Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Five of Pentacles

5 of Pentacles

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

It’s a good day to catch up on some needed rest or put some energy toward your dreams. Whether through a nap or focused meditation, close your eyes and visualize the details surrounding what you want most today. When you’re done, take a little time to write it down and draw up some plans for making it happen in reality. You know what you need to do. Today is the day to get to it!

Additional Insight:

Simply day dreaming about your ambitions isn’t going to help manifest them into reality. But it can help you build energy through working out some of the details. Meditation is great for that.

Focus your mind on the problem and ask your higher mind, and the Divine force in you life for solutions to getting it done. The hard part isn’t in the asking. We’re all good at dwelling on the problem. What’s hard is being open and listening for the answer. Then putting the answer into action.

You have the entire Universal energy on your side. That Divine Creation is never ending, always there, forever knowing what needs to be done and how to do it. And it’s waiting for you to plug into it and get the answers you need most.

What do you really want from your life today? Are you dwelling about what you don’t have? Are you expanding the energy of lack around you? Or are you ready to make things change and create abundance in your life? It’s up to you. You create what’s around you. Get started on creating your part of the world in the image you dream!

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: The Magician

The Magician

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

It’s not always good to be an open book. Sometimes you need to hide things to keep them safe from those too young to understand, or those who wish to do you harm. Knowledge and information are powerful weapons that need to be guarded. And a little sleight of hand can keep your mystery alive. It may also make you interesting and intriguing.

Additional Insight:

There is such a thing as too much information when it comes to your personal life. Be cautious about what you share and with whom you share it. Others may not appreciate the finer points of your world the way you do.

There’s a time and place for everything as well. Work is not the place to discuss religion, politics or money; unless those topics are part of your business.

Being an open book allows others to find your weaknesses and exploit them for their own purpose. So keep some of the facts and interests about yourself quiet. Don’t give any adversaries additional information about you that they maybe able to use against you. Why make it easier for them anyway?

In today’s social media world, it’s easy to become self-absorbed and narcissistic.  You don’t really need to post what you’re doing every second of the day, or every thought you have in your head. Some things really are better left unsaid, so why think they’re ok to put in writing? Remember what you put out, you get back and when you write something, you’re giving it more energy than merely thinking it.

A little mystery is exciting and those who are interested in you will want to spend time talking with you to learn more about you. Offer small amounts of insight over time. Keep the intrigue alive and you may discover you’ve developed a great new friendship.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Nine of Pentacles –

9 Of Pentacles

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Find the joy and comfort in snuggling with those you love. The most important blessings in your life are the ones that cost you nothing but emotion, patience and love. Extend a little compassion for others and the stresses they have on their shoulders. Together your little family will make it through the challenges of the weekend.

Additional Insight:

It doesn’t cost you anything to celebrate the blessings of family and those that mean the most to you. A few quiet moments to snuggle or give a hug can make a world of difference in someone’s day. Especially when that someone feels they are at the end of the line and they’re losing hope.

You may not be able to ‘fix’ the problems, but you don’t have to add to them. You can help those around you by letting them know you’re aware, you care, and you’re there to help them stand and make it through another day.

Sometimes it’s the little things that can make a difference. Be the one to fix the pot of coffee for the morning, or set the pot up the night before so it only needs to be turned on. Do the dishes or mow the lawn so the person who normally does it can have a break.

Hold onto each other and remember who you’re working so hard for. Don’t let the work take you from the focus of giving a little time and attention to the ones who need it the most. Even if the work is for them in the long run.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Nine of Swords

9 of Swords

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Even during stress and strife there’s a silver lining. Look for the higher purpose and find the strength behind its message to endure. How you perceive your situation depends on how wounded you will allow yourself to become. You can be restricted, or you can be harmed on a deeper level. The choice is up to you.

Additional Insight:

Everyone faces trials and trauma of some sort during their life. How you allow those situations to affect you will determine how deep their hurt cuts into your being. If all you see is despair, the deeper the wounds will be. But when you can rise above and see the bigger message, the easier it is to keep the deep cuts at bay.

It’s hard to do at the moment of tragedy. Everyone deals with trauma in different ways. Some dig deep, put the emotions aside and find the strength to endure and keep moving. While others allow the emotions to overwhelm them and keep them on their knees. Unable to see past the tragedy to what can be and how things will change.

By understanding the phases of grief, we can work our way through each traumatic situation in our lives, big and small, and move forward with strength and courage. The only real constant in the Divine Universe is that things change. How they change, how quickly they change, is entirely up to you.

Stop wallowing in self pity and get off your butt and get moving again. Remember someone in the world always has it worse than you. No matter how bad you think your situation is, someone else is going through something far worse and still fighting to move forward. If they can do it, you can too! Believe in yourself. Lean on the Divine Spirit you have in your life when things get tough. Pull what energy you need from that Divine presence in your life and you’ll find the energy to get up and get moving. You can do this! You simply need to take the first step.

Dealing With Trials & Grief
Going through trials and trauma are not easy for anyone. The key is to not allow the past and actions of others to control you now or your future. We can’t go back and change the things we went through. But we can learn from them and heal ourselves in the process. My motto is: “You cannot change the past. You can only change the way you allow the past to affect your present and your future.” – Click the link to read more.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Three of Pentacles

3 of Pentacles

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Abundance comes in threes. Feed your mind with knowledge, so you can attain wisdom. Feed your body with good food, so you can attain health. Feed your soul with love, so you can attain inner peace. When you take care of yourself, you have more abundance to share with those around you.

Additional Insight:

Many people look at others in judgment and recite the phrase “What you put out, you get back” as if that Universal Law doesn’t apply to them. How sadly mistaken they are.

