You’ve worked hard all summer in your garden. You’re burning the candle at both ends and overworking yourself. While you may feel you “need” to do this, you’re using up your supply of energy and eventually your physical body will break down and force you to rest. Avoid the cold and get some rest.
Additional Insight:
Not only do you need some sleep; you need to really rest and relax. Make plans today to clear your calendar for at least 1, better 2 days of down time. Don’t set time aside to go on a hike or adventure. While that might help you release pent up stress, it will be a physical excursion that your body cannot spare right now. You need to set some time aside where you can simply chill out, lay on the couch, read a book, watch an old movie and take a nap or two…or four.
If you don’t take care of yourself physical self and your mental stress, you won’t be able to take care of business. You will lose less time and use less energy if you take this short 1 or 2 day break over the next 5 days.
Everything you’re working on will still be there and can wait for your full attention. Begin planning your down time today and you’ll be able to tie up some loose ends, organize projects for next week and feel comfortable in finding some time for YOU to relax and goof off for a day or two.
All work and no play really can make you sick. Take a little time to play….for your own good.

Thanks for this one. Last night my headache, exhustion and I were sitting in front of the computer – debating to call in sick on Friday or not. I slept 12 hours last night, so I think my body really needed the rest. I’m looking forward to an easy day today. I’ll unpack the rest of my books – and read one too.
