Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: The Fool

The Fool

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Don’t be taken for a fool. Someone close by is trying to distract your attentions so you don’t see what’s really going on. Be careful you don’t use your resources and tools like toys. This isn’t a game. It’s great to have fun and be silly once in a while. But there’s an appropriate time and place for play. Trust your instincts and stop the negative self talk that’s repeating what the manipulators are putting in your head. You know when to pay attention to the warning signs and when to let go and relax. Make sure you’re choosing the right time to accomplish both, when it’s best for you.

Additional Insight:

The one trying to manipulate you could be trying to get something past you without your knowledge. Or they maybe unreliable, a person who can’t be counted on, because they’re easily distracted from doing what they should be focused on.

Don’t let the immaturity of others take you away from what you’ve been trying to build over the past few years or months. You’ve worked too hard to allow one mistake to tear it all down. And that could easily happen if you shirk your responsibilities or abuse the tools you’ve been given to use on this path.

Don’t listen to the guilt trip, the pleas to have fun, or the put downs that you don’t care about your friends or family. You know good and well those statements aren’t true. Someone who cares about you wouldn’t manipulate you in this manner in the first place. They would know how important your mission has been to change things for the better, and wouldn’t try to demean your efforts. So ask, are they really your friend? Continue reading

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Two of Cups

Two of Cups

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Gifts show up from the most unlikely places. It maybe a surprise on several fronts, but be gracious. Someone took time to think about you and made a gesture of kindness and caring. You may not want the attachment they are offering with the gift, so be up front and honest without being cruel. Remember what you put out, you will receive in return.

Additional Insight:

Sometimes gifts are given as a manner of respect. They come as a reward for hard work. They come as a sign of devotion from a family member or loved one. They can be an apology from a friend or someone important in your life. They can even come from an admirer.

What ever the reason, don’t make light of the gift and shun the person giving it. They took time to share their emotions and that takes courage in some situations. If it’s a present from someone you’re not interested in, let them know you appreciate their kindness, but make it clear you cannot accept the entanglements that come with the present. And perhaps give them kudos for having the guts to express their kindness toward you. It really did take guts.

Ask if they still want to give it to you and accept it graciously if they do. Or if you feel uneasy about accepting it, make sure you express your gratitude with kindness and respect, but let them know you don’t feel right about accepting their offering and put the blame on yourself. “It would make me feel as though I’m taking advantage of you and I don’t want it to appear that way to you either”. Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: The Tower – Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Set your rocket on target and light ‘er up! Let go of the darkness that has kept you rooted and weighted down in the negativity of the past. It’s time to take off and rise up above the doom and gloom, to welcome the expanded vista before you. Just let go of the fear and allow the Divine within you to fly. Take in the sights and sounds of adventure and get ready for a wondrous ride! You’re going to thrilled and in awe!

Additional Insight:

Why are you resisting so much? Why are you so afraid of the change you’ve created and have wanted so badly that you’re holding on to the roots that are keeping you from attaining it? You can’t move forward until you let go so your rocket and take off. Trust in yourself and the hard work you’ve done! Allow your rocket to take off and start your journey upward.

If you keep working on activities that belong in the past, you take away time from the things that will take you into the future. Those old things will not provide stability, nor will they give you a security blanket. They’ll simply hold you back and divert your energy, focus and efforts toward someone else’s success or goals.

If you keep asking “When is it going to be my turn”, you’re never going to get one. You’re the only one who has the answer to that question. So when is it going to be your turn? Who is more important here, you or the demands of others that continually ignore your contributions.

You want to be appreciated so, appreciate yourself and your own skills. You want to be respected, so respect yourself. You want to be looked up to, so look up to yourself. You want to be the one who leads the way and inspires others. So start leading your own way and inspiring yourself! When you begin to hold yourself up in the lime light, others will take notice and you become the star of your own show! But you must believe in yourself and let go of the stage fright first!

You have the knowledge, wisdom and means to move the bar and set the destination to a higher standard. Put it into practice and listen to your own positive self talk. You CAN do this. So get to it.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Temperance –

Temperance

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

As success surrounds you, let your nurturing side flow to inspire others. Let go of all the little frustrations and temper your anger. Things are going your way and you don’t want to slow things down by putting on the breaks and dragging the anchors of the past. Let the wind fill your wings and revel in the warm breeze that encourages you to dream.

Additional Insight:

This is one of my favorite cards in the Faery Tarot Deck. This morning I said “Let me pick a happy card” and ta-da!

So today is a day to smile. Allow yourself to let go of all the frustrations that build up and annoy you. If you don’t, you’re more likely to attract more events that try your patience, than those moments of calm, peace and inspiration.

Inspiration has been a big theme with me this year. And it certainly shows up here in one of my favorite cards. Spend today nurturing others to find their inspiration, dream their dreams and reach for their goals. You’ve spent so much time turning things around for your path and your inner self and you’ve seen success coming your way. That’s great! Now you can speak from experience and share what you have done to get the ball moving for you. Continue reading

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: The World

The World

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

When you balance your physical and spiritual natures, you’ll rule the World. Well not literally, but you will be able to achieve what you need and be crowned with respect and honor. Allow yourself to heal old wounds and forgive yourself for letting others control your perspective of who you are. Express the same love for self that you do for those things in your life that bring out your passion. You can achieve your dreams, when you live in balance and respect with all things; including yourself.

Additional Insight:

Stop listening to the negative talk that has been programmed into the back of your mind. The opinions of others and their view of you is not what defines who and what you are. Your thoughts and actions do that. And there’s a big difference between constructive criticism and abusive meanness.

