Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Set your sights on the fall and primarily October. All the work you’re doing will come to fruition and you’ll finally feel like things have turned around. That doesn’t mean you need to worry about things till then. Just the opposite. Know that you have a little more to do in order for everything to be fully manifested.

Additional Insight:

Wands represent magik, creative energy, inspiration, and enterprise. Reversed they can indicate issues with any of these components.

Several times this winter you’ve started to get discouraged and depressed because things aren’t moving along as quickly as you desire. You’ve been reminded from several sources that others have a part to play in your success and they have their piece of the puzzle to complete. This is the ‘enterprise’ of your project or plans.

Things are moving more quickly, but there’s still work to be done. Both on your part and on the part of others you’re depending on. Your creative energy still needs to be inspired and tended to.

Don’t give up! Implement the ideas you’ve had in the back of your head and get things moving on your end. You still have your own things to work on and give energy to. You still have plans to get ready to hit the ground running when it’s time. There’s no reason to think anything is done or over with or that you’ve failed.

Everything happens in its right time. It’s hard for us to see what that is sometimes and why we’re seemingly made to continue to suffer. That type of thinking is part of the reason. You’re thoughts are creating the blocks. Stop it! You can do this! But you must stop the negative thoughts that are creating reverse actions and delaying your progress.

Please remember; You CAN do this! Because you are one with the Divine creative energy of the Universe around you.
