Don’t let the little irritations get to you today. There’s a lot going on and you need to focus on your bigger issues. Make agreements, place your stake in the events you need to be part of and go about your business. Let others fight their own ground and be supportive when asked. But don’t stick your nose where it doesn’t belong. You don’t have the time, or resources to fight in someone else’s cause.
It’s one thing to RT a picture of support and another to take on the fight from the front lines. Make sure you have a stake in the battle before you begin lecturing others or providing editorials about events that don’t hit home at your house.
You have a lot on your plate already. You have your own battles to deal with as it is. You have the experience and the right to make comment on your struggles, but make sure you don’t allow that to over flow to someone elses pond. A battle of words over something you have no involvement with will back fire and put you in a very uncomfortable situation. Stick to being a big fish in your pond; and let the little fish in the big pond vie for their own status.
Show your support, and concern. “Let me know if you need anything” can go a long way to helping out and letting others know you care. Even if you’re not called upon to share your time or energy, your offer will be appreciated. Then let it go and focus on your own work and your own struggles. Continue reading
