Be vigilant today and keep an eye on your domain. Someone is trying to encroach on your territory and take over your command. Don’t fall into their trap and start a fight with them. Everyone has a boss and to be a good leader, you must follow the chain of command. The Rules of Engagement are there to protect you, as much as to protect the entire kingdom. Your focus on the greater good, will serve your cause much more than picking a petty fight with a wanna be General.

Don’t sit back and just take it. If you’re fuming, you’re allowing a situation to fester that will either destroy you or push you out. Be the fair and balanced leader that remains calm and uses your resources wisely. The over reach by others will be seen as a doubling of effort and expense that will cost everyone more than it should. But you will need to raise the alarm with those in charge with a clear and thought out reasoning.

If you are the one in charge, then it’s time to assert yourself and enforce your authority over your domain. You can’t sit back and let others attempt to speak for you, or push you into decisions you don’t want to do. This isn’t about your being liked or needing approval to stroke your confidence. Put the ego away. This is about leading from the top and being in charge of the ship with reason, not dominance. Too many Captains will sink the ship. Too many advisers will destroy the leadership and your authority to manage your kingdom.

It may take a few days to reassert your control over your jurisdiction. Don’t back down, don’t give in and DON’T get mad! Anger will not win the battle. Using your brain over brawn will establish your thoughtful review and plans for the long-term success. While others are only thinking short-term, wasting resources and blowing budgets. By remaining vigilant and on top of things, you’ll be the one who wins the day and not only will you retain the crown, you’ll gain the bigger prize of respect and admiration. You might even succeed in pushing out your rival with the support of everyone else involved. Seize the day!
