You don’t have to bite back to make your feelings known. Show a little of your teeth and others will get the message when they’ve crossed the line. Be calm today and don’t over react. Sometimes a quip and a smile is nothing more than an attempt at levity. You’ll know when someone is being serious and needs to be put in their place. Trust your instincts and don’t allow the trappings to distract you or cause you to feel weak or self-conscious. You’re too smart to fall for the lines that are disingenuous and designed to manipulate.

Additional Insight:

Control your temper and stand up for yourself. Whether it be in social or business situations, someone is trying to manipulate you today. Don’t let their “status” cause you to feel diminished or not in control of your life. Your strength is exactly what they like most about you and why they’re trying to control you.

You’ve been pushed around enough and you maybe still healing from the last person who tried to put you down. But remember bullies aren’t as strong as they think they are. They use fear and threats to maintain control of others. It only takes one person to stand up to that wall of silence to break it down and allow the flood gates to come pouring in.

Judge your situation carefully. There’s always other people to be friends with. There’s always another job to attain. If someone has unjustly crossed you, don’t be afraid to stand up to them. Make sure everyone understands you are not going to be the victim of their scam.

Have faith in yourself. You deserve respect for being who you are and surviving the challenges you’ve been through. You are much stronger than you give yourself credit for and you don’t have to fall for the false attention and unwanted platitudes. So protect yourself today and say thank you to the compliment, but be watchful for the scam.
