Keep your mouth shut today. Your words will not be taken the way you intended and it could get you in trouble. Even if you have something to say that rights a wrong or exposes an injustice, this is not the day to speak up. Lay low and you’ll avoid conflict. There will be time later in the week to speak up, in the right time and place. And more importantly to the right person.

Additional Insight:

If you speak up too soon you could get your facts wrong or tell the wrong person. Hold off and make sure you know who the players are and what’s really going on. There’s magik afoot in today’s activities, but you must be patient and let it play out a little longer.

Some around you are not in a good mood. Trying to be the life of the party and share a joke or make light of a situation isn’t going to get the reaction you want or expected. It’s ok to hide under the mushrooms and think. You don’t have to be the center of attention or the class clown that makes everyone laugh. Let everyone else fend for themselves today and you take care of you. Get some rest, relax and do some frivolous thinking through the weekend. You’ll feel better by Monday.

Additional Insight:

Hidden under the shrooms is a lot of fertile ground. You can do some good thinking under there. So it’s ok if you want some space and feel the need to be alone. But let others know you’re not mad at them, or their liable to think the worst and imagine all sorts of things.

Today you can hide away and get some things done that have been piling up. Through the weekend, pull the covers up, stay warm and get some extra sleep. You’ve earned it and more importantly you may need it to stay off a cold. It’s ok to think of yourself right now. But don’t suffer in silence or others may not understand your need for rest.

Don’t be afraid to call out for what you need. Asking for help isn’t a sign of weakness. It takes courage to admit you need assistance. Stop thinking you’re a burden or you’re going to be judged harshly. Those fears will only create negative interactions. Toot your own horn and describe the accomplishments you’ve made. You’ll find the help you need, because you deserve it and you’ve earned it.

Additional Insight:

To often we don’t want to appear weak in the eyes of others. So we suffer in silence, or feel those close to us should simply know we need assistance. And when it doesn’t come, we turn the judgement on them and tell ourselves ‘they don’t care’.

We put way too much value on the judgements of others. They don’t define who we are, unless we give up that control over our own life. Their opinions really have no assessment to our current situation, path or life. They’re not perfect and have their own flaws and lessons to face and learn. The only judgement that matters is what you think of yourself.

Be careful where you tread as emotions are in delicate balance today. Banish the negative influences that hover around you. Fill the void with faith that everything is going to be ok. Strength and fortitude will get you through the concern of the day. It’s a day of compassion, but remember you need to be compassionate to yourself first. You deserve it too.

Additional Insight:

There are two astrological influences to think about this week. The waning moon which reminds us to let go of the negative and replace it with the positive. Stop the bad habits, especially those that cause you to replay the negative self talk. Walk away from the toxic people who do nothing but suck your energy and leave you drained. End the fight with those who thrive on confrontation. They can’t push your buttons if you refuse to stay on the battlefield.  Quite often, walking away is the best way to win the war.

The second influence comes from the subtle energy shift of the coming Mercury Retrograde that begins on April 28th and will last through May 22nd. This retrograde impacts all communication, written and spoken. Make sure you’re getting questions answered and resolve details that have you confused before the 28th! Miscommunication is likely to make your emotions imagine the worst and bring your energy down even further.

Let the past be and focus on the future. If you need to know, you’ll be told. Otherwise stop imagining things that aren’t there. Trust that you’re being taken care of and that everything is going to be alright. Because it will be.

At some point you need to trust that things are going according to your plan and the Divine force in your life is guiding you right where you need to be. You may think you “want” something else. But it’s not really what you “need” and you know it. Stop being scared of where the eventual plan is taking you. If something is going on behind your back, then maybe that situation, or that person, aren’t meant to be part of your future plan. You’re still expecting the other shoe to drop because things seem the same as they were back in the beginning. But they’re not the same. You have changed and not just a little bit. You’ve grown much more than you believe you have. You’ve learned just how strong you really are and how much you can handle and get through.

That realized strength will carry you through the little challenges you face today. And yes, they’re little. They’re not the mountain you’re trying to think they are. If you keep focusing on that giant mountain of the past, you’re going to rebuild the problems and face them all over again. It really is all in your head. There are times when you can go outside your list and help others. But today isn’t one of them. You don’t have the time to waste. Everyone has a sob story, but it’s not your responsibility to bail someone else out when decided to play instead of doing what needed to be done.

Saying “No”, might not be in your history, but if you don’t stand up for your own needs, others will take advantage of you. You can’t transfer the trouble from their plate to yours. You’ve worked too hard to get where you are. And you have the right to say “I’m sorry I can’t help you today”. If they get mad, that’s their choice. Remind them you’re not a door mat.
