Rest your sword, you’ve no need to fight. The battles are done and the home fires are burning brightly in peace. Release the stress and allow yourself to relax. Don’t carry the anxiety any longer, as it will not serve your physical health well. You’ve made it through the clouds and it’s time to bask in the glow of your triumph.
You don’t need to keep your sword handy in anticipation of another battle. Allow things to get back to normal and relax a little. You might find some solace in the nitty-gritty responsibilities of life once again. No need to hold onto the stress of war, when there’s no conflict to deal with.
The big battles are over. The little irritations don’t need to be blown out of proportion. The more you hold on to the tools of war, the more you pull additional energies of conflict toward you. Don’t become jaded and look at the sky with trepidation each time you see a little cloud. Doing so will give fuel to the fires on the other side and you’ll allow them the satisfaction of winning and/or being right.
Remember what you’ve accomplished and what you endured. You led the way through the briars of struggle and despair. You fought to keep your world in your domain. You battled and worked hard to be where you are at this moment in time. But most importantly, you survived! You’ve reached the crowning moment of stability and you’re still standing. You’re still here. You’re still working toward your ultimate dreams. Relax and allow your thoughts to slow down and discover fulfillment in what you’ve gotten through and accomplished. It wasn’t easy, you may have lost a lot, but they were “things” you didn’t need in your life to get to where you needed to be.
It’s another day to pay attention to your breathing. Take in the life that’s around you. Get back to being you with a smile on your face and a laugh in your heart. You’ve overcome the mountain of challenges and you’ve come out ok. Now it’s time to pick up the pieces and get back to the every day moments of life that bring you fulfillment, relaxation and joy. Don’t let these moments go by with acknowledging their presence. After all you’ve been through, you deserve to notice how red the roses are, how sweet the breezes smell and how bright the world is around you. It’s your day. Seize it!