Don’t put yourself down and pass judgement on your past actions. You can’t go back and change the things that have happened in your life, but you can learn from them and move on. Forgive yourself for the choices you made that you wish you hadn’t. Forgive yourself for allowing others to control your perspectives of the world around you and of yourself. Their fear and one-sided view doesn’t tell the whole story and deep down you know that. Continue reading

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Knight of Cups

Knight Of Cups

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Be proud of yourself and what you have accomplished. Celebrate a bit this weekend. But don’t over do it. Your focus is still needed to be watchful and be on guard to protect what you’ve gained. Some will try to respond to you the way they always have. Don’t let them push your buttons or give into their games. You’ve worked hard to make a difference in your own life and change your path to the positive. Stick to it and stand tall! Good for you, keep it going.

Additional Insight:

You’ve made a big effort to turn this around and change the path of negativity, illness and struggle around. You’ve consciously stopped yourself from saying things you know you shouldn’t. Or acting and reacting in certain ways that have not served you well in the past. And it really has made a difference on your path and you may have noticed that this week. Have you? Did a big surprise come to you this week? Or did you receive an unexpected pat on the back? Or a message of acknowledgement for all your efforts?

Then take a little time to acknowledge your hard work and celebrate your efforts. They deserve to be recognized. But when someone around you tries to criticize you for it, don’t take the bait and fall into old habits. Simply respond “I’ve earned it and this is my new way to celebrate”. They don’t have to like it, it’s not their celebration. But calmly and proudly stand up for yourself.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: King of Wands

King of Wands

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Magik and creativity are flowing today. Use your wisdom to be just and fair in your dealings with others. Take time to use your position with authority, but make sure you aren’t being a dictator until you discover all the information that maybe available. Use your insight and gut feelings. You’ll discover the truth and then you’ll be able to make the right decision for you.

Additional Insight:

Being the one that others look up to, or look toward for making the right decisions isn’t an easy job. Whither you’re a parent, a boss, or the head of a crafting group, you’ll be asked to resolve conflict when it arises.

Don’t take it lightly. And don’t let others try to tell you what’s going on from their side of the disagreement. You may not want to be on that pedestal, but you’re there and now you’re going to have to use balance and judgement to discover the whole story on both, and maybe on all sides of the table.

Remember there’s always three tales to be discovered. Side A, Side B and the truth that exists somewhere in the middle. If you set your emotions aside and don’t get drawn into your own conflicts of ego, you’ll be able to find out what’s really happening. Be ready for any constructive criticism on your part, but also remember that when people are angry, they’re going to take it out on the person who has the authority to end the conflict. Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Queen of Swords

Queen of Swords

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Have the strength and courage to play your music, your way. Don’t change who you are to satisfy the whims of others, or to make those less confident feel good about themselves. You spent a long time searching for your voice. Use it with love and compassion, but with determination to stand up for yourself. No one knows you, better than you do. If you’re not standing up for yourself, who else will?

Additional Insight:

Everyone has room for improvement, something to learn and areas to grow. But make sure the critique you’re getting is honest and coming from someone who actually knows what they’re talking about. Even then, their expertise might not fit your vision of what you want to become and how you want to implement your dream. Be careful you don’t give up your integrity for what might appear to be a short cut.

Keep in mind those that put you down may not be giving you honest feedback to help you get better. They maybe trying to manipulate you out of fear of losing you. You can show compassion and attempt to ease their fears, help them heal from their past battles and find their own confidence. In both themselves and in you. So be careful you’re not feeding their fears, but rather supporting their confidence.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Knave of Pentacles – Inverted

Knave of Pentacles - Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

It’s not a day to be cute and coy. That sheepish and childish character will not win friends, or gain the attention of the person you want to notice you. Maturity with a sense of fun and adventure will attract the people you want to have around you. You can be smart, confident and act like an adult and still be someone who knows how to enjoy the moment and have fun. Don’t change who you are so that someone else can feel good about themselves. That never works out in the end!

Additional Insight:

Acting childish can cost you much more prosperity and abundance than you can spare right now. It can also impact your chances to improve those things in the future for your own stability as well. Now is not the time to react to situations like a child. Nor will those types of actions gain the favor of others whose attentions you’re trying to attain.

No matter what your age, as an adult you should have a sense of responsibility, accountability and maturity about you. That doesn’t mean you have to be a stuffed shirt and can’t laugh or have a good time. But remember there are extremes to everything, even to having fun. Too much of anything is rarely good. And sometimes, timing really IS everything!

Being coquettish is not an attribute that holds its appeal for very long.  Confidence and being self-assured are attractive traits for an adult. They indicate that you can get through anything and be counted on when needed. There’s nothing worse than a 40+man who still acts like he’s invincible with a high school humor. Or a woman who still wants to spread the latest gossip about the next door neighbor or act naive and gullible about everyday life.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Nine of Wands – Inverted

9 of Wands Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Keep your mouth shut today! You’re only hearing half the story, if that. You’re being used and manipulated in an unjust cause. Don’t get in the middle of situations and you’ll walk through the day with ease. Allow your self to be pushed toward one side of the battlefield over the other and you’ll be the one who gets carried off with the wounded. Control your temper, your assumptions and your words! They all have energy that you can’t take back once they have been released.

Additional Insight:

Someone near you has been trying to manipulate and scheme for several months now. Their previous attempts have not worked out in their favor as yet, but they are still working on undermining others for their own gains. Be cautious about your reactions to what you’re told and make sure you’re getting the entire story!

Better yet, try not to get involved at all. It might be none of your business and your part in their war is to be a pawn who can be sacrificed with ease. Don’t let “friends” try to guilt you into being on their side. Loyalty runs both ways. True friends don’t put others in danger for their petty arguments or underhanded schemes. Ask yourself, if this goes wrong, will they be there for you? The answer is probably going to be a resounding “No”.
