It’s easy to be exhausted after all the fighting you seem to be doing lately. Try to take it easy today. You have a lot of love on your side and someone whose arms you can rest in. If you need a hug, ask for one. Don’t expect others to simply know you need it. They’ll be happy to give it to you.
For some, the battles may not be over. For others things have finally come to an end. In either case, you need to take care of yourself with some tender loving healing. Whither it’s a nap, a few moments to sit and stare at the trees or a nice long bath. Whatever it is, take the time to indulge yourself sometime today.
The weeds that remain, can wait for a day. It’s hard to tear them down and think of a solution when you’ve been drained emotionally and physically. Let them sit, it will be ok. But if you can’t relax because of those remaining issues, talk to someone who you have great trust in. Ask them to stand guard for you. Even if it’s just for a few hours to close your eyes.
If someone wants to take you out to lunch, or to go out on an errand, say thank you. They’re probably only trying to help. But you need rest, not adventure. If it’s someone unexpected making the offer, take that as a clear sign that someone is trying to get you out of the way. Don’t let their games get to you. They’re phishing for information they can weaponize in this ridiculous battle. Instead of getting upset, let that be a sign that you’re winning. They have nothing to justify their side of the battle and they’re desperate.
By evening, your world will become quiet and you should take advantage of the peace. The more you worry, and the more energy you use on this battle, the bigger impact it will have on your health. Take a vitamin C, fix a hot toddy, do what you do to ward off a cold. But most of all, get some rest and much needed sleep. Things will look much better tomorrow.
