Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Eight of Wands – Inverted

The Gilded Tarot by Ciro Marchetti - Eight of Wands - Inverted

The Gilded Tarot by Ciro Marchetti

Be careful what you ask for, somethings come with a shock attached that can knock you off your feet. The grass is always greener on the other side, because you’re too far away to see the weeds. Don’t let the warped view of others, alter your course. You  don’t see what they see, nor have you walked in their shoes. Show some compassion and try to look at things from their side. You might be trying to get to the same place.

Additional Insight:

Everyone has their view of the world around them. And even when they’re standing right next to you, what can be seen and how it’s viewed will be different. Your experiences always warp your view and no two people have gone through the exact same things in life.

You may see flaws, when they see blessings. You may see the glass half empty, when they’re excited to merely have a glass. When you can’t walk in their shoes, try to show some compassion instead of making them see things your way. Attempt to understand where they’re coming from and respond differently to their knee jerk reactions. You could be hitting a nerve that has never been able to heal. And they’re responding to those deep wounds that seriously color their view.

You can turn things around and create a day that rockets you into a great adventure. Or you can risk exploding and destroying what you already have. Don’t push, don’t demand and don’t guilt or shame others into being what you want them to be. Remember you’re not perfect either. And your answer may not solve the real problem at hand either. So don’t make demands when the answer is elusive and you’re not seeing the whole picture.

By Thursday things will be back to normal and moving forward as they should be. Until then, keep your voice calm, your attitude compassionate and don’t judge when you don’t fully understand the struggle their facing within. It’s not your place to learn the lesson for them and you may only make things worse.

Try giving a hug instead of responding in anger. Rest your hand on their shoulder and let them know things will sort themselves out. This bump is temporary. Touch their hand and give them a sense of security and stability. Let them know that no matter what, you’re still going to be standing by their side. Even if you see the field beyond in a different way. That’s what makes life full of wonder and gives you something to share.
