Take your seat of influence and power to rule over your domain in balance and clarity. Your skill as a negotiator will impress many, as will your wisdom and compassion. The sovereign doesn’t have to know all the answers. They don’t need to rule with an iron fist and cold heart. They merely need to know who the experts are, have the understanding to know who to listen to and the wisdom to ascertain who’s trying to be something they’re not.

It’s not fear or platitudes that make a good leader. It’s the confidence to be who you are at any given moment. Admitting you don’t know everything, no matter how schooled you are, or how experienced you maybe takes the power over you out of the hands of others. No one knows it all. What is important is being ok with that, not feeling slighted or insecure about listening to the expertise of others. Even if all you’re going to do is use it to forward your own research about the matter.

A leader of substance is always aware that everyone has a part to play in our own little kingdom. But the ultimate choices are held within us. We are accountable for the decisions, even if that decision is to forgo having a basic understanding of the topic and following along with what someone is telling you to do. Do you really want to give away all your trust like that? Don’t you think it might be better to attain input and counsel from others; research a little bit about what both sides have shared, and then make an informed decision about what YOU should do in your own kingdom?

Talking it out doesn’t make a person weak. It means we’re smart enough to know that someone else has a broader understanding of the topic at hand. Talking it out with them and putting their knowledge on your bigger picture will give you a greater view of your kingdom and how the decisions can impact your short and long-term plans. But you can’t do that if you simply follow blindly along the path they are leading you down. I thought you were the leader; shouldn’t they be following you?

Knowing when to listen to insights from others is key to making your own choices. But knowing which person to listen to is part of the crucial choice being laid out before you. Being accountable doesn’t mean going all in with what “he said” or being leery of a choice because of “her perspectives”. No one said you had to take the an all or nothing path. You’re the ruler of your kingdom, someone is going to tell you not to mix and match as you please? Really? Well show them the door and do what feels right in your head and your heart. Putting the practical in balance with the spiritual insight will help keep your perspectives in balance.

For today and through the weekend, weigh all the information; not against each other, but against what solutions you feel right about and those you don’t. Do your research on what has been shared with you and distinguish which ones have merit to become part of the bigger solution. Mix and match ideas that can fit together in balance and create the harmony within the energy of each solution. Then you can lead the way and leave the choice to follow-up for others to make up their own minds.

You’ll find that your skills to attract and influence will help you communicate your goals and create success for any project or plan you face over the next three days. Winning friends and influencing people is how you will get ahead at this point and time. Pushing others to do something they don’t want to do, isn’t the answer. Nor should it be something you allow others to do to you. If you want to run your own life, then you’ll have to step up to the plate. Take responsibility and be the one who makes their own decisions that are right for them in the here and now. You can do it. It’s much better to be out front and leading the way, than to follow in the dust of others.