How you treat yourself is equally important as how you treat others. If you go out of your way to give and help others, but you’re not helping yourself the cost can be great. You too are valuable and worth of attention, especially from yourself.

Don’t stand in front of the mirror and look down upon yourself wondering why you can’t find someone to love you, when you don’t even love yourself. If you’re looking for a compliment then give yourself one. If you want to hear “I love you”, then say it to yourself. If you want to look beautiful, then take care of yourself in a healthy positive way.

If you always put yourself last and think you must take care of everyone else first, then that’s what you’re putting out and what you will get back. Be kind to yourself. After all, you only have one you and you’re worth it.

I’m A Survivor

The Prayer of Strength and Endurance

strength

Everyone faces adversity in their own way. Some people yell at the top of their lungs and join the march because they’re followers and part of the mob. They don’t stop to think for themselves or discover the truth behind the inflammatory remarks from others. Sadly the internet, social media and “sharing” posts have made this all to easy and created ignorance. When you do this you become part of the ill informed community who relies on others to lead the way. Continue reading

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: King of Swords – Inverted

King of Swords - Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Strife rules the day, but don’t put all your cards on the table. Keep a few of your weapons secret for another time. Others are underestimating you and that will be their down fall. But only if you hold some of your strength  in reserve for later, when it’s really going to matter most.

Additional Insight:

Don’t allow the battles of the day to throw you into a fighting frenzy. All you will do is deplete your own resources and give the advantage to your adversary. That’s what they want you to do. They want you to throw everything out there all at once to prove you’re unstable, not capable of controlling your emotions or actions and can’t be trusted.

You will win the day by standing up for yourself under attack, but not attacking others in return. Defense is the best offense for now. Calmly state the facts to those overseeing the battleground. Explain your position in defense of yourself and pull out a few weapons that show your expertise and ability.

But keep the big guns under wraps until you need them. Let your adversary get flustered because you didn’t take the bait and fall into their trap. Let them show the anger and uncontrollable emotions. You don’t have to do anything to help them self destruct.

Remember you can’t get in a fight you want, if you don’t step on the battlefield in the first place. Walk around it and defend yourself. You’ll be the one who wins the day with a sign of strength and clarity.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Queen of Cups – Inverted

Queen of Cups - Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Even through worry and stress there are things to bring you joy. If you allow the anxiety and emotions of others to rule over your day, you lose the abundance of spirit you’ve managed to keep alive within you. The material things will not bring you happiness. But the connection of friendship and compassion will carry you through the day and weekend.

Additional Insight:

Perhaps you are struggling financially, or perhaps your best friend is in that position. Perhaps you are facing other challenges that turned your world upside down and the stress and anxiety is constantly overwhelming. Whither it was the loss of a paycheck, a natural disaster, the loss of a family member or even the simple changes in life like a separation or divorce, we all face challenges big and small throughout our lives. And no one person will face it the same way as the person standing next to them.

It’s not the “things” that bring joy to your day, the materialistic objects that have no feeling or emotion for us. It’s the connections we have to family and friends that carry us through hardships. Having someone to lean on, not for money; but for emotional support. Someone we can talk to and forget about our troubles. To put them aside for a while and find something to laugh at or smile about.

If you know someone who is struggling, don’t look at them with pity. They don’t need you looking down on them. They need someone to smile when they enter a room. They need to know they still have value and that someone is glad to see them when they’re around. There by the grace of the Divine go you.

Don’t let your narrow view of the lines in their face create the first reaction of conversation and ask them if anything has changed. Or put them on the spot to say “How are you” when you know they’re probably walking in despair waiting for the next shoe to drop. What do you expect them to say?

While you might want to share your fortunes with a friend, don’t brag about your trip to the amusement park. Don’t go on and on about the great dinner you had last night at the new restaurant in town. It maybe all they can do to walk to the local store because they don’t have money for gas and only have enough for a gallon of milk.

If you’re the one struggling, remember all things change. We may have to climb out of the potholes that form in our way, even when they’re no fault of our own. But when we remember that there is always someone in this world, who has it worse than we do, we can find the strength to go on. Let others look into your eyes and find the survivor.

People are still struggling all over the world, yet it seems the world has forgotten about them. It’s more important to talk about the latest movie star controversy, or the latest fashion misstep by some arrogant clothing store.

Don’t join the crowds who forget about the compassion and connection of spirit that we all need. Even if all you can share is a smile and a few moments of diversion, your kindness can provide the strength for someone to go on and face the challenges of their day.

“The Perspective of Struggle”
  by Springwolf
I’m sorry if my being poor makes me unworthy to be your friend. I guess since I can’t run errands or do favors for you, I no longer have value as a friend. How sad and short sighted of you.

It’s not me who constantly talks about our plight. But you who can’t see anything other than the reality of struggle when you look at me.

To bad you can’t see beyond your own disdain and look into my eyes. If you could, you’d see the strength of a survivor!

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: The Devil – Inverted

The Devil - Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Something is creeping up behind you and if you don’t watch for it, it’s going to get you. It’s ok to walk a path of positive energy, but that doesn’t mean you can ignore reality. You can’t wish or pray your problems away. It takes attention and action to deal with the challenges in life.

Additional Insight:

Even too much of a good thing can be bad for you. Putting your faith in the hands of the Divine and praying for a resolution is great. But you must follow that prayer up with real life action and work.

No little faery is going to pop into your living room and give you 3 wishes, or hand you a magikal wand for the night. “God helps those who help themselves” isn’t simply a Christian euphemism. It’s a realistic approach to being human and living on this planet.

If you don’t start trying, what you fear is going to come up behind you and bite you in the butt. Don’t act all surprised when it happens. Ignoring it will not make it go away.

Stop waiting for someone to save you and start working to save yourself. Aren’t you worth the effort?
