A Divine star is shining over your basket today. Abundance is all around you, all you need do is open your eyes and see it. You don’t have to search for it, you don’t have to wait for its arrival. It’s already there. The question is, which kind of abundance do you place more value upon? The material kind, or the abundance of spirit, family and friends?

Because your Divine Self has the energy to create, you have the ability to create your day in a manner in which you desire. That in turn will create your week, your month, your year and your life. You can create happiness, success, and prosperity in Mind/Body/Spirit.

A quick note about prosperity. We’re not just talking about financial prosperity, although that is part of it. But more so, we’re talking about the prosperity of spiritual enlightenment, mental happiness, love, compassion and so on. In other words, the prosperity of all aspects of your life in both a spiritual and physical sense.

If you spend your day focusing on the lack of financial abundance and turn away from the abundance of spirit, love, compassion and health; you’ll miss out on the real blessings you have around you. Believe me, I know the hardships of an empty bank account. The worry of not being able to pay the mortgage or the electric bill when it’s cold and damp outside. I understand the lack of security associated with not being able to provide for your child, whither it be trying to get them to school, or give them a meal at night so they don’t go to bed hungry.

But even in those tough times when you think you’re at the end of your rope, remember that someone always has it worse than you do. Someone is being beaten on a daily basis. Someone is facing the dangers of living in a hostile area, worrying if their children will make it home from school. Someone in a far off land not only worries about finding food and water, but if today is the day a bomb hits what is left of their home and kills their entire family.

When we can focus on the abundance we do have, we attract more of that positive energy flow into our lives. The energy provided by our blessings can create abundance in the other areas of your life where you have lack or are struggling. Friends can help you through troubled times, hold your hand, give you an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on or even bring you a free spaghetti dinner for you and your family.

When you can give back to those friends and offer the same kindness and compassion, you expand the abundance in your life and in your day. You create opportunities for the Divine Universe to return your compassion to you in other ways, such as…financial abundance.

Sometimes giving to others, what it is you need most, is the best way to have your prayers answered and returned to you.
